When Yawen saw Zidong running toward Yuning he ran to him but before he could reach him Atlas was holding Zidong by the neck.
Zidong tried to get out of Atlas’s hold but couldn’t. He looked at him startled, how is it possible he is an original a human can’t stop him.
Everyone looked at Atas astonished. Zidong eyes darkened and he said:
"You dare get in the way when just a few days go you colluded with us to kill Tan."
Yawen looked at Atlas stunned, so he’s been acting since the beginning he hates Tan as much as he does. It made him feel better to hear that. He hates how that brat opened his arms to Atlas but rejected him.
He looked at Tan but he was just sitting on the throne next to Yuning’s. He didn’t seem hurt by what Zidong said. He looked at Yuning and saw that he did not react either.
Atlas rolled his eyes at a response and Zidong looked behind him at Yuning. He smiled sadistically.
"Brother and I already poisoned him he’ll die in the night."
Yawen looked at Yuning and Tan but they still did not react. What is going on why aren’t they worried? Atlas said:
"He won’t die I gave him something to counterattack the poison."
Chen looked at him wide-eyed and yelled:
"Atlas you’re the one who told us to deal with Tan sooner."
"I did because I wasn’t sure I would be here to protect him after the offering. I was never going to let you do anything to him don’t you understand that?"
Chen and Zidong looked at Atlas furiously. They can’t believe they’ve been so blind to actually think Atlas felt the same as them. Zidong howled:
"How could y-y-you..."
When Zidong started to stutter Atlas knew that the drug was now taking over their body. He tossed his body on the ground with disdain. Chen tried to speak but couldn’t.
Zidong was struggling just as much as them. They were so stunned and confused that the guards took them to the prison. Atlas went to sit on Yuning’s lap and looked at Yawen who had walked up the stairs of the throne.
He asked with disdain:
"Who told you to walk up the stairs?"
Yawen who had been looking at the twins being dragged away looked at Atlas and his eyes flashed in anger. Xinzhi stood up and walked to the throne. He asked:
"Atlas may I please speak to you in private?"
If he takes him away Yawen will be able to do what he has to. Atlas kissed Yuning and said:

He stood up and walked to the garden with Xinzhi. Once they were far from earshot he asked:
"How are you?"
Atlas asked:
"Do you care?"
"Of course I do Atlas. I’ll always care about you."
No matter what he has to say he will so Atlas can drink what he has. Now he knows that he is in love with Yuning so it means that what Atlas felt for him wasn’t real.
He was crying when he told him that he was the offering yet he moved on so easily with Yuning. He can’t believe he ever had feelings for someone as disgusting as him.
He is repulsed by him and the only way he’ll feel better is if he dies. Atlas said with a smile:
"I’m very well. I’m finally with someone who loves me as much as I love him and we’ll spend eternity together."
XInzhi’s hands tightened into a fist. He’ll never let that happen. He pulled out a vial from his pocket and gave it to Atlas.
When Atlas took it and looked at him inquisitively he smiled gently.
"I knew that you and the emperor were together so I made you this so you’ll always be safe at the palace."
When he saw the smile on Atlas’ face he forced himself not to laugh at how naive he is. As if he’ll let him have a happy ending.
Yawen was right all along about what kind of person he is but he cared for him so much that he believe he was this sweet and caring person when he is just a manipulator and a user.
Atlas just wanted him to get him out of the laboratory. Today they’ll be square since Atlas won’t have a tomorrow.
Yawen walked closer to the emperor and knelt in front of him. He asked:
"Your majesty I just wanted to know why you canceled the offering."
The room couldn’t understand why Yawen would ask that after what just happened. Yuning asked:
"Do I owe you an explanation?"
"Of course not your majesty I was just curious."
Yawen looked up when Yuning said:
"The curiosity killed the cat."
Yawen stood up but he lost balance and fell on the emperor. Yuning frowned when he felt something sharp prickle him.
Yawen immediately stood up and knelt again with his head down.
"I’m so sorry your majesty please forgive me."
He looked into Yuning’s eyes and couldn’t see the coldness and disdain he saw before. His heartbeat quickened in excitement. Yuning’s feelings are changing.
Yuning said in a warm voice:
"Stand."
He stood up and when he saw the dazzling smile on Yuning’s face he knew that it worked.
Yuning said:
"I have to tell you something."
"Shouldn’t we wait for Atlas?"
Even if he’s going to die tonight he wants him to see that the person he loves doesn’t love him back anymore. Yuning looked at his attendant and he left for the garden.
Yawen smiled at Yuning and he smiled back. He looked at Atlas entering, he took a seat on the throne next to Yuning’s and pulled Tan on his lap.
He asked:
"Where’s Xinzhi?"
"Garden."
Yawen nodded then looked at Yuning and asked with a smile:
"Your majesty, you wanted to say something?"
Yuning said with an affectionate smile:
"From today onward the Yu family will no longer rule the humans the Lan will."
Yawen’s smile faded and he looked at Yuning wide-eyed.
