Chapter 38: Chapter 38: One Shit After Another
The bright moon hung in the sky. Its faint light, like a sheer veil, drifted down to coat the ground in a layer of shimmering, shattered silver.
On the ground, figures moved in pairs, all heading in the same direction.
Zhong Siqi, pulling Zhong Mingrui along, carefully peeked in through the window.
Inside the wooden cabin, a small figure lay alone on the large bed.
Zhong Siqi’s brow furrowed slightly. Just as he was wondering where the guardian was, he spotted a girl sleeping on the floor in a corner.
Any hesitation Zhong Siqi had felt instantly vanished.
’Making your family sleep on the floor, especially after trying to steal Gu Zhao’s cabin—what kind of good person does that?!’
Zhong Mingrui didn’t have his brother’s reservations. He was only thinking about getting revenge on the person who bullied Big King!
He tried to climb through the window. "Bro, quick, help me."
Zhong Mingrui whispered urgently, "Come on, hurry."
Zhong Siqi carefully lifted his younger brother and passed him through, whispering a reminder, "Keep your voice down. Only target the little boy. No collateral damage."
Zhong Mingrui nodded. Holding two bags of poop, he tiptoed to the side of the bed. Looking down at the peacefully sleeping Yu Zimo, he angrily shook his fist.
This scene gave Zhong Siqi a scare; his heart almost leaped out of his throat.
Thankfully, Zhong Mingrui had some restraint. He was just making a gesture. Seeing the boy sleeping so soundly really ticked Zhong Mingrui off.
’If he hadn’t bullied Big King, I wouldn’t have to be out here in the middle of the night!’
Huffing with indignation, Zhong Mingrui poured the poop into the boy’s shoes and sprinkled some under his covers. Only then did he climb back out the window, satisfied.
The parrot on the cabinet opened its eyes, blinked a few times, then closed them again without making a sound.
In his sleep, Yu Zimo, on the bed, furrowed his brow, rolled over, and continued to sleep.
Having done his dirty deed, Zhong Mingrui was unusually energetic, chattering away as he pulled Zhong Siqi along.
A few minutes after they left, two more sneaky figures appeared in front of the small cabin.
One large and one small. The large one tripped on something and almost fell.
Song Yi looked nervously at Song Zhe, his face full of disdain. "Brother, be careful! I knew I shouldn’t have brought you."
Song Zhe didn’t mind his younger brother’s disdain; it wasn’t the first time, anyway. He composed himself, and then the two of them opened their cloth bundle. It was full of alpaca droppings.
Song Yi had a "you-copied-me" look on his face.
Song Zhe thought his brother had copied *him*.
No matter who copied whom, the poop still needed to be flung. The two of them weren’t as bold as the previous pair and didn’t go inside.
They sprinkled it all over the doorway.
The two were very satisfied with their achievement and left, gratified...
The parrot inside the room opened its eyes again, flew out the window, and went to sleep on the roof.
’Too noisy.’
Before one wave had settled, another rose.
Then, Gu Xulin arrived with the gorilla.
[Is this a nesting doll situation? Hahahaha, this is my reward for staying up! From Zhong Siqi’s crew to Song Zhe’s, and now Brother Lin. Gu Zhao still hasn’t shown up yet.]
[Hahahaha, I can’t wait for the moment they all find out.]
[Isn’t this a bit too much? Kids have very low immunity, isn’t it bad to mess around like this?]
[Yeah, it’s bad, so what? Why didn’t you think it was bad when Yu Zimo was using his dad to threaten people? I have no sympathy for the person who was a jerk first.]
[Don’t try to pull a moral high ground on me. If Gu Zhao and the others were ordinary people, who knows how they would’ve been bullied. Yu Zimo would just tattle to his dad, and he really could get Brother Lin and Zhaozhao blacklisted and the gorilla put down.]
Gu Xulin had no idea that there were netizens up late at night, watching him do bad things and arguing about it.
He was at the window, urging the gorilla on. Without a shred of pity, the gorilla did as Gu Xulin instructed, placing rotten bananas and fruit on the child’s bed.
It even placed a banana right under the child’s butt.
As the gorilla was about to leave, it seemed to think of something, turned back to the bed, found a pen, and drew a turtle on Yu Zimo’s face.
Gu Xulin was stunned by its series of moves.
’No wonder this gorilla gets along with Gu Zhao.’
’Wicked.’
Gu Zhao was the last to arrive.
She didn’t even go in the door. She commanded her army of flying insects, "You can only go near that boy. Bees, no stinging, just buzz around him from a distance to annoy him. Mosquito army, do your best."
The mosquitoes buzzed, creating an unbearable racket.
Gu Zhao’s hands were really itching; she really wanted to swat them, especially the few mosquitoes flying right in front of her.
"’Miss, oh miss, you smell so delicious~ Let me have a little bite, please?~ Just one, I promise it won’t hurt.’ The mosquitoes swirled around Gu Zhao, infatuated."
"’Miss, miss, I’m not that greedy! Can’t you just let me have a little lick?~’"
Gu Zhao: !!!
"No way!" Gu Zhao refused sternly. ’If I get bitten, I’ll be itching like crazy!’
The mosquitoes dejectedly followed the other flying insects inside.
As soon as they entered the room, the little bugs grew excited. "Smells so good! So good!"
The swarm of bugs didn’t even need to identify their target; they flew straight toward the person on the bed, buzzing all around him.
The flies landed on the rotten fruit, blissful.
Gu Zhao peeked through the window. Seeing that they hadn’t gotten the wrong person, she ambled back home.
The parrot watched in silence.
After pondering for a moment, it too flew inside and left a fresh dropping on his head.
"AHHHHHH!" Yu Zimo jolted awake.
He saw a swarm of flying insects around him. His body felt itchy and sticky.
On the verge of a breakdown, he screamed, "Yu Xiaowei!!"
Yu Xiaowei wearily opened her eyes. Before she could even process what was happening, she was hit by a foul smell.
Her brain stalled for a moment. ’Did Yu Zimo poop himself?’
The next second, she also noticed the swarm of insects. "Where did all these bugs come from!"
"Aren’t you going to get rid of them?!" Yu Zimo shouted.
Yu Xiaowei quickly went to help, but when she saw the drawing on his face, she almost couldn’t stop herself from laughing out loud.
Suppressing her laughter, she picked up his blanket to fan away the insects, only to discover large piles of cow dung and rotten fruit on his bed...
And that yellowish thing under his butt...
Yu Xiaowei: ...
Yu Zimo noticed her hesitant gaze and exploded with rage. "Someone set me up! It must be that little bitch! I’m going to have my dad teach them a lesson!!"
Yu Xiaowei’s eyes filled with disgust, but she still had to clean it up.
Their mission complete, the little flying insects flew away.
Yu Xiaowei resignedly began to clean up.
Yu Zimo was utterly miserable. "Yu Xiaowei, I need a bath! I’m filthy! Hurry up!"
Yu Xiaowei: ’Just endure.’
Unable to stand the filthy bed, Yu Zimo went to put on his shoes, only to find something in them as well!
"AHHH!"
’Sweet,’ Yu Xiaowei thought.
...
The pranksters, who hadn’t made it home yet, heard the screams from afar. Each of them thought it was their own doing, and each felt a swell of satisfaction.
When Gu Zhao got home, Gu Xulin had just lain down.
The two of them made eye contact: ...
"Brother, I went to the bathroom."
Gu Xulin stated his excuse directly, "I went to the bathroom."
Their excuses collided.
"So sleepy, so sleepy. Brother, let’s just go to sleep. We have more lying around to do tomorrow." Gu Zhao took off her outer clothes and flopped onto the bed.
Accompanied by the chirping of cicadas and an occasional scream in the distance, Gu Xulin, Gu Zhao, and the others all slept especially soundly.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Ye Zuiyi was once again awakened by the screams. She was about to go numb from it all.
’Who in the world is going crazy in the middle of the night instead of sleeping?!’
