Chapter 2292: Chapter 2293: Massive Misunderstanding (Part 3)

The housekeeper didn’t quite understand how the courier got to know his young master, but he still courteously greeted An Baobei and instructed the servants to quickly serve tea to An Baobei.

An Baobei sat on the sofa in the living room and, seeing Li Junlin disappear at the top of the stairs, smiled and asked the housekeeper, "Uncle, your young master looks familiar to me, and his name sounds familiar too. Is he someone important?"

The housekeeper took the tea from the servant’s hands and placed it in front of An Baobei, answering politely, "Our young master is the president of Li Group, frequently mentioned in the news. Miss An, he seems familiar to you probably because you’ve seen news about him."

Li Group, the largest conglomerate in City A.

An Baobei nodded in understanding, no wonder he looked familiar; but she was still quite surprised. Although she knew ’One Person’ had money, she didn’t expect ’One Person’ had this much money.

As Li Junlin went upstairs and returned to his room, he locked the door behind him. Then, instead of changing clothes, he called Ning Zihan. The call went through, but Ning Zihan didn’t answer.

Li Junlin sent Ning Zihan a text message: "I don’t care if you are in a meeting or busy with anything else, answer my call immediately, your sweetheart is here with me!"

Ning Zihan was having a meeting at the Ning Corporation headquarters. Seeing Li Junlin’s call, he decided not to answer as he was in a meeting. But when he saw Li Junlin’s text message, he was shocked and immediately interrupted the meeting, went back to his office, and called Li Junlin.

"Did she really go to your place?" Ning Zihan asked urgently as soon as he spoke.

Li Junlin immediately mocked, "Thanks to you for using my address."

"I clearly said I didn’t want to meet her in real life."

"But she really came." Pause, Li Junlin laughed: "Do you want me to have her say a few good words to the real ’One Person’?"

Ning Zihan had never lost face in front of his buddy, but this time, he had to plead humbly: "Junlin, I already have a headache, please stop teasing, just continue to help me, okay?"

Li Junlin was satisfied, and no longer spoke sarcastically, but still said with some annoyance: "I can continue to help you but just so we’re clear, if it affects me and Wutong, I’ll sell you out immediately."

"It won’t affect you and Wutong, just treat her politely, indifferent is fine too."

"You’re really planning to like her only online?"

"If I could control my own feelings, I wouldn’t even want to like her online." He was planning to live life alone, never thought about having a girlfriend, getting married, or anything like that.

"Though I understand your psychological shadows, Zihan, as a friend, I still have to tell you, being with a woman you love feels so wonderful, you really should try to let go of those shadows, maybe try dating, getting married or something. If our Wutong hadn’t gone to the army, I would have married her already, instead of being like a resentful husband every day, waiting for her to come back and see me once."

Ning Zihan remained silent. He knew some marriages were truly happy, but he genuinely didn’t believe he would be lucky enough to have a happy marriage. Things were fine as they were.

Not hearing Ning Zihan speak, Li Junlin knew his words were in vain again. He sighed first, then said with some annoyance, "She originally planned to sneak a look at what ’One Person’ looked like, came to my place under the guise of delivering a parcel."
