Chapter 721: Chapter 719: Spoiling the Wife Excessively [3rd Update]

Liam said, he felt like crying.

Facing Maya’s camera, Liam tightly covered his face, refusing to let her take a picture. If that photo got out, where would it leave the dignity of the third young master?

Maya saw he wasn’t paying her any attention, so she pouted melodramatically: "Honey, I love you! I love, love you so much!"

Unable to resist Maya’s temptation, Liam quickly took away the large hand covering his face and responded gently: "Honey, I love you too!"

"Hahaha, gotcha!" Maya gloated, and Liam internally wanted to scold her.

Before he could grab her phone to delete the photo, she cuddled a plush toy up to him and said: "Honey, the baby is calling for daddy, you should hug the baby."

"..." Liam’s smile looked uglier than crying, yet he still reached out to accept the plush toy Maya carefully handed over.

"Honey, don’t you like the baby? Why do you look unhappy every time you see the baby?" Maya pouted unhappily.

She clearly knew why Liam wasn’t happy, knew he was embarrassed about the clothes he was wearing, yet she intentionally teased him. Her heart warmed seeing Liam embarrassed.

Liam pinched Maya’s pouting lips, tears falling without crying, quickly begging for mercy: "Maya, let the third brother go, will you? Third brother is really embarrassed. Also, don’t put the photo online, or I’ll lose my authority at the company."

Liam felt he’d been tricked by Maya.

However, Maya feigned surprise and said, "Oops! I just posted it on WeChat Moments."

"You little thing, come here!" Liam immediately pulled Maya into his arms, pinched her chin, and gave her a hard kiss, teaching her a lesson.

Yet Maya continued acting, holding her plush toy: "Honey, stop it! You’re crushing our son; he’s crying now."

Maya patting the plush toy in Liam’s arms, his smile shone brilliantly.

He’s enamored, captivated by Maya’s cuteness, acting along with her, letting her take as many pictures as she wants.

Looking at the motherly love in Maya’s eyes, his heart felt warm, cupping her little face, he kissed her lips. Never was there a moment more blissful than this; he loved Maya being so unreserved around him, loved her boldness.

......

On the following day, New Year’s Eve, seventeen to twenty people crowded into James Bennett’s home to celebrate the festival.

The spacious living room had the sofa filled, everyone coupled up, with wives cozily nestled in their husbands’ arms, torturing the singles.

Maya wore a Little Panda outfit, snuggled in Liam’s arms—absolutely adorable. She also brought the same outfits for Ella, Sophia, Seven, and Noah.

Hudson looked at the charming Maya, then at Liam, utterly smitten with his wife, and shook his head in admiration: "Third brother, you’ve been played by sister-in-law. The photo she posted on WeChat Moments yesterday has already made it to all the major media hot searches today. Looks like this festive season, you’ll be topping the headlines."

Maya listened to Hudson’s report, her gaze sharpened, staring directly at Hudson: "Hudson, only a few of you can see my Moments; you must have leaked the photo!"

"How could that be? I’m not that bored." Hudson didn’t reveal that he didn’t leak the photo, but it was indirectly related to him—his little mischief took his phone, found Maya adorable, and sent it to a schoolmate.

As ten became hundred, their love story got exposed.

However, this was nothing new; Maya and Liam often got snapped while shopping, spending days at the top of hot searches with photos as affectionate as theirs. And this time, Liam drew even more attention—the infamous iceberg showing such a cute side, renewing all onlookers’ belief in love.

Though Hudson denied it, that flicker of guilt in his eyes was caught by Maya.

It being New Year’s, Maya felt good, so she ’generously’ spared Hudson and smiled: "Hudson, forget it, it’s New Year today—I won’t settle accounts with you. When you have a love story, I’ll help you hit the headlines more often."

"Sister-in-law, please! I’m not as lovey-dovey as you guys, third brother’s completely led astray by you." Hudson sounded earnest yet unaware that someday he might be more lovey-dovey than his third brother!

"You little thing, you really hold grudges!" Liam landed a kiss on Maya’s face, unable to express his frustration further. Just as Hudson mentioned, he’s completely wrapped around Maya’s finger.

In the living room, everyone chatted away, bouncing conversations off each other. The girls in cartoon outfits clustered together, snapping photos, happiness was off the scales.

James Bennett watching the kids so joyous felt delighted, contemplating how wonderful things would be if Madelyn were still here, if she could see Maya as a mother.

James took a deep breath, gazed into the fire in the fireplace, seeming to see Madelyn’s face, seeing her constantly beside Maya, protecting her.

At 7 pm, the dining area had a super large table set up for dinner, featuring hotpot—perfectly fitting for a snowy New Year’s Eve.

Ella was enjoying the hot pot when she suddenly felt uncomfortable, her stomach churning, covering her mouth, not wanting to make a fuss and disturb others.

She loved hotpot and was eating happily too; why did she suddenly feel unwell? Perhaps she indulged in too much fruit earlier.

"Ella, here’s some lamb I cooked for you. Want anything else?" Elijah cared diligently.

Ella held her breath, shook her head: "I’m full, don’t want to eat anymore."

The other folks, however, had great appetites, enjoying the meal gleefully.

Seeing Ella’s complexion a bit off, Elijah instantly put down his chopsticks and took her hand: "Ella, are you feeling unwell somewhere?"

"No, I’m not unwell anywhere." Ella denied, yet her brows furrowed.

Sitting beside Elijah, Maya hearing Ella was unwell immediately put down her chopsticks, peered through Elijah to look at Ella, and asked: "Ella, are you feeling unwell anywhere?"

"No, just my stomach feels a bit off." Ella replied, covering her mouth again as if she was going to vomit.

Maya’s eyes widened, surprised she said: "Ella, you might be pregnant."

"Huh?" Ella hadn’t even considered this possibility, never imagined herself showing pregnancy symptoms during New Year.

Elijah got excited, immediately clutching Ella’s hand: "Ella, let’s go to the hospital for a check-up. Are you feeling unwell anywhere else? Or craving anything? I’ll get it for you right away."

Elijah looked at Maya and Seven’s bellies again, then at Ella’s, unable to contain his excitement.

"Assistant Reed, it’s New Year’s today, better not go to the hospital. I’ll have someone buy a pregnancy test, they’re quite accurate. As for diet, ask Maya and Seven, they’re experienced," Mother Bennett suggested.

Spoiler: Seven’s about to give birth! Maya’s about to give birth too!!
