Chapter 188: Chapter 188: This Lunatic Is Strong

Leng Feng’s voice and movement came at the same time—he stepped in front of Jiang Che, intercepting his fist with one palm.

The gust from the punch reached Jiang Che’s face, the force ruffling his short hair.

Jiang Che didn’t move at all; he just stared at Leng Feng’s back, feeling the cool wind brought by the punch’s strength.

"Are you alright?" Leng Feng looked at Jiang Che with concern, sizing him up. He frowned, because Jiang Che’s expression hadn’t changed a bit.

He didn’t seem to care about what Long Yun had said, or about any of the ridicule from these people.

His expression was earnest, as if he were genuinely asking Long Yun to watch the door for him.

Realizing something odd about Jiang Che, Leng Feng’s frown deepened. He truly couldn’t get a handle on Jiang Che’s mental state.

He used to think Jiang Che’s claim of being mentally ill was just a cover, but seeing him now, the guy looked normal—yet his mind clearly wasn’t like everyone else’s anymore.

He felt a headache coming on. He’d thought it was just that Long Yun wouldn’t listen, but now it seemed Jiang Che was the one you really couldn’t talk sense into.

This guy really didn’t care what anyone said.

Then he turned his head toward Long Yun.

"What? Even I can’t control you now?"

"What humanity needs most now is unity. With your strength, you could start your own dungeon. Why the fuss?" Leng Feng said this for Long Yun, but also for the others.

He looked around, flashing a warning look. Most people’s faces showed a fleeting disappointment when they saw him make a move.

He knew plenty of them wanted to test whether Jiang Che was bluffing, and Jiang Che was a perfect experimental subject.

Whether it was that the malice in these people’s eyes was too obvious, or something else—as soon as Jiang Che locked eyes with them, many looked away in another direction.

Xiong Jie sighed in the back. Jiang Che still lacked social experience.

Everyone here was among the strongest of humanity. Except for Leng Feng, everyone else was roughly at the same power level.

Even though Jiang Che had created a dungeon, in their eyes, he was just a pioneer—he hadn’t gotten that much of a head start.

Now that Jiang Che had given the information to everyone, once they went back, they could immediately claim territory, set up obstacles, and create their own dungeons.

"That wasn’t my intention. I just wanted to test his strength," Long Yun protested, waving his hand, denying any ulterior motive.

"After all, a lot of ordinary people will live in each dungeon. If he can’t protect them, whether it be from evil spirits or a Dark Forest invasion, he can’t just cower if danger comes, right?"

Long Yun opened his mouth, but seeing Leng Feng’s look, he held back what he was about to say next.

"Alright."

Before Leng Feng could react, Jiang Che’s voice came from behind him.

Alright?

Leng Feng was stunned. What did he mean, "alright"?

Jiang Che’s eyes were calm as still water, and Long Yun’s previously upturned lips tightened involuntarily.

Jiang Che stepped around Leng Feng to stand in front of Long Yun, staring straight at him, and likewise raised his fist.

His intention to fight was too obvious—the corner of Long Yun’s mouth quirked up again.

Madness flickered in Long Yun’s eyes. As he raised his fist toward Jiang Che, he shot a look at Leng Feng. "Brother Leng, you can’t blame me for not listening this time."

Before Leng Feng could react, Jiang Che’s plain-looking fist was already colliding with Long Yun’s.

In an instant—

A deafening boom exploded in everyone’s eardrums.

They didn’t know how Jiang Che had gotten to the thirteenth tier and created a dungeon, but every tier granted basic attribute bonuses.

Going head-to-head like this, Jiang Che wouldn’t lose too terribly, but it wouldn’t be easy either.

It was clear—Long Yun was going all out.

Leng Feng had wanted to stop it, but as soon as he moved, he paused again. He needed to manage these two: first get Jiang Che in line, then handle Long Yun.

As long as Jiang Che witnessed the others’ power, he’d be easier to deal with, and would listen more when Leng Feng spoke.

He sighed quietly; he didn’t want things to turn out this way either.

But he couldn’t help feeling that he was no different from anyone else now.

The yard was spotlessly clean, but the blast wave from the fists still kicked up a circle of dust.

Before anyone saw clearly, one person was sent flying and slammed heavily into the wall not far away.

Most of Jiang Che’s dungeon’s structures were shaped by his will, but only the Red Pearl Mental Hospital still retained its original red bricks and concrete.

The damage wasn’t terrible. With the dungeon’s reinforcement, the wall here was much sturdier—whoever it was just got embedded in it, not breaking it altogether.

Leng Feng coughed lightly, quickly turning to look at the wall shrouded in dust.

"Jiang Che, are you alright?"

"Long Yun, that was a bit much. We’re all here for humanity—"

He hadn’t even finished saying "fight" when Jiang Che’s voice came from behind him in the yard, "I’m fine."

Leng Feng turned his head in astonishment, looking toward the now-clearing dust in the yard.

There was a depression in the ground under Jiang Che’s feet, and everyone around had been forced back a few steps by the shockwave.

Jiang Che glanced down at his feet and frowned slightly. The dirt underfoot instantly returned to its original state.

The crowd stared in terror at the wall that looked like it was about to collapse—embedded in it was Long Yun, head lolling, eyes rolling back, completely knocked out.

Hsssss—

The sound of people inhaling sharply echoed around as everyone stared at Jiang Che in horror.

They all knew Long Yun’s power—he wasn’t an ordinary fourteenth tier; he was already mid-fourteenth tier.

Leng Feng looked at Jiang Che. This was the first time he truly looked at him—truly acknowledged his strength.

He glanced around and saw that many people who’d been slouching before had now straightened their backs.

He pulled Long Yun out of the wall with one hand, slapped him on the head, and the unconscious Long Yun instantly woke up.

The first thing Long Yun felt after regaining consciousness was a searing pain all over his body. He looked fearfully at Jiang Che.

During that moment of trading blows, he’d been confronted with endless pressure.

The moment he faced Jiang Che, he felt only weakness—he simply couldn’t fight back.

His subconscious was screaming: this psycho... is strong.

But that was where his subconscious’ warning had ended, because right after, he’d blacked out.

"You... how strong are you..." he swallowed hard and stood behind Leng Feng, bowing his head slightly.

Jiang Che just frowned and looked past him. Following his gaze, Long Yun saw the wall he’d destroyed.

He was boiling with anger inside, clenching his fists—then forced to let it go with a sense of helplessness.

"I’ll find someone to fix it," Long Yun said, but in the end, the only thing that came out was a submissive mumble.

The dungeon was under Jiang Che’s control. With a thought, the wall behind Long Yun was restored.

Only this time, the wall was now the same as the rest—no longer stacks of cement and bricks.

"You’re too weak—not fit to watch the door."
