Chapter 1336: Chapter 1334: Who Are You?
Ye Xin glared at Yang Chen. "Did I say you could like someone else?"
"Uh!" A thin sheen of sweat appeared on Yang Chen’s forehead.
"I just told you to tell me about the past, you’re the one who admitted you liked someone else!" Ye Xin stared at Yang Chen.
Yang Chen said awkwardly, "I was young then..."
"Young and ’promising but didn’t know it,’ is that it? Or were you trying to be ’young and promising but not inferior,’ chase her down and make her your girl?" Ye Xin’s eyes were sharp.
"I..." Yang Chen didn’t know how to answer.
"You said you only like me, right!"
Yang Chen thought about it. He seemed to have never said anything that corny, but right now how would he dare deny it? He hurriedly nodded. "Yeah, I’ll only ever love you!"
"Heh!" Ye Xin gave a cold snort and curled her lip. "Men really are full of lies. Just now you were saying you liked someone else?"
"I really didn’t!" Yang Chen was sweating all over. "I just said I was really young then, first awakening of love, didn’t understand what liking was or wasn’t, I was just really grateful to her, had a good impression!"
"That’s still liking her!" Ye Xin pouted in anger, turned around and ignored Yang Chen.
"Wifey, listen to my explanation." Yang Chen leaned over.
"I’m not listening, not listening!" Ye Xin curled her lip. "Men are all big pig trotters, I don’t believe you!"
"Just hear me out!" Yang Chen reached out to grab Ye Xin.
At this moment, another hand grabbed Yang Chen’s wrist as well.
There were a lot of people here. Yang Chen had felt someone approaching, but he hadn’t expected this person to actually reach out and grab him.
He immediately looked over at the man.
Casual suit, red shirt, greasy powdered face, hair slicked back so shiny it gleamed—obviously one of those "little fresh meat" guys who haunt nightclubs all the time.
"Hey, bro." The guy said, "She doesn’t want to talk to you, so stop making it awkward for yourself."
The moment he opened his mouth, he had that whole Jin Chen vibe.
Yang Chen frowned, staring at him. "Who the hell are you?"
"Doesn’t matter who I am! But in here, we do things civily. You can play around, but trying to force someone? That’s not gonna fly! I was watching from over there just now—she doesn’t want to deal with you, so you’d better show some respect too!" The guy looked down at Yang Chen from above, face full of disdain.
Yang Chen let out a cold laugh.
So this guy was trying to butt into his business.
"Who are you?" Yang Chen asked again.
"I’m nobody! But this, I have to step in!" the man snorted coldly.
"Who are you?" Yang Chen repeated.
The man was a little pissed, but thought about it and decided he needed to keep his gentlemanly image in front of Ye Xin, so he swallowed it down. He reached out to grab Ye Xin. "Come on, let’s go over there. Don’t worry, with me here, he won’t dare do anything to you!"
With Ye Xin’s skills, a guy this hollowed out by wine and women didn’t even need to think about getting close, much less putting his hands on her. But Ye Xin blinked, looking at the man with interest, and then a sly glint flashed in her eyes. She actually didn’t dodge or pull away, and just let the man grab her like that.
Yang Chen instantly shot to his feet. "Let her go!"
The man glanced at Yang Chen, scoffing. "What? You wanna take a swing at me? Do you even know where you are? This is Jin Chen—no one dares throw down in here! If you’ve got the guts, touch me and see. Believe it or not, I’ll make sure you don’t walk out today!"
Yang Chen didn’t say a word; he answered with his actions.
He sidestepped and lunged forward, abruptly lifting his leg.
And kicked the man viciously in the chest!
Thud!
The man was sent flying.
Four or five meters away, where he crashed to the floor, smashing into several tables. The bottles on top clattered down all over, a bunch of them shattering, glass shards scattering across the floor.
"Ah!"
The women screamed shrilly.
The crowd scattered in fright.
The man hadn’t expected Yang Chen to actually hit him. He struggled twice on the ground, couldn’t get up, and instead spat out a mouthful of blood.
The guys who’d come with him all rushed over. "Da Bin, you okay?"
"How dare he start a fight in here!"
"Get people! Call people, quick!"
"Where’s security?"
"Waste him!"
The few of them supported the man while shouting.
Yang Chen just watched coldly.
Ye Xin had already gone back to sit at the bar, sipping her drink and watching the farce.
Had to admit, the response time in this bar was pretty fast.
In no time, a team of burly security guards came rushing over.
Each one was around 1.8–1.9 meters tall, arms thicker than ordinary people’s thighs, wearing tight dress shirts that looked like they were about to burst. They had to weigh at least two hundred pounds.
Just standing there, they exuded a huge sense of intimidation.
On top of that, they were kitted out with radios and rubber batons and other gear, making them look even more imposing.
The security guards quickly surrounded Yang Chen.
Yang Chen’s expression didn’t change at all; his face stayed cold.
Following behind the security was a man in a formal suit and leather shoes, who looked like he was in charge.
"Old Liu!" The injured man spotted him and shouted, "This guy dared hit me in your place! What kind of rules are you running? If you don’t give me a perfect explanation today, I don’t see how you’re gonna keep doing business!"
Old Liu glanced at Kou Youbin lying on the ground and frowned slightly.
He did owe Kou Youbin a bit, but that didn’t mean Kou Youbin could order him around. Whether someone was doing the beating or taking the beating, as long as there was trouble, he didn’t like it. He hated anyone making a scene in his place!
Old Liu ignored him and instead looked at Yang Chen, saying in a deep voice, "Hello, sir. I’m the manager here. You hit someone in our bar—do you have any reason for that?"
"I don’t need a reason to hit him." Yang Chen did things without needing to give anyone an explanation.
Old Liu frowned again, but didn’t lose his temper. He kept asking, "May I ask your surname?"
In a place like Jin Chen, you could toss a brick and hit a bunch of rich second-gens or official brats. He had to be cautious and couldn’t just act rashly.
Yang Chen sneered. "You’re not qualified to know."
Old Liu’s face darkened in rage. "So you’re not even going to give me face?"
"Face?" Yang Chen chuckled, pointing at Kou Youbin. "You cripple his hand, and I’ll give you some face."
Old Liu stared at Yang Chen, his expression turning gloomy.
In the end, Old Liu waved his hand. "Get him!"
Whoosh!
The group of security guards moved instantly, whipping out their rubber batons and charging at Yang Chen.
Yang Chen’s face remained calm. As one of them rushed up, he suddenly grabbed that man’s rubber baton and, with a lift of his leg, kicked the guy flying.
Everyone who saw this scene went wide-eyed.
Too shocking.
Too much of a visual impact.
If it were someone like Kou Youbin, all skinny and weak, getting kicked flying, people would just think some guy was fighting and went a bit hard.
But these were 1.8–1.9-meter-tall security bruisers, weighing two to three hundred pounds each, and one of them got sent flying with a single kick—what did that even mean?
Everyone was completely dumbfounded.
A bunch of people hurried to pull out their phones, ready to record this scene.
If they posted this to their Moments or some forum, it’d be huge news.
However, just as they took out their phones, they suddenly felt a thump at the back of their heads, like someone had hammered them—and then they knew nothing.
