Chapter 561: Chapter Four Hundred and Twenty-One: Death, Always Fearsome

"This silly sister of mine," Chen Ze laughed to himself. His sister had somehow thought to send him a message out of the blue. freewёbnoνel.com

[Great Writer: Happy festival, sister. Remember to check your mooncake, haha~]

Chen Ze smiled again, knowing that he would have to wait until the guests left before he could send out this message.

"Now let me see, what should I prepare for Sebastian and their dishes?" Chen Ze stroked his chin. Although they had ordered their dishes, Chen Ze still needed to consider what to make, and also prepare some hairy crabs for them as well.

"Sebastian, you seem to be glowing lately," Riesel glanced at Sebastian, who recently was behaving almost like a young dragon experiencing spring for the first time.

"Heh... I don’t even want to talk about him. This guy has been scouring the negative planes recently, trying to offer treasures to his goddess," Dragone looked at Sebastian with disdain. He was still the same dragon, but somehow Sebastian managed to be utterly captivated.

"You guys don’t understand. She is my angel~" Sebastian drooled. He had thought his life as a dragon had turned into a joke, but now things took a turn for the better.

"By the way, Betty, that’s Lindsay, right?" Riesel took a glance at Lindsay. He vaguely remembered Betty mentioning a succubus like that.

"Yes, Lord Riesel," Betty nodded, then walked into the kitchen and brought out a cup of Lai Mei, placing it on the table.

"She seems a bit out of it," Dragone picked up a mooncake, which he hadn’t started eating yet.

Dragone put the mooncake into his mouth and gently took a bite.

The rich aroma of meat mixed with a hint of sweetness. The taste was very good, satisfying Dragone who nodded in approval. It was his first time having such a treat.

"Betty, take these out and give some to Lindsay," Chen Ze was very busy, and he also took out his own Eight Treasures Mooncake and placed it on a plate.

Although the Eight Treasures Mooncake was slightly overcooked, the flavor was still quite good, and the System still rated it as perfect without letting the slight burn affect the overall evaluation.

"Of course, boss~" Betty happily walked out, then placed the Eight Treasures Mooncakes in front of each customer.

"Lindsay~ this is the Eight Treasures Mooncake from Mr. Manager," Betty said proudly, a sense of pride inexplicably washing over her.

"Thank you, Betty," Lindsay looked up, smiling as she took the mooncake, then yawned again.

"It’s so delicious!" Lindsay nibbled lightly, her eyes lighting up with surprise. The flavor of the Eight Treasures Mooncake was outstanding, and each bite revealed eight different flavors. Yet, these flavors didn’t clash; rather, they were perfectly blended together, amazing Lindsay.

"It really is delicious!" Dragone agreed with a nod. This Eight Treasures Mooncake was different from the other mooncakes he tried before.

If the previous mooncakes leaned more towards a meaty flavor, then this one was like having many precious dishes all in one bite, completely satisfying.

"I must say, the magical Easterners, their dishes really taste very good," Moriarty wiped his hands. This Eight Treasures Mooncake Betty also gave him some, and it was really delicious.

"Hahaha, right? Hey, young man, would you like to come and join us?" Sebastian was very happy. He felt his only regret was not bringing his significant other to the manager’s restaurant, where the food was so tasty.

Moriarty touched the side of his temple, and although he didn’t look particularly old because he took good care of himself, in fact, Moriarty wasn’t young anymore.

But now, being called a young man...

Moriarty felt a mixture of amusement and disbelief.

However, thinking about it, Moriarty figured that these customers with tails probably weren’t too young, so being called a young man by them... seemed pretty nice, didn’t it?

"There’s no need for that. I prefer being alone," Moriarty smiled and shook his head, then lifted his cup of tea and took a sip.

Indeed, Moriarty was no fool; he was a wise man, just one who knew how to let things go.

Moriarty had certainly thought about getting some methods to increase his lifespan from Chen Ze, especially since the customers here all seemed so special, including some mysterious guests like the lord of Hell, Mephisto.

Immortality! That was what countless people dreamt of. Moriarty, who had been studying Eastern literary references lately, understood this word well; endless life was indeed a blissful thing.

And death was so fearful. Once dead, you lose everything, and all the affairs of the world no longer relate to you. You also cannot continue to enjoy all these things you’ve enjoyed.

If it had been the Moriarty of the past, he certainly would have been scared of death. But the current Moriarty had a much broader perspective; if death was an inevitable end, instead of living in a pitiful fear, it was better to live smilingly.

Riesel glanced at Moriarty, feeling that this human elder seemed to have a slightly different aura; he wondered what had happened.

"Betty, come in and serve the food," Chen Ze clapped his hands. Riesel’s hotpot was ready now, which was a hotpot base made by Chen Ze himself, different from the ones bought at the supermarket.

Sebastian’s barbecue was ready, though many were still on the grill, plus the items that Dragone needed, Chen Ze felt like he was about to start flying with how busy he was.

"Talking about this... I also have no idea when Little Naruto will come? I was planning to wait for him and the Third Hokage to bring me a few Ninjutsu Scrolls," Chen Ze wiped the sweat from his forehead and let out a deep breath.

Having many customers wasn’t scary. What was scary was that these customers were also a bunch of big eaters, which was absolutely suffocating. Chen Ze felt his thoughts were almost in chaos.

"Master-in-law! I’m here... Eh? There are a lot of customers today." Chen Ze touched his mouth, wondering if he had received some sort of strange buff today?

Or was it that these customers all specially picked a good time to come?

"Naruto, your master’s place... really is quite lively..." The voice speaking was not that of the Third Hokage.
