Chapter 1674: Tale of a Dead Child (2)
Kent may have judged Sanders too early.
From what happened and the mindset he was in when he ventured into the Underworld, killing the Thirteen Underworld Kings and Queens was justified.
Per what he wanted and how he was recieved, it was perfectly in his right to do what he did.
He went there with a reasonable request. He only wanted a single bone from the Abyssal Chaos Prince skeleton. However, the Thirteen Kings and Queens decided to ride their high horses and threatened him, saying he had to leave or they would kill him.
Sanders did not get angry. He offered something very valuable, something that all the Underworld Kings and Queens wanted. However, they tried to snatch it from him, using their authority over the Underworld to suppress him.
Sanders then snapped, and by the time he calmed down, they were already dead.
"I tried to warn you losers, but you wouldn’t listen. Now I have offended the Underworld Empress and her minions."
The moment the rulers died, he knew he could not stay in the Underworld anymore, so he grabbed the entire skeleton of the Abyssal Prince and left.
After leaving, Sanders returned to the Undead Realm, where he spent ten years creating the perfect warrior he deemed capable of leading him and his legion into the Chaos Abyss, one of the most dangerous realms in the Void.
The day he finished creating the undead that he named Prince Anvil, Sanders wasted no time and left for the Abyssal Realm.
He knew the person he was going to face was not someone he could afford to offend. The Abyssal Monarch was a legendary figure. They said he was someone who came into existence when the Void was transformed into the universe.
His power was unfathomable, and his rule over the Abyss was absolute.
So Sanders went into what he believed would be a losing battle.
However, to his shock, when he reached the Abyssal Realm and requested an audience with the Abyssal Monarch, it was granted.
"We finally meet, Bone King," a man with flowing white hair seated upon a throne spoke, his voice laced with mockery.
Sanders felt the teasing in his words, but he maintained his composure and responded, "Likewise, Abyssal Monarch."
"Oh, don’t be silly. You can just call me Sir Madok, and I will call you Sanders."
"I don’t mind," Sanders replied to the suggestion, and Sir Madok laughed.
"Better."
His gaze lingered on Sanders for a few moments before he spoke again.
"So, the last I heard, you killed three of my people and even threatened to bring the Abyssal Realm and everyone in it to their knees." He grinned and narrowed his eyes at Sanders.
"Tell me, Sanders, do those people you wish to bring to their knees include me as well?"
Sanders smiled weakly and cursed himself for being unruly when he encountered the people from the Abyssal Realm during his time in the Undead Realm.
They were arrogant and uncivilized, so they offended him. In his fury, he killed some of them, wounded others, and arrogantly sent the rest running back to the Abyssal Realm with a warning that he would bring them to their knees one day.
His bluff was being called now, and he had nowhere to hide his face.
"I was just kidding, Sir Madok. I had just learned that my mother and father were imprisoned in the Chaos Abyss, and on top of that, my best friend had been killed, so I wasn’t in the right state of mind when I met your people.
"If I had been in a clearer state of mind, I would have handled things differently."
Of course, he lied, but this lie was what earned him the chance to enter the Chaos Abyss.
As it turned out, the Chaos Abyss was a no-man’s land. It was a place where only the strong ruled.
From what he later learned from Sir Madok, the Chaos Abyss was one of the many places in the Void where only danger resided.
Sanders learned that for years, the Abyssal Race and the Chaos Race had tried to eradicate the Chaos Abyss but had failed. In the end, they chose to seal it instead.
Later, the Chaos Race attacked the universe, and they lost. This meant that the gateway they were supposed to manage had begun to weaken, and when it finally collapsed, the universe would be attacked by the Chaos Abyss.
After all, many powerful individuals had been imprisoned there, and after years of suffering, they desired nothing but revenge.
When Sir Madok learned that Sanders wished to go there, he merely nodded and opened the gateway for him.
However, he gave him one mission.
Regardless of whether he succeeded or failed, since he could not die, he had to leave the Chaos Abyss through the Chaos Gateway.
Sir Madok handed him a seal capable of permanently sealing that gateway.
Sanders accepted the mission, and so he ventured inside, with Prince Anvil protecting him.
To their shock, the Chaos Abyss was not a forest filled with monsters lurking everywhere. It contained countless continents, each ruled by beings stronger than Celestials.
The first hundred years were spent searching for news of his parents across three continents, but he found nothing.
Eventually, he realized that he could accomplish nothing unless he became stronger.
So he began searching for ways to increase his strength while he continued to search.
However, no matter what he tried, he failed.
Later, he chose a different path.
He decided to leave signals throughout the Chaos Abyss for his parents.
Ten thousand years later, he learned that a couple—one a deadly mage and the other a remarkable archer—lived on a continent several light-years away from where he had received the information.
Sanders wasted no time and set out immediately, hoping to reunite with and rescue his parents. He knew the mage was her mother and the archer was his father, so he wasted no time.
However, after traveling for a hundred years, he encountered a roadblock.
To reach the Unholy Chaos Continent, he had to pass through a formation that only allowed Abyssal Chaos Beings to enter.
This was a barrier he could not cross.
So, with a sigh, he did the only thing he knew he could do.
He sacrificed a portion of his soul and created a pseudo-soul for Prince Anvil. This way, even long after he died, Prince Anvil would continue to live.
"I don’t know how long it will take, Anvil, but I will return. So go and find my parents, and continue to protect them in my stead. One day, I will come back."
"I will not fail you, Emperor," Prince Anvil said, pressing his hand against his chest and bowing deeply.
"I know you won’t, Anvil. Tell my parents I love them and that I am happy, so they shouldn’t worry."
With that, they went their separate ways.
Two hundred years later, Sanders returned to the land of the living.
Later, he learned that Sir Madok had also ventured into the Primal Chaos, and no one had heard from him again.
Five hundred thousand years later, after Sanders had become a Celestial and amassed a powerful undead army, he returned to the Abyssal Realm to see if he could help locate Sir Madok.
However, what greeted him was an attack launched by an alliance formed between the Abyssal Race, the Resentful Race, and the Undead Race.
That battle marked the beginning of Sanders’ greatest wars.
He fought them for a hundred years, and when he finally managed to escape, they invaded the universe instead.
That was the last battle Sanders fought before he, too, vanished from the face of the universe.
The Undead Era witnessed an invasion by three deadly Void races: the Abyssal Race, the Undead Race, and the Resentful Race. freewēbnoveℓ.com
When the danger reached its peak, when the Divine Temple, the Universe Council, and the Soul Temple were overwhelmed to their very foundations, it was the necromancer whom many despised who stepped forward and saved the universe.
