Kian woke up and looked at the ceiling. He can’t believe his Gege is a Whitlock. He sighed. Yesterday he was over the moon, in the moment at least. Kian barely slept because his mind was racing.
When he first felt Yuan on top of him, he was sure it was Shaotian. He doesn’t know why, but he immediately pictured his face. Even when he spoke, he kept picturing him, then again Yuan and Shaotian’s voice sounds alike.
Maybe he kept picturing Shaotian because he was thinking about him before going to bed. He doesn’t comprehend why he hates him so much. Kian hasn’t done anything to him, but he seems hellbent on angering him.
For some reason, it bothers him when he shouldn’t care. Shaotian anger him, he just wants to hit him. If he continues, he will. Instead of being happy that Yuan is his Gege, he’s angry at Shaotian.
He even ruined his reunion with Gege. Kian sighed again, he won’t think about that jerk anymore. Kian tilted his head, thinking about Yuan. He doesn’t understand why he doesn’t want him to know about his identity.

Kian looked at him and said:

Then if that wasn’t bad enough, he pushed you. After everything that you’ve done for him, he still treats you that way. He isn’t your friend."
Kian swallowed and smiled sadly.
"I know. I’ve had feelings for him since we were kids, and it was hard to say no to him. Even when he treated me terribly. But yesterday I realized that I deserve better. I’m done letting him walk all over me. I’m going to keep my distance from him."
Xiaoshu felt relieved to hear that.
"You’ll see that it’s for the best."
Kian nodded and smiled.
Kian doesn’t care, he’s just acting for the cameras. But this shows that Xiaoshu was his only real friend. When they reached the mess, they both took a tray. As soon as they were served, they took a seat at an empty table.

"Kian how are you?"
When Kian ignored him, he looked at him sadly. He knows he screwed yesterday, and he’s sure they already aired what happened.
"Kian I apologize for yesterday. I was upset and took it out on you. Will you please forgive me?"
When Kian ignored him again, he asked:
"Are you going to ruin 18 years of friendship just for a mistake?"
Xiaoshu chuckled.
"You’re excellent at turning the situation around. What kind of person treats his best friend the way you treat him? You wouldn’t even be here if it wasn’t for him. And how do you thank him? By pushing him on the floor."
Tan forced himself not to strangle him. He glanced around and saw that everyone was listening. He stayed vague on purpose.
"I’m talking to Kian, stay out of it, weirdo."
Kian said:
"Don’t talk to him like that, Tan. Let’s just end our friendship. It never meant anything to you, and I finally accepted it. I’ll stay out of your way, and I’ll thank you to do the same."
Tan looked at Kian stunned. Did he just say what he said? Kian has been in love with him forever, he can’t even stand it when they don’t talk for less than an hour. He’s just upset, but he knows that he’ll come crawling back like usual.
Tan asked:
"We live together, how are we going to stay out of each other’s way?"
"You can have the apartment."
Xiaoshu frowned.
"You pay for everything, he should move out."
Tan yelled out of patience:
"You shut up!"
Everyone looked at him stunned. They’ve never seen an omega with such a short temper.
Tan coughed and forced a smile.
"I understand that you need time. Hopefully, we’ll be able to have a private conversation in a few days. Thank you for leaving me the apartment."
"Sure."
Tan turned around and left. Xiaoshu looked at him go with dark eyes.
"Why would you leave him the apartment?"
"I was planning to move anyway, now that I’ve come into some money."
Tan who had heard walked slower. Xiaoshu asked:
"Where are you going to move?"
Kian said with a smile:
"I’ve always dreamed of living at the Trillias tower. I’ve already sent a demand and was approved. Plus it’s not too far from the Bei Academy, so it’s perfect."
Xiaoshu looked at him stunned.
"The Trillias tower? That place is crazy expensive."
Kian said:
"I know that’s why I bought a penthouse there."
Xiaoshu blinked. Even if his parents have money, he could never afford to buy a penthouse at Trillias tower. That building is incredible, everyone dreams of spending the night there. Some people save up for months just for a weekend.
