"Are you okay?"

Luka didn’t ask more, he’s probably nervous about his meeting with Dr.Cheng. When they finished eating they left for Eden’s appointment.
Storm inconspicuously put the chandelier in a timer then he left to talk to his friend on set. He’s the one he’s been staying at and he agreed to help him with his plan.
"I set the chandelier it’ll fall in an hour. You’ll have 10 seconds exactly to get me out of the way."

Storm smiled and he left to talk to Rune.

Storm looked at him waiting for an answer but he was lost in thought. He shook him annoyed.
"Rune?"
Rune finally woke up.
"Yes?"
"I was asking if you’re sure that Eden will show up."
"He is he just had an appointment this morning."
Storm nodded.
"Everything is set you remember the plan right?"
"I do all I have to do is point the finger at Eden."
"Exactly then I’ll finally be able to get rid of him for good."
Rune gave a perfunctory smile and Storm left. When he was gone his smile disappeared and his foot started to tap the floor nervously again. Since yesterday he feels terrible and guilty. He was about to betray Eden again when he is sick. He could’ve been sent to jail for hurting Storm. He had no idea he had the same illness as Storm, he wish he trusted him enough to tell him but he doesn’t.
It’s not like he blame him, he was sleeping with his twin and sabotaging his career. He almost wasn’t cast in the role of the person he admired since he was a kid because of him. He can’t betray him again. He is just grateful that Storm had left before Luka and Eden argued in front of everyone. He doesn’t know that he knows that Eden is sick. If he has to let the chandelier fall on him to make sure that he never hurts Eden again he will. He feels that everything Storm has said to him was a lie. Eden would never bully anyone, all the things he said he did are things that Storm would do. He won’t betray him again and show him that he truly loves him.
Eden walked in with a happy Luka. He is better but he knew that Luka had to hear it from Dr.Cheng. Dr.Cheng was surprised to see how better he was but incredibly happy. He’s always been there for Eden and truly cared for him and he is grateful. When they entered the director Arsen and Cael the writer of the book came to him. They looked worried and Cael asked:
"How did it go at the doctor?"
Eden smiled reassuringly.
"Well, I had another doctor I just forget to tell my old one. My health has been improving thanks to the treatment I have been getting, I’m much better I promise."
Cael immediately hug him with a huge smile and so did Arsen.
It feels weird to be in a universe where so many people care about him and also did in the original timeline. Eden made sure that Storm was still in his dressing room and he quickly reassured the whole crew. They’ve all been worried about him since he and Luka had their conversation in front of all of them. When he was done he left for Storm’s dressing room with a bottle of juice.
He entered and Storm looked at him through the mirror while the hairdressers were styling his hair. Eden smiled apologetically and handed him the bottle.
"I’m sorry for what happened the other day I was upset and I shouldn’t have taken my anger on you. I got you your favorite."
Storm took the bottle and it was indeed his favorite. He smiled.
"Don’t worry I understand."
Eden smiled brightly his eyes sparkling, he seemed so happy that Storm wasn’t holding a grudge.
Storm smiled his eyes flashing mockingly. He can’t believe that after everything he’s done to him he still apologizes. If they didn’t look alike he would be sure they are not related. How can someone be this stupid? He became annoyed when Eden asked:
"Arent you going to drink it?"

Eden looked at him sadly.
"So you don’t forgive me."
The hairdressers felt extremely bad seeing him like that.
One of them said:
"You should drink it now to show Eden that you forgive him."
Storm’s hands tightened into fists. Even when Eden does something wrong he’s always seen as a victim. He took a breath, he’ll be rid of him for good today. He opened the bottle and drank half of it. Eden said with a smile:
"Now I know that you forgive me. I’ll go get ready."
Storm looked at him leave with an evil smile.
After getting his hair done and dressing Storm left for the set with an excited smile. He looked at his watch and walked faster. He stood underneath the chandelier and he looked at his friend. He winked at him and he smiled. His scene is about to start in two minutes so everyone is around which is the perfect moment to have the accident. When only 15 seconds were left he looked at his friend, he was still in place but he was talking to Eden and Luka. He frowned and he called him. Despite his calls, he was still deep in conversation with Eden and Luka. What does everything have to be about Eden? He moved to make sure he wouldn’t get hurt but he couldn’t. He tried to move again and again but his body was paralyzed. He started to panic and he called his friend desperately.
One of the crew members asked what he needed but he said nothing. He can’t ask someone to save him it would be suspicious. How can he explain that he knows the chandelier is about to fall? He called his friend again and everyone looked at him like he was crazy. You could feel his panic as every second passed. He yelled in rage:
"Eden I hate you! You always ruin- Aaaaaaah."
Before he could finish his sentence the chandelier fell and he lost consciousness.
When he screamed everyone looked at him and they were all horrified to see all the blood. Eden ran and after pushing the chandelier he took his pulse. One of the crew members called the ambulance.
Eden looked as the ambulance left for the hospital. Arsen put a hand on his shoulder
"Don’t worry they’ll do everything to make sure he is okay. We’ll take a week off to investigate so you’ll be able to be by his side."
Eden smiled at him and he went back inside. After everyone reassured him he undressed and left with Luka.
In the car, he asked:
"Are you okay?"
"I’m more than okay. He was planning to have the man we were talking to save him and put the blame on me for trying to kill him. Too bad I ruined his plan and he’ll end up bedridden and paralyzed until he dies."
He put an invisible chip in the bottle of juice. With it he has control over his body this is why he couldn’t move. Unfortunately, the chandelier falling on him wouldn’t have a life-changing effect so he made sure that he would never be able to move until he dies. There’s nothing worst than feeling trapped in your own body. He just wants him to suffer a few years then he’ll blow his brain out. It’s not like he can compete with Eden who has technology from the future thanks to Versem.
Luka looked at Eden stunned.
"That son of bitch was still after you?"
Eden smiled maliciously.
"Not anymore."

"You should’ve killed him!"
"I know him being paralyzed is worst than death. He loves being in the limelight but now he’ll be stuck in a useless shell."
Luka calmed down hearing that.
"Once he has suffered enough I’ll make sure he dies painfully."
Luka smiled viciously.
"Good."
He kissed Eden then he pulled back and ordered:
"You’re coming to my house tonight to have dinner with my father. He knows that you’re finally my mate and he wants to get to know you better."
Eden nodded with a smile. He knows how close Luka is to Cedro plus he likes him, Luka is lucky to have him as a father. When they arrived at Eden’s house he came down from the car and said:
"I’ll see you tonight."
"See you tonight, I’ll send you a car."
Eden nodded and watched the car leave feeling complicated.
Colton and Alaric casually walked down the halls of the hospital. When they arrived at room 204 they opened the door and entered. They looked at Storm who was laying on the bed getting checked by the doctor after his surgery. They took a seat so as not to bother the doctor. When he was done he turned around and asked:
"Are you Storm’s parents?"
Alaric said:
"We are."
The doctor explained:
"Your son has a minor concussion, the chandelier mostly fell on his shoulder but unfortunately It hit the cerebrum."
Colton asked curiously:
"What is that?"
"It’s the thinking part of the brain and it controls your voluntary movements."
"Are you saying he is paralyzed?"
The doctor said:
"He is I’m sorry."
The doctor expected them to burst into tears or have any kind of reaction but they simply nodded. He felt that maybe it hadn’t sunk in yet.
"He’ll never be able to walk or move any part of his body."
Alaric said:
"We understand doctor. Is he able to speak?"
"He is."
Alaric nodded and he asked:
"Can we speak to our son alone?"
"Of course."
The doctor left and they both stood up looking at Storm’s state. He had a cast over his entire arm and a bandage around his head. Colton asked:
"How are you doing?"
Storm said after clearing his throat with tears running down his face:
"I feel terrible, my entire body aches, I still feel the pain but I’m unable to move..."
After a few seconds Storm murmured:
"Now my dream is over I’ll never be able to be an actor again."
Eden that asshole ruined his plan and now he’ll never be able to move again. He can’t understand how things turn out this way.
His plan was perfect but because of Eden talking to his friend he wasn’t able to save him. He still can’t understand how he became paralyzed like that. It never happened to him before it makes no sense. Even if it happened his friend would’ve been able to push him out of the way but because of Eden he didn’t. Storm starter to cry uncontrollably and he said:
"This is all Eden’s fault!"
Alaric’s eyes flashed and he asked:
"How so?"
Between sobs Storm said:
"The chandelier can be put on a timer and he timed it with my scene."
Storm was surprised when Colton looked at him furiously. He’s been feeling that something is wrong since they entered the room. Even when he would cough his mother would run to him but he had an accident and when he entered the room he just took a seat. He thought that his parents would cry when they found out that he is paralyzed but they didn’t. He expected that from his father since he is emotionally closed off but not his mother. He felt that his anger was directed at him but then he thought that there is no way. He probably imagined it, he has a concussion he must be angry at Eden. Alaric said:
"They did an investigation and they found the culprit. They are security cameras on set."
Storm looked at his father nervously. How can they have a tape when he bought the security guard to make sure they would be off. He asked:
"Who was the culprit?"
"Eden’s manager Rune."
Storm looked at Alaric wide-eyed. It doesn’t make any sense he agreed to help him. He lost consciousness after the chandelier fell but he knows that Rune would have his back no matter what.
"What are you talking about?"
"We can see him on tape dropping the chandelier when you were underneath it."
Storm looked at Alaric shocked. Is that why he couldn’t move? Did Rune put something on the floor like glue? He can’t believe he betrayed him.
"He admitted at the police station that the plan was for the chandelier to fall on you and blame Eden for it. He said that he doesn’t want to betray Eden anymore and follow your plans."
Storm gaped. That son of a bitch! He really betrayed him for Eden. He was sleeping with him while Eden would treat him like his bitch but he still had his back. Storm said:
"Mother father I was only doing it for you. I know how stressed you were with him owning Rgency."
Colton approached and he slapped him. Storm’s head flew to the left and his eyes were opened wide in shock. His mother dared to slap him! Colton tilted his head toward them since he knew he couldn’t move and he looked at him furiously. He yelled:
"He would’ve ended up in jail!"
Storm felt stunned. Still, he said with tears in his eyes:
"I was just trying to protect our family!"
He looked at him in fear when Colton was about to slap him again but Alaric held him. He seethed:
"All you’ve done is destroy our family with your lies!"
Storm asked his voice shaky:
"What are you talking about?"
Alaric said:
"We know the truth Storm. All those things you kept telling us that Eden did were lies."
Storm blinked not knowing what to say. He could tell from their demeanor that they had no doubt. He cried more and said:
"I just wanted you to love me as much as you loved him."
"Stop lying! You were just jealous and nothing more. You were willing to do everything to get rid of him even send him to jail!"
Storm looked at his mother in fear. He’s never seen him this angry before and he knew that he would need to work hard to get him back on his side. He decided to play the last card he had:
"You’re right, I was always sicker than him, and I thought it wasn’t fair. Even to this day, he is healthy while I’m still sick and now I’m even paralyzed."
He knows his mother will immediately fall for the sick card, it always works. He was surprised when Colton turn around and grabbed a folder out of his bag. He pulled out a paper and showed it to him. Storm looked at him confused then read it. When his eyes opened wide Colton took the paper away.
Colton said no longer angry but in pain:
"Everything that happened isn’t your fault it’s mine. I’m Eden’s mother I gave birth to him just like I did you but I didn’t know his heart. I never got to know him and I blindly believed everything you said about him. I should’ve had faith and trusted him when he said that he never did all the things you accused him of. If I did he wouldn’t hate me and he would still be in our life."
Alaric hugged his crying wife and said:
"It’s our fault. We’ll do everything to earn his trust and love back. We’ll never give up."
Colton pulled back and he nodded.
Storm looked at that scene angrier than he’s ever been. How did they find out the truth? Was it Rune again somehow? Again Eden is seen as a victim. Alaric said:
"You’ll be put in a facility where you’ll have 24h help for all your needs."
Storm looked at his mother panicked and said:
"Mother you can’t leave in a place like that. You’ll take care of me right?"
Colton said:
"I won’t. The only son I need to take care of now is Eden. We only came here to let you know and now that we did we’re done with you."
Colton turn around and left.
Storm started to cry and he looked at his father begging:
"Father please don’t abandon me."
Alaric looked at him expressionlessly and left.
Eden closed Versem when Alaric and Colton arrived home. He felt the need to see if everything they said to Storm was just an act or if they meant it. He took a deep breath and he stood up and got ready for dinner. When he arrived at the Zhephyr’s house he stood in front of the door for a long time not sure if he should knock. After 10 minutes he finally decided and was about to knock when the door opened. Luka came out and closed the door. He looked at Eden and said:
"I told you I would never keep anything from you so I need to tell you that my father invited your parents to dinner. He only told me when they arrived I had no idea. Let’s go we’ll eat at a restaurant."
Luka pulled Eden’s hand but he stood in place.
He already knew they were here that’s why he was hesitant to come in. He already dealt with Rune and Storm so his mission is over. He forged the tape where it showed Rune dropping the chandelier and it showed their conversation admitting their plan to entrap Eden. He hypnotized Rune so he would confess, he is the reason why in the original timeline he would’ve been locked in prison if he hadn’t died in that car accident. Plus Eden ruined his reputation even when he’s free he won’t find a job in the entertainment business. Storm will spend the rest of his life in that facility unable to move. He knows him by heart and he knows that he’ll want to die every day. Once he suffers enough he’ll make sure he dies painfully. When it comes to his parents he is confused.
He was planning on taking everything back from them and letting them wallow in guilt but he knows that Alaric and Colton already signed everything back to Eden and they plan on giving the papers to him tonight. He knows they feel guilty so his plan worked but he still feels uncomfortable. He knows that he’ll never be in a universe where both his parents are alive and truly loves him but it doesn’t take away all the bad they did to him.
"Let’s go your father invited me and I don’t want to be rude."
Luka looked at him worried.
"Are you sure?"
Eden asked:
"If you were in my place what would you do?"
"Whatever you chose I’ll support you."
Eden looked at him frustrated and said:
"I didn’t ask you if you would support me or not. I asked what would you do in my place."
Luka could tell that Eden was still upset but he said:
"I know that you feel resentment for them but trust me at the end of your life you’ll only resent yourself for not forgiving them and having them in your life. I’m not saying that you should immediately forgive them and act as nothing happened just take things slowly."
Eden looked at him then down for a few seconds. He took a breath and he smiled at Luka. He laced their hands.
"Let’s go."
They went inside and when they entered the dining room Cedro was seated at the head of the table and on his right were Alaric and Colton. Eden and Luka took a seat in front of them. Eden smiled at Cedro.
"Hello, uncle thank you for inviting me to dinner."
Cedro smiled.
"Hello Eden, of course, I’m glad you could make it."
Eden nodded then he looked at his parents. He said expressionlessly:
"Alaric Colton."
Now that they understand why Eden calls them by their name it feels like a punch to the guts.
The only word able to come out of Alaric’s mouth was:
"Hello."
Colton felt his eyes moistening but he blinked back the tears and he said:
"Hello, Eden how are you?"
Eden answered in the same indifferent tone.
"I’m well."
They would’ve felt better if he acted the way he did the last time they ate together that would mean that he has feelings since he is angry. But at this moment it was like Eden was looking at strangers.
Cedro looked at them silently. He invited them over because he wants to help them be a family again. The worst thing to him was to lose his parents and the fact that they weren’t getting along before that only made it more painful. He knows that Eden will eventually regret it if he never forgives them.
Colton bit his lip but he couldn’t stop himself from asking:
"Where are you regarding your treatment?"
Eden met his eyes and said:
"I’m better I was seeing another doctor and forgot to tell Dr.Cheng."
Eden felt a lump in his throat when he saw how relieved and happy his parents were. He looked down in silence.
Eden ate when he was served. Colton looked at Luka and he asked:
"How are you doing?"
He can smell that Luka and Eden are mates now so he wants to get to know him better. Luka smiled.
"I’m well what about you?"
"I’m okay. I heard that you plan on retiring after this show."
"I’m not sure yet but I’ll work more at the agency with my father."
He was always planning on taking over Zephyr Talent. He’ll probably just take projects he’ll feel passionate about and in the country. He doesn’t want to be away from Eden.
Eden looked at him and asked:
"What kind of project would you be working on?"
Luka looked at him.
"How about projects where we can work together?"
"Is that what you want?"
"I don’t mind as long as you want that."
Eden put down his chopsticks in anger. Because of the sound, everyone looked at him. Eden asked frustrated:
"Why do you always do that?"
Luka asked confused:
"Do what?"
"Always go along with what I want. You said that you would do anything for me and I would too in a heartbeat. But I wouldn’t do something I don’t want to do or something that would go against who I am."

Now that they are mates he can feel his emotions and he could tell since their shower this morning that he is upset. He was giving him time to open up.
Eden said:
"I don’t want you to go along with something just because you love me."
Luka asked again:

Everyone looked at Eden stunned. Luka asked shocked:
"You’re pregnant?"
"I am. I don’t want you to say that you want a baby just because I want one. I don’t one my son to feel like the only reason you’re in his life is because of me. I genuinely want you to be happy because you’re having a son not because I am happy."
Luka finally understood why Eden was upset all day. He understands since he has the worst reputation. He pulled his chair closer and he caressed his cheek.
"Baby I always wanted a mate and a baby the reason why I never settled is that I hadn’t found my soulmate yet."
Eden looked at him his eyes moistening.
"You have no idea how happy I am I’m having a baby with my soulmate. I love you."
Eden said teary-eyed:

He leaned in hugging him tightly. He believes Gege, he’s been with him for so long so he knows when he is lying to him. He isn’t afraid of having a baby he was worried that Luka would only be happy because he loves him.
He doesn’t want his son to have a father who doesn’t truly want him. He’s always wanted a baby he just never met his soulmate before transmigrating and turns out Luka felt the same. This morning when he said he’ll do anything for him it upset him because he wasn’t sure if it would be the same with the baby. This is only more proof that they are meant to be. Eden smiled, he knew from their conversation at breakfast that Cedro couldn’t wait to have a grandchild. That’s the first question he asked. He unconsciously looked at his parents. Colton was crying silently with a sad smile on his face and Alaric looked just as sad. The thought of not being in their son’s life was already heartbreaking but adding their grandchild in it only made it worst. Colton quickly wiped his tears and he said with a smile:
"Congratulation."
Eden nodded.
"Congratulation I’m happy for you."
Eden nodded at Alaric.
The rest of dinner went in silence and they all left for the living room. Cedro stoop up and he said to Luka:
"Help me get the tea."
Luka nodded and he left with him. Eden looked at them with an amused smile. This is ridiculously obvious. He looked down in silence. Colton looked at his son sitting in front of him. He swallowed and said:
"Eden we know the truth."
Eden looked up.
"What truth?"
Alaric said:
"We know that everything Storm said was lies and that you’ve been sick all along."
Eden looked at them silently with a smile. Colton said with tears:
"I can’t tell you how sorry I am Eden. I know I screwed up and I’ll never forgive myself."
"We’re both sorry. We know that this is all our fault for believing Storm and not talking to you. We’ll do everything for you to forgive us. First, we’ll start by giving back everything you gave us."
Alaric pulled out three papers and put them on the table.
Eden took them and read them. It was the deed of the house, Rgency and it said that they would reimburse everything that Eden gave them over the years. It was all signed and notarized. Eden said as he ripped the papers:
"Do you know what upset me more than you both having no faith in me? It is that you thought that I was trying to buy you so I can act as I please."
They both swallowed with difficulty. Tears fell on Colton’s face and he bit his lip. Eden couldn’t stop himself from chuckling at that. Alaric asked:
"What is it?"
Eden’s laugh was real so they felt curious. Eden said:
"I bite my lip too when I’m worried."
This is the first time that he can see a resemblance between him and his parents. His father has the same personality as him and his mother bites his lip when he is worried too. It might seem normal to other people but not to Eden. Every single time his parents would be the opposite of him and most importantly they would be terrible people who hate him. Colton smiled his eyes softening. Eden looked at him a few seconds then away.
"I don’t need the house, Rgency, or the money I gave you. Despite what you thought I never wanted anything in return, not even your love."
Colton and Alaric felt like they had been slapped. Colton was biting his lips so tightly that it was bleeding and Alaric was teary-eyed.
Eden looked at them and said:
"I knew you felt nothing for me the moment you were willing to pull the plug on me."
Eden looked down his hands tightened into fists. Not only were they willing but for the most despicable person in the universe. Colton walked to Eden and he knelt in front of him. He lifted his head and he felt his heart clench in pain when he saw that he was crying. He held his face and he swore:
"We’re so sorry Eden, I know that an apology isn’t enough but I swear we’ll spend the rest of our life earning your trust and love."
Colton reached out wiping Eden’s tears.
Alaric stood up and he knelt in front of Eden too.
"Please give us a chance to be in your life again. No matter how long we have to wait we will. Please I’m begging you don’t shut us out, give us one last chance."
Eden looked at them for a few seconds then down. When he thinks about getting married and having a baby of course he would want his parents to be there. His two previous marriages they weren’t there and even if he is used to it he still felt this hole. For once they are both alive and love him. He feels the same or he wouldn’t be this upset. He looked up and said:
"I’m not a forgiving person if you do anything to hurt me ever again I’ll be done with you both."
They both let out a relieved breath and they pulled Eden in their arms, they were holding him tightly as if they were scared he would run away. Eden’s hands were awkwardly at the sides of his body. He felt unsure and a little uncomfortable. After a few seconds, he hugged them back. They pulled back looking at Eden’s flushed face with a smile. Alaric caressed his red cheek his eyes full of love and Eden looked away. They couldn’t stop themself from chuckling. Cedro and Luka at the door smiled at that scene.
Eden spent the rest of his life with Luka. They got married two months after the release of High Priest. It was a huge hit and they both became household names. Eden invited Arsen, Cael, Cillian his mate, and his parents to the wedding. Alaric walked him down the aisle.
