Chapter 220: Chapter 80 Ash: I choose you!
Chen Ze felt that he had made a mistake, he had misjudged his girlfriend’s abilities, for Lafra, putting her heart into enchanting something for her boyfriend was a given.
And the result of putting in too much heart was that when Chen Ze cut down with the knife, a dazzling arc of electricity slashed through the entire kitchen, incidentally giving Chen Ze a perm.
Although he had the protection of the Magic Circle, Chen Ze wasn’t worried about his life, but his hair...
Chen Ze took out his phone and looked at his hairstyle, suddenly feeling that if he just dyed his hair yellow, he could absolutely play a Super Saiyan without anyone batting an eye.
"Manager, what just..." Betty rushed in, joking aside, if something had happened to Chen Ze, she would have been awaiting death at the hands of Lafra.
Then Betty stood there, stunned, staring at Chen Ze with a change in hairstyle, the menu she was holding in her hands falling to the ground.
"Manager... What’s this?" Betty had an expression that wanted to laugh but didn’t dare to laugh.
"I think life is short, so we should enjoy ourselves in time, therefore I changed my hairstyle, quite reasonable, right?" Chen Ze answered without any expression.
Betty swallowed hard, "Right, I think that’s absolutely correct!"
"Why do I always feel like you’re being insincere? Betty, the most important thing as a... ah, not a person, as a Succubus is to be true to yourself, understand?" Chen Ze said concernedly as he patted Betty’s stiff shoulder.
"I understand..." Betty said tearfully as she lowered her head and glanced at the kitchen knife Chen Ze was holding; her clothes were nearly punctured, how could she not understand?
Satisfied, Chen Ze patted Betty’s shoulder again and then continued to cut the pork chop.
"Bilibili..." The dazzling thunderbolts kept flashing, making Ash curious as he looked over the kitchen. Could it be that there were Pokémon here too?
Pikachu watched the kitchen intently, the continuously flashing electric light exciting it, making it want to rush in and unleash a Thunderbolt.
Chen Ze immediately noticed this because the restaurant’s Magic Circle had just detected the agitation of the electric current inside Pikachu.
Chen Ze looked at the pork chop; it had already been cut, and he immediately put down the Thunder Knife.
No joking, getting electrocuted by the Skin God was no laughing matter; even the Legendary Beast could get shocked by it, and Chen Ze wasn’t interested in trying it out.
Then Chen Ze clearly heard the Skin God sigh, which involuntarily made the corner of his mouth twitch. Maybe it was time to ask Ash.
"Did you finish your ’High Voltage Electricity • Specialized High Voltage Handling Procedures’ class? Did you get your certification? Without a license, you dare to mess with ten thousand volts, you fool!"
So you think being a super rookie is amazing? Go back to college and redo your credits!
Of course, these were just Chen Ze’s musings; in reality, in the Pokémon world, things like electricians were trivial to trainers like Ash.
Chen Ze looked at the pork chop, every cut surface containing violent circuits, and thought this must be the dish most suited for Pikachu.
"Let’s have a tomato sauce pork chop rice bowl," Chen Ze nodded, thinking this was a feasible idea.
Soon enough, Chen Ze called Betty in to serve the dishes, and he planned to wash his hair in the kitchen as walking out with a Super Saiyan hairstyle still felt weird.
"What’s this?" Ash asked curiously, looking at the items on the table. Why were there two portions of pork chop rice?
"This portion is for Pikachu, this one is for you, the guest, and this is Magical Mapo Tofu, please enjoy," Betty explained.
Pikachu looked at the pork chop rice in front of it and cheerfully called out; there was tomato sauce on top.
Pikachu picked up the spoon and shoved the pork cutlet and rice into its mouth, only to feel a current of electricity surge from the pork cutlet as it bit down.
"Pika~" Pikachu happily clutched its cheeks.
Seeing Pikachu’s reaction, Ash couldn’t help but smile and then took a bite of the curry pork cutlet rice himself. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
"Delicious!"
Chen Ze stood in the kitchen, touching his hair which he had just washed three times to finally tame his proud locks.
"It seems I have to be more careful with that Thunder Blade in the future. Otherwise, every cooking session turns into a plasma hair treatment, and who can bear that?" Chen Ze placed the kitchen knife cautiously back into the cabinet.
Then he began to ponder what kind of compensation would be better to ask for later. Although Chen Ze could let Ash pay with their currency, it would be of no use to him.
Moreover, since this was the world of Pokémon, if he only took money, Chen Ze feared he would look like a fool.
"Gardevoir... or Torichic?" Chen Ze hesitated, as he was quite fond of these two Pokémon. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
Gardevoir, known as the Psychic Queen, is a very popular Pokémon, and of course, has many fan works.
Torichic, on the other hand, is a starter that Chen Ze always chose in the gemstone series. It’s stylish, has decent power, and looks even cooler after mega evolution.
Chen Ze had no interest in Legendary Beasts. After all, this wasn’t a game where everyone had a Legendary Beast to trade; though Ash encountered many, he never included them in his travel team.
So, expecting Ash to give him a Legendary Beast was out of the question. Chen Ze was clear about that.
But speaking of Legendary Beasts, Chen Ze remembered a famous parody picture online where Magikarp, propping itself on a table, looked at the various Legendary Beasts and uttered the famous line, "I’m not targeting anyone, I’m just saying everyone here is garbage."
"Getting a Magikarp doesn’t sound too bad either, and Ash hasn’t reached Abundant Location yet." Chen Ze stroked his chin, considering that the evolved form of Magikarp, Gyarados, was also quite powerful.
"Time for dinner!" Ash’s voice came from outside, and Chen Ze immediately rushed out.
"Esteemed guest, our restaurant supports payment with ingredients, or an equivalent exchange with treasures. Which would you prefer?" Chen Ze smiled and rubbed his hands together eagerly.
"Eh? Can’t I use money?" Ash looked puzzled at Chen Ze.
"Well, our restaurant..." Chen Ze was about to explain to Ash when he saw the door being pushed open.
Then the bat-like creature walked in. It seemed like the strategy last time was a success, for it had come for another meal.
"Is this... a wild Pokémon? Why isn’t it in the Pokédex?" Trust Ash, his first reaction was getting ready for battle.
The bat-like creature was completely bewildered, "What happened? What’s this yellow mouse?"
"Pikachu!" Without needing Ash’s command, Pikachu automatically used a skill.
"Heh, how tedious, oh..." The disinterested bat-like creature was shocked to find that it was actually losing health?
Although it was just a drop of health, it was still losing health.
"Guest, this is not a Pokémon; it’s another guest." Chen Ze quickly stepped forward, blocking between them.
"This is... a guest?" Ash saw a Necromancer for the first time.
