Chapter 129: Mafia / 1.15 : Cleansing fire
Atlas looked up from his cellular impatiently. He was sitting behind a table in a huge warehouse between his underboss and advisor. They were more than three hundred chairs, and a quarter of them was empty. He looked at the entry, there was two alpha checking the people coming in and putting a sticker on their wrist. Atlas looked at his cellular again, those people are way too used to doing what they want the fact that they dared to show up late is proof of it.
Atlas’ advisor said:
"Leader some of them are taking the sticker off as soon as they are sitting."
"It’s fine."
Once everyone was there and seated at their assigned seats they looked at Atlas. For more than five minutes the warehouse was silent as Atlas used his cellular not caring that they were waiting for him.
Zheng frowned, he doesn’t understand what is going on but he was already pissed at Atlas and now he dares to make him wait. He was shocked when Kuang told him he wasn’t the underboss anymore and that he and A-Xuan were relegated to group leaders. Who does that spoiled brat think he is? He knows Kuang’s plan but he doesn’t know if he’ll be able to wait until he marries and they get the clan.
At least he knows that Han will make his life a nightmare on daily basis. How stupid is he to marry him when everyone knows his reputation. He was in the front so he clearly could see that Atlas was too busy playing with his cellular instead of getting to whatever they were doing here. He called annoyed:
"Atlas?"
Atlas looked up and raised an eyebrow.
"What are we doing here we don’t have all day."
Atlas stood up with a smile and stood in front of Zheng. He asked: freēwēbnovel.com
"What did you call me?"
Zheng asked:
"Atlas, isn’t that your name?"
"Am I not your clan leader?"
Zheng couldn’t stop himself from laughing and a few other people followed suit. Atlas took a few steps back and tapped on his cellular.
As soon as he did all the people who were laughing exploded. The people who were in the splash zone wanted to run away but their entire body was frozen. They could only move their head. Altas looked at Zheng who was covered in his two friends’ guts and asked:
"Something funny Zheng?"
Zheng’s face was covered in blood and his friend’s ear and guts were currently on his lap. He was breathing loudly in shock but he was still alert enough to shake his head and say:
"No clan leader."
Atlas smiled.
"Good"
Atlas walked with his hands behind his back and said:
"Do you think it’s right to bite the hand that fed you? My grandfather has been more than generous to every one of you yet you feel no scruple betraying him for someone who isn’t even a Yao."
He stopped and looked at them. They were all petrified that they would be next.
"If you haven’t done anything to betray my grandfather you’ll be able to stand up and leave but if you’re still immobilized that means you’ll die a terrible death."
No one dared to check, they felt too scared to know if they’ll live or die. Atlas said:
"If you’ve been loyal you have nothing to worry about."
A beta who knew he’s been loyal stood up and everyone looked at him. The beta looked at Atlas and he looked back. Atlas said:
"Thank you for your loyalty it will be greatly rewarded."
The beta nodded and left. As he reached the door he checked his cellular and looked at Atlas stunned.
"Thank you, clan leader."
Atlas smiled and he left. Others started to follow his lead and every time they would reach the door they would thank Atlas for his generosity.
In the end, there were thirty people left. After checking Atlas found around fifty traitors, and most of them had high titles. Kuang believed that it would be the best way to gain a foot on the clan. Atlas looked at his underboss and advisor and they left with him through the other door so the traitors would see them leave.
They looked in fear as a few men doused the entire warehouse and them with accelerant. When Atlas reached the door Zheng who was the only one who dared to say anything begged:
"Please clan leader forgive us."
Atlas walked to him and pulled out a lighter. He pushed the button and looked at the flame with a vicious smile.
"I will once you burn for your sins."
Atlas lit his hair on fire not wanting to touch him and left with a smile as the fire spread and they screamed in agony.
Kuang was sitting behind his desk in his home office using his computer until he suddenly closed it in rage. A-Xuan looked at his father and said:
"There are only twenty minutes left then we’ll be done. You know full well what he is trying to do don’t let him get to you."
Atlas told them to stay home today and to pass a series of tests to make sure they are good enough to be group leaders. When they refused he said then he’ll have to keep running the clan and not marry so they had to do it.
Kuang sighed and opened his computer. When he was done he closed it again and leaned back on his chair.
"I swear to god as soon as Atlas gives us everything I’ll kill him. I was planning to let him live his life with Han but now that he’s trying to humiliate us he’ll die by my hands."
A-Xuan smiled ruthlessly.
"Because of him, I had to postpone my wedding so I want in."
Kuang felt heartbroken when his darling son told him about his conversation with Yixin. The only reason they’re both taking it okay is that they know that the reason Yixin doesn’t want to marry anymore is that he hates Atlas for everything he’s done to A-Xuan in the past. Kuang said:
"Don’t worry I’ll have him tied in the basement and let him do whatever you please to him."
A-Xuan eyes lit up, as he thought at the idea of inviting a few alphas to have his way with him his eyes flashed ruthlessly. He’s pretty sure that Atlas will like it seeing how big of a slut he is so he better look for alphas who are hardcore. He should ask Han since he is pretty much the same. He pulled out his cellular and called him. Knowing Han he’ll have enough ideas to make Atlas want to kill himself less than an hour in. He can’t wait.
