Chapter 317: Mudhhibb & Bachi Dead

Bang!

Damian’s Wild struck the ocean with tremendous force, sending a towering wall of water into the air. The impact shook the heavens violently as the massive seven-tailed fox construct crashed into the sea, its body breaking apart beneath the pressure of Jugra’s final attack. A giant sword carved from black rock stood above the waves, molten lava flowing through the veins running along its surface. The weapon had pierced through the Wild’s chest and forced the enormous construct downward until the ocean swallowed it completely.

The Wild roared one final time. Its voice shook the battlefield and then its body began fading.

The dark purple energy forming its massive frame scattered into the air, dissolving into countless glowing fragments before disappearing completely. Jugra’s megalithic form stood above the ocean for several moments, staring down at the place where Damian’s construct had vanished. His massive body began shrinking rapidly, the lava veins across his skin dimming as his form returned to normal.

Within seconds, Jugra was once again standing above the ocean in his usual form.

His eyes quickly shifted toward the massive Sand Cube hovering over the battlefield.

The cube had been formed from Mudhhib’s domain, its walls made of endless swirling sand and demonic force. It stood above the ocean like a sealed prison, blocking everyone from seeing what was happening inside. Within someone’s domain, it was impossible for outsiders to know exactly what was taking place. Though breaking into a domain was easier than escaping one, Jugra had no reason to interfere.

If he forced his way inside, Mudhhib would be caught in the aftermath.

"I’ll help Ibaraki-dōji deal with the fox," Jugra muttered as his gaze shifted toward Rin. "Hopefully those two will finish things soon before his wives grow impatient and join the battle."

The original plan had been simple.

Jugra, Mudhhib, and Bachi were meant to fight Damian together while Ibaraki-dōji kept Rin occupied. Damian had disrupted that plan by summoning his Wild and forcing Jugra into a separate battle. Even so, Jugra still believed Mudhhib and Bachi could kill Damian inside the domain if they truly went all out.

At the very least, they would wear him down.

They would weaken him, then they would let him out.

"Which two?"

Damian’s voice was calm.

Yet it rang across the battlefield like a bell inside everyone’s head.

Jugra froze.

Kan froze.

Kor froze.

Hazel, Racheal, Loth, Rah, and every person inside the mansion had been staring anxiously at the Sand Cube for several minutes. Even Rin had been unable to fully focus on Ibaraki-dōji because half of his attention remained fixed on the domain.

They all understood how dangerous it was for a demigod to trap another demigod inside a domain.

That was why the sound of Damian’s voice caused several people inside the mansion to gasp in relief.

The Sand Cube suddenly compressed.

Its massive walls folded inward, shrinking toward the center as though an invisible hand had begun crushing it. The swirling sand became denser. The demonic force within it became unstable. For several seconds, the cube continued collapsing until it was no larger than a small building.

Then it exploded.

BOOOOM!

A deafening eruption shook the world.

The explosion tore through the battlefield, sending violent shockwaves across the ocean and forcing massive waves to rise into the sky. Sand scattered in every direction, turning the air dark as fragments of the shattered domain rained down across the battlefield.

When the chaos finally began to settle, Damian could be seen standing alone above the ocean.

He remained in his Asura form.

His six arms hung calmly at his sides.

The markings across his body moved like living creatures, glowing faintly beneath his dark skin. His horns curved backward from his skull while his ghastly black hair flowed behind him in the wind. His expression was calm, almost bored, as though the destruction of the domain had been nothing more than an inconvenience.

But there was no trace of Bachi or Mudhhib.

The battlefield fell completely silent. Even Rin and Ibaraki-dōji stopped fighting.

The two demigods stared toward Damian with expressions that slowly shifted from confusion to disbelief.

What had happened inside the domain?

How had Damian become a true Asura?

And most importantly, where were Bachi and Mudhhib?

There was no blood.

No broken weapons.

No scattered fragments of demonic force.

Nothing.

It was as though the two demigods had simply ceased to exist.

At that moment, the people watching remembered the reports surrounding Duke Haborym and Bathin.

Both demigods had vanished completely. No traces of their bodies had remained. No remnants of their souls had been discovered. Even their demonic essence had disappeared as though something had consumed them completely.

Thinking about it now, Damian had displayed their powers during this battle. He had used Bathin’s spatial control and even awakened the strength of the Asura bloodline.

Could it be that he had done the same thing to Bachi and Mudhhib?

Could he have taken their powers as well?

"Impossible," Kan muttered.

The old Kosak patriarch could not even entertain the thought.

He had expected Damian to win. But expected a difficult battle. He had never imagined Damian would defeat two demigods inside an enemy domain and erase them so completely that not even a trace remained.

Kor stood beside his father with beads of sweat running down his face. He remembered trying to stop Kan from submitting to Damian.

He had thought the four servants of Lord Gluttony would overwhelm him once they began fighting seriously.

Yet now Damian had somehow defeated Mudhhib and Bachi within their own domain.

"Just how many secrets does he have?" Rah muttered from the roof of the mansion.

Behind her, Hazel, Racheal, and Ruby exchanged knowing smiles before rolling their eyes.

How could they share the secret weapon their former husband had sacrificed himself to create with this bitch?

Still, despite their attempts to remain calm, all three women were barely able to hide their excitement. Their expressions remained composed, but their eyes revealed the pride they felt.

Damian had won again.

"Impossible," Ibaraki-dōji muttered.

Meanwhile, Jugra slowly levitated forward. Disbelief covered his rigid expression.

His eyes searched the battlefield again and again, as though he expected Mudhhib and Bachi to emerge from the ocean, the sand, or the broken remnants of the domain.

"My brothers," Jugra asked in an empty voice. "Where are they?"

There was no anger in his voice.

No shock.

No grief.

Only emptiness.

"Dead," Damian replied without hesitation. "Just like Bathin and Haborym."

The words struck Jugra harder than any attack.

The moment Damian trapped Mudhhib and Bachi within his Fox Domain, the battle had already ended. Inside the illusion, the two demigods believed they were winning. They believed Damian had been weakened. They believed they had finally pushed him to the edge.

They never realized they had been trapped.

The moment the Fox Domain took hold, Damian used his Abyssal power to execute both of them. He stole their power, their essence, and everything they possessed before either demon could resist.

The entire process had taken less than a second.

"No," Jugra muttered as he slowly shook his head. "That is not possible."

The two demigods had options.

If they had been injured, they could have deactivated the domain.

If that failed, they could have relied on their master’s mark to temporarily boost their strength.

If even that failed, they could have prayed to Lord Gluttony. Their master could have sent an astral projection. He could have launched an attack directly.

There were too many possibilities.

Too many ways they should have survived.

Jugra could not imagine a situation where Mudhhib and Bachi had been so helpless that Damian could kill them instantly.
