Kian and Lucian walked out of Magnus’ office hand in hand. When Lucian stopped, Kian looked at him. He pulled him into his embrace and said:
"You can tell me anything, there’s nothing you can do that will change how I feel about you."
Kian wrapped his arms around his neck.
"I won’t keep anything from you ever again, I promise. I can’t wait for all of this to be over, so I don’t have to deal with them anymore. Serena will not be happy when she finds out we’re together, and that marriage is no longer on the contract."
Lucian said:
"I don’t care how she feels. All I care about is you. I will not stop myself from being with the person I love, just for her ego. And the person who’s going to lose it when he finds out you and I are together is Elian."
Kian said:
"You’re my soulmate. It’s just the way it is."
Lucian smiled.
"And you’re mine, bunny. I would do anything for you. If I could give you more than half of my life, I would."
Kian smiled and Lucian leaned in to kiss him.
Elian, who was hiding at the side, left for his chambers. As soon as he closed the door, he destroyed it in a fit of rage. He sat down in the middle of the chaos, his hands tightened into fists.
He can’t believe Kian is with Lucian when he’s the one who dealt with his doctor and aunt. He was just about to finish Serena and Cayus, but why should he do that now? He said that Lucian is his soulmate, and he’ll never be able to make him his, no matter what.
He was about to be the one to save Kian, but Lucian did it first. After thinking, Elian stood up and left the room.
Cayus entered his daughter’s bedroom and took a seat next to her on the bed.
"Are you okay?"
"Of course, I’m not okay. What does Lucian see in Kian? Why would he care about him when he’ll die in less than two weeks? I’m the one with whom he’s going to spend the rest of his life, not Kian!"
Cayus said:
"I know it’s hard, but you just have to be patient. He’ll die soon."
"He’s not dying anymore."
Cayus and Serena looked at Elian surprised, who had shown up out of nowhere. Cayus smiled and said:

He doesn’t know how long he’s been here. But if he heard their entire conversation, they’re screwed. He can see that Elian has feelings for Kian, just like Lucian does. Cayus doesn’t get what they see in him.
Elian smiled.
"It’s more what we can do for each other."
Serena asked:
"What are you talking about?"
Elian explained:
"I caught Kian and Lucian talking. They took the marriage out of the proposal, and the two of them are together. Lucian even gave him half of his life, so he can stay alive. He found a solution to his condition."
Elian doesn’t care that they are responsible for Kian’s ailment now. He’ll do what he has to do to take the throne, and he might as well have a pretty girl at his side. He’ll at least be able to control Serena, since she’ll be grateful.
Serena and Cayus felt shocked. Serena looked at her father and saw that he was speechless. She banked everything on that wedding and Kian dying, but now none of those things are happening.
Cayus woke up and asked:
"Why are you telling us that?"
"Because I know you don’t want Kian to live. I can see your hatred for him, and I’m willing to help you destroy him and Lucian."
Serena frowned.
"Why?"
"I should be the king of all vampires, and I’d like for you to be my queen."
Serena looked at him, not sure what to say.
The only way to prolong her and her father’s lives is if she joins the vampire in marriage. Even if she likes Lucian better, Elian is still handsome. And they’ll be helping each other, so they can add that condition.
Serena said:
"We will if you also elongate our life.."
Cayus looked at his daughter, surprised. She takes more after her mother than he thought.
Elian walked to Serena and gave her his hand. Serena shook it with a smile.
Cayus asked:
"Do you have a plan?"
"I do. We’ll let two beasts loose, and it’ll kill Kian and Lucian."
Cayus frowned. Seriously that’s his plan? He expected more.
"No beast can be let loose, they upped security after what happened. And how can you be confident that the beast will target Lucian and Kian? Moreover, the two of them are powerful. They’ll be able to stop it."
Elian said:
"That’s where your help will be needed. People will believe that the beasts were let loose, but I’ll bring it to the tribune with me."
Serena said:
"People will notice if you enter the tribune with an enormous beast."
"Not the one I have. It’s the black scorpion, it can shrink to the size of an ant. I’ll release two of them, and they’ll bite Lucian and Kian. They’ll immediately freeze because of the poison, and the scorpion will devour them once they grow. I need you to put a spell on the scorpions to guarantee it’s under my command."
Serena smiled, and her eyes flashed with excitement. It seems like Elian thought of everything.
"Father and I will use both our powers to make sure they are under your control."
Elian spoke:
"Good, I’ll bring them to you. The cage it’s in, blocks their power, so they won’t be able to grow, don’t worry."
Serena and Cayus nodded, and Elian left to get the cage with a smile. He will not leave anything up to chance. Kian and Lucian will die during the next Beast Warfare.
Kian closed Versem and smiled. Elian is so predictable. He was supposedly in love with him, yet he moved on so fast. It took him minutes, literally.
He and Lucian had that conversation on purpose. They’re both powerful, of course, they can tell when someone is hiding. The next BW will be so much fun.
