When it was time for lunch Eden walked out of the class with Jacob. He had an arm around his shoulder and they were talking. He could feel Klay’s and Arya’s annoyance which only made him happier. Plus he likes Jacob so Gege should be happy he is bonding with his best friend. Jacob stopped in the middle of his sentence when a man asked him:
"Jacob, why are you touching that hybrid freak?"
Eden raised an eyebrow. Seriously there’s still someone at this school who doesn’t know what he is capable of?
Jacob narrowed his eyes and took a step forward but Eden looked at him and he stood back. He stood in front of the man and said:
"I’m not a patient person but if you apologize I’ll let it go."

"I don’t even comprehend why you’re in this school. Everyone knows that hybrid can’t think. I don’t understand how your father a dragon from the old country could leave you one of the biggest companies in the world."
Hearing that Arya felt so happy and couldn’t stop herself from smiling. Eden has ruined her life so it’s about time someone tells him the truth. Since yesterday no one dares to bully him anymore when she worked hard to turn his experience at the university into a living hell. Not only did he humiliate her yesterday but he lied about his mother and uncle’s situation. She’s sure he is lying he must know that everyone wants her to inherit the company and she will.
Eden’s eyes turned red and two cute rabbit ears appeared but unlike yesterday they weren’t white they were black. His tail which was green yesterday was black as well and Klay was stunned. He and Jacob were the only ones to know that this is a sign of an increase of a considerable amount of power. Eden took a step forward and sniffed the air. He smiled maliciously, he loves it when things work out so perfectly. He took a step back and spite fire, everyone immediately retreated out of the danger zone.
Eden’s stream was incredibly powerful and they were all stunned. He continued to breathe fire until he was tired of hearing him scream. He looked at the man who was on the ground his entire skin burnt and knelt in front of him.
"If you or anyone mentions my father I won’t stop until you die. You’re lucky your spa is a lizard but then again you might be able to shed your skin and grow a new tail but the same can’t be said about your head. Have I made myself clear?"
The man whose burnt body ached all over immediately whispered:
"Yes."
Eden smiled and stood up.
"Good."
Eden turned around and left. Klay held his wrist and asked:
"Where are you going?"

"Cafeteria I’m hungry."
Klay smiled.
"Oh okay let’s go."
He laced his hand with Eden’s and they left. Everyone was in shock, the hybrid freak just burned someone to a crisp yet he is still in the mood to eat. Arya woke up from her shock and started to feel fear. She never thought Eden was this powerful and now he seems ready to fight back. She looked at the camera and smiled maliciously.
Everyone in the country knows what Eden looks like she just has to get the tape of him harming a fellow student and then sent it anonymously to any media company. They’ll all see that the reason he is crazy is that he is a hybrid. She left feeling better.
Alessa who was in his office working looked up when someone knocked.
"Come in."
A man came in and closed the door behind him. Alessa stood up and asked:
"Hey, Jace. What are you doing here?"
Jace said seriously:
"We need to talk."
Alessa nodded and said:
"Have a seat."
Jace sat down and said:
"Yesterday we received an anonymous tip saying that someone heard a man screaming before something or someone fell off the bridge and into the Pint river. We had it searched and found the body of a man called Destry. We then checked the security footage from the camera on the bridge and we could see Eden your nephew with him."
Jace showed him a picture and Alessa looked at Jace stunned.
"I’ve met him before Eden often brings him home."
Jace asked:
"Really in the footage, he says that he believes he is Res’ spirit and that he’s been following him."
When Alessa’s eyes moistened Jace immediately pulled his chair close to her and hugged her.
"What’s wrong?"
Alessa sobbed:
"Eden has been losing his mind since he’s been at home. He and that man Destry were friends but sometimes Eden would just flip out and say that he is my dead brother’s spirit and that he should kill him. I begged Destry to keep his distance but he wanted to help Eden get better. I knew that he would never be able to get better since he is a hybrid but even after I told Destry he didn’t want to give up. One night Eden came back home and told me that he wasn’t seeing his father’s ghost anymore now that he killed him and that he’ll do the same to anyone who annoys him. I was scared he was going to hurt me or Arya if I said anything. And now he lives alone and I worry about what he does every night."
Alessa burst out crying and Jace comforted her.
He’s known Alessa since high school and he’s never seen her like that. He pulled back and said:
"Alessa you did what your brother told you to do but you can’t protect him if he’s lost his mind. He has to be put in a place where people can look after him especially now that he killed Destry. Who is it going to be next? I know that Res would’ve been proud of you for taking care of him as much as you did."
Alessa wiped her tears and said:
"I know you’re right he has to be put somewhere he can be helped."
Jace promised:
"He will be I swear."
Alessa nodded with difficulty.
"Tell me where he is so I can arrest him before he does something drastic."
"He is at school right now."
They both looked at the door when someone entered. Bastian saw that Alessa was crying and asked:
"What’s going on?"
Jace stood up and said:
"I’ll let Alessa explain to you I have to go now."
Alessa said:
"Please be careful he is dangerous and powerful."
"Don’t worry I’ll bring back up."
Alessa nodded and Jace left. When he was gone Alessa explained everything to Bastian who was over the moon. He said:
"We need to call the press to make sure it’s televised and seen everywhere."
They both called every journalist and tv station they knew on the way to the university. Of course, they won’t miss the chance to see Eden getting arrested.
Eden was sitting on the edge of the highest building at the university, his feet were dangling in the air. He looked down at all the students, reporters, and police officers. Most of the people had their cellphone in their hands to film him. Jace grabbed the microphone and said:
"Eden my name is Jace and I’m here to help you. Move away from the edge and come down so we can talk. You don’t have to do this I won’t be able to help you unless you come down safely."
He looked into Eden’s hesitant eyes and he relaxed slightly when Eden stood up. But everyone gasped when Eden jumped. Once he was close to the ground his enormous dark and gold wings appeared and he flew above the crowd. Everyone was shocked, they could feel the considerable amount of strength coming out of his spirit animal. Eden landed in front of Jace and sneered:
"Why would I want the help of someone racist?"
Jace frowned.
"I’m not racist."
"Really? Just because I’m a hybrid you immediately believed that just because I was up there I was planning to kill myself. Like a hybrid has no reason to live. You’re just like everybody else. You work for the police, you’re supposed to protect me not judge me."
Jace didn’t respond, they are surrounded by reporters and students it’s not the place to have this kind of conversation. He pulled out handcuffs and said:
"You’ve been named a person of interest in the murder investigation of Destry Dain. Let’s go to the police station so we can talk."
Jace was about to put the handcuffs on Eden but he took a step back.
"I’m not wearing the handcuffs."
Jace sighed and said:
"Don’t make things difficult."
Before Eden could say anything Jacob stood before Eden and said:
"I’m going to make things difficult you’re not handcuffing him."
Jace looked at him confused just like everyone else. They all know who Jacob Penn is his father owns the most successful lawyer office.
Jace warned:
"Stay out of it."
Jacob crossed his arms and asked:
"He’s only been named a person of interest right?"
Jace nodded.
"When you told him to come down he did without resisting right?"
Jace nodded again.
"He isn’t being arrested for murder and he isn’t resisting so you’re not putting handcuffs on him."
