She turned and led a group of security guards, rushing toward the manor’s main gate.
"What’s happening outside?"
"Is Lai Yu Yao’s family that powerful? I thought Qi Shulei’s family was pretty wealthy."
"That just shows how little you know. There are levels to being a rich kid.
Some of them can crush a whole group of the lesser ones with a snap of their fingers.
And it’s obvious Qi Shulei is one of the lesser ones."
"Still, this is just bullying."
"Can’t be helped. That’s just how it is—a dog-eat-dog world. I wish I could be like Lai Yu Yao someday. That’d be the life."
"Stop dreaming. Some people are born with it, and if you aren’t, you’ll likely never get it."
"Enough with the useless chatter. What the hell happened at the main gate? I saw Lai Yu Yao’s face suddenly go sour."
"Let’s all go take a look."
With that,
many of the young guests set aside the recent dispute
and began heading toward the manor’s main gate in groups.
"Let’s go see what the commotion is about."
Chu He led the way toward the manor’s main gate.

The head of security took out a tablet,
handed it to Lai Yu Yao, and played a video on the screen.
"This is surveillance footage from the main gate just now," he said. "It happened to capture the whole thing."
