Yawen knocked on the door and came in when he heard Yuning’s voice. He smiled at him. Yuning was writing and said:

Yawen took a seat. He looked at Yuning as he wrote slightly nervous. Those past two days he’s been trying to get in touch with him but couldn’t.
He knows he shouldn’t feel nervous when he set a date to announce their relationship but he does.
Yuning asked his head still on the papers:
"Is everything ready for the ball?"
"It is."
Yuning looked up and put his pen down.
"We need to talk."
Yawen asked with a gentle smile despite his anxiousness:
"Of course."
Yuning looked at this smile he used to believe was the most lovely and felt nothing.
He said:
"I believe it would be best for us not to go further and keep our relationship professional."
Yawen’s smile faded and his heartbeat quickened. He asked calmly:
"What made you change your mind?"
"I don’t have feelings for you anymore."
Yawen nodded and looked down. He blinked back tears then looked up. He said with a smile:
"I should let his majesty go back to work."
Yuning had already moved on. He was writing already, Yawen felt his heart clench seeing how utterly free from any type of emotions he was. The way he ended things was like he ended a business deal.
He stood up and left. When the doors of the elevator closed tears ran down his face. How is it possible that during the two days he hasn’t seen him Yuning has changed his mind?
When he reached the ground he wiped his tears and almost hit the twins. Chen and Zidong smiled and said at the same time:
"Yawen."
Yawen looked around and asked:
"Can we talk privately in my car please?"
The twins nodded and followed him. Once he sent the driver away Yawen asked them:
"Has something happened with his majesty?"
The twins looked at each other and they seemed to have an unspoken conversation. Zidong looked at Yawen and said:
"Atlas has been sick. He fainted and only woke up two days later."
Yawen asked:
"Is he okay now?"
Chen nodded and said:
"He is with Tan."
Yawen felt disappointed, he thought his problem fixed himself but it seems like Xinzhi will have to take care of him with whatever he came up with.
He’s been working in his lab since the night Atlas insulted them and he said he has a plan. He’ll ask him what it is today. Yawen frowned then asked:
"What does Atlas being sick have to do with his majesty?"
Zidong said angrily:
"Ever since he’s been sick everyone has been forbidden to go to the third floor and only the physician, Tan, and a few servants were allowed. Just before that brother told us to stay away from Atlas and it’s only today that we found out why."
Yawen felt a bad presentiment and asked:
"Why?"
Chen sneered:
"Turns out brother like Atlas and wants to keep him for himself. The entire time he was sick he stayed at Atlas’ side and slept next to him. He even worked in his room because he didn’t want him to be alone. Atlas woke up yesterday night yet he still slept at his side. He’s a hypocrite and a liar."
Yawen’s heartbeat was out of control and he looked down furiously. So it wasn’t enough that Atlas stole his mother and brother’s attention and love now he’s done it with Yuning too.
How is he supposed to turn into a vampire without him? He looked at the twins thoughtfully and asked:
"Why would you want to have Atlas when you can have me?"
Since Yuning betrayed him then he’ll work with the twins to take what he cares most about Tan.
He worked too hard not to become a vampire and rule everyone. Yuning can’t be controlled but the twins can so he needs to deal with them all so they can take the throne and he can sit at their side.
He knows how stupid they are so it should be relatively easy. The twins looked at Yawen stunned. They’ve always seen him as this goody two shoes so they never thought they could corrupt or take him away from their brother.
Looks like Yuning liking someone else was all it took for him to consider them. Zidong pulled him closer and asked:

Yawen wrapped his arms around his neck and said:
"I want to be a vampire and sit at your side at the empress once we deal with Yuning."
Chen frowned. Even if they do want the throne Yuning is too strong to be taken down even with the two of them. He said:
"Yuning is the strongest original."
Yawen smiled maliciously.
"That’s not an issue I have a poison that will burn his essence in a matter of days."
The twins’ eyes lit up. Zidong said looking at Chen:
"If we have it we can make him drink it during the ball after we propose a toast that way we would have dealt with Tan and Yuning on the same night."
Chen thought then looked at Yawen.
"Are you sure this will work?"
"It will I swear."
Chen nodded.
"Bring it to us and we’ll make sure he ingests it the night of the ball."
Yawen nodded with a malicious smile.
He is grateful that his mother experimented on vampires for so long because now he has exactly what he needs to rule the world. Yuning brought this on himself for betraying him.
When he thinks of the fact that he stayed at Atlas’ side the whole time he was sick he feels heartache.
Yuning has never shown much affection to him but he believed he loved him. He just thought that it was who he was since he is an original but now he knows that he just didn’t love him as much as he thought he did.
Zidong said with dark eyes:
"Let’s go to your house so you can show us how much you want to be an empress."
Yawen smiled, he called his driver and they left.
