Kian walked out when someone knocked in his quarters. He smiled at Xiaoshu when he saw that they were wearing the same ensemble, it was just a different color.
Xiaoshu chuckled.
"You have good taste."
"You too."
They walked to the closest simulation room but saw that it was occupied. The three next they went to, were as well.
Kian used Versem to see and walked toward the bridge, where there was an empty simulation room. Xiaoshu felt confused about why he would go so far and stopped.
"Let’s try the ones over there first."
Kian turned and held his wrist, pulling him.
"Trust me, the one after the bridge will be empty. The recruits are scared they might run into Shaotian."
Kian stopped when he hit something hard and put a hand on his forehead. He rubbed it and gazed at what he hit.
He immediately became annoyed.
"Sorry."
Shaotian asked with cold eyes:
"Shouldn’t you look where you’re going?"
"I had my back to you, while you could see me. Couldn’t you avoid me?"
Shaotian narrowed his eyes, and Kian looked at Yuan when he smelled his pheromones. He couldn’t stop himself from smiling at him.
Yuan smiled back. Not only is Yuan handsome, but he is sweet and smells like the angel’s trumpet. He exudes a sweet and strong aroma.
Kian feels the need to get closer to him, even more, because of it. His eyes already make him want to reach out. Yuan looked at Xiaoshu and smiled at him gently.
Xiaoshu smiled back. He’s never met an alpha who looks so nice before. Yuan asked them:
"Where are you going?"
Kian answered:
"The simulation room."
Shaotian asked:
"Don’t you know there’s plenty of them on the other side?"
Kian ignored him and kept looking at Yuan who was looking at him.
"All the rooms there are taken."
Yuan said with a smile:
"Come on, I’ll walk you there."
Kian nodded with shiny eyes.
Yuan couldn’t stop himself from caressing his cheek. Kian makes him want to take care of him, he’s too sweet.
Kian’s cheeks flushed, and he walked next to Yuan. Xiaoshu walked on the other side. Kian looked to his left with a frown, when he saw that Shaotian was walking with them.
Shaotian tilted his head and raised an eyebrow:
"Do you think you get to decide where I go in my ship?"
Yuan looked at Shaotian and sighed. He then looked at Xiaoshu and asked for his name. Kian ignored Shaotian while Yuan and Xiaoshu discussed.
He looked at Shaotian when he asked:
"Do you think it’s okay for you to call me by my name like we’re the same?"
Kian who had lost all patience asked:
"What do you mean by that?"
"I’m Bei Shaotian. I don’t have to tell you my family’s history, everyone knows it. I’m your private while you’re just..."
Kian cut him and asked:
"I’m just an orphan?"
Shaotian looked into Kian’s eyes and knew he had been triggered. Kian said:

Yuan and Xiaoshu stopped talking and looked at them. Kian stopped and so did Shaotian.
"I don’t understand, why did I do to make you hate me? All I did was be unaware when you entered. As soon as you told me to put my terminal away, I did. In no way was I disrespectful. Or are you the type of person who believes that my being an orphan, gives you the right to bully me? Do you think you’re the first person who’s done that?"
Kian took a step forward and said:
"No matter what you do, I’ll never give up Shaotian. I’ve been through hell and back to get here, and I won’t let anyone ruin that for me, even if the army is yours. I can’t believe I thought you were a fair private. Everyone said that despite your coldness, you were just and cared for those who were willing to fight by your side."
Kian looked at him and his eyes filled with tears. He blinked them back and said:
"At least now I know what to expect from you."
After saying that, Kian left in a hurry and Xiaoshu ran after him. Kian entered the simulation room. He didn’t look upset anymore, it was as though he was never hurt.
He meant everything he said to Shaotian, he just wants him to leave him alone. He knows he will now. Kian isn’t hurt by his attitude, why would he? He doesn’t know him.
Furthermore, that way when he wins the trial, he’ll be able to ask Yuan to train him because of that. It works out perfectly.
Yuan grabbed Shaotian’s wrist and pulled him into his office. He closed the door and asked angrily:
"What’s your deal with Kian, man?"
Shaotian passed a hand in his hair and paced around. He doesn’t have a deal with Kian, he just hates his face and the way he blushes.
