Chapter 408: A LITTLE COMMOTION

Erika stared at the picture, her eyes widened in shock but if she was surprised? She wasn’t. Felici had been able to escape from the prison before, but she can do so again. But what was bothering Erika was that Felicia had escaped with her face. So people are going to start thinking that she was Felicia. Any blind person.

Jude peaked into the phone Erika was holding in her hand and gasped with her hands covering her mouth.

The man snatched his phone and ordered the employees at the supermarket to call the police.

"Excuse me sir, but you have mistaken my boss to be someone else. Yes, we know who Felicia Evans is but do you think they look alike?" Jude questioned the strange man with an aggravated tone. freewebnσvel.cøm

The man glared at them before he announced.

"We have to hold her here until the police officers come."

Erika sighed. The man didn’t even want to listen to them at all.

One of the employees came forward and examined Erika.

"You are mistaken, sir. This woman is Erika Anderson, the wife of Ethan Anderson. Yes, they do look alike but she’s not Felicia Evans, the criminal." The employee tried to make the man understand but it seemed he didn’t want to understand.

’I don’t care who she is. She looks like the criminal so she must be a criminal. Once the police get here, I will tell them I caught her and then, they can give me some kind of reward.’ The strange man thought to himself.

He was deadpanned on giving her to the police and getting himself some kind of reward.

Erika didn’t bother to stand and wait for the police to arrive. She grabbed Jude and the both of them resumed their shopping but the man grabbed Erika’s hand and pulled her back.

"Where do you think you are going, criminal? You are not going anywhere until the police get here and take you away," he declared, glaring hard at Erika who stared at him in amusement. freeweɓnovēl.coɱ

"You are quite determined to play the hero here," Erika said, which caught him off guard. "I’m not Felicia Evans and I’m not going to stand here and wait for the police officers, you hear me? You should be worried about yourself. Because once the police get here and find out you have given them false information, you could be the one that gets dragged out of here instead," Erika warned.

She has had enough of the man’s persistence in keeping her there. She didn’t know if she should call the man color-blind. Felicia’s hair in the picture was black and so were her eyes. While hers were completely different. Erika sighed.

The strange man glanced at the employee and the shoppers who had made a brief stop to look at what was happening.

"This is not Felicia Evans," said the employee. The poor employee was also frightened of what would happen after the police got here and harassed Erika. She was a rich woman and if she was embarrassed, she might make the supermarket pay.

As if on cue, the police arrived and the man’s eyes shone in happiness.

"Officers, I’ve caught the criminal that escaped from prison this morning," the man said, intending to drag Erika but the latter immediately escaped his hands.

"Don’t you dare touch me ever again," she warned. The first time he dragged her, she didn’t see it coming but she wouldn’t let him touch her ever again.

The police officers stared at the both of them before they bowed, greeting Erika, which shocked the strange man.

"I’m sorry for the inconvenience, Miss Erika, please don’t mind this strange man."

The man stared at Erika before he tore his eyes away from her.

"This is Felicia Evans, the criminal that escaped this morning." He declared.

"That is Erika Anderson. She’s not Felicia Evans, the criminal you think she is," said one of the officers.

"But how’s that possible, they have the same face," said the man, glaring at Erika.

Since the officers had confirmed that she wasn’t the criminal he thought she was, he wasn’t going to get any kind of reward as he’d thought.

"They have the same face but she’s not the one whom we are looking for," said another officer. He made a mental note send out several pictures of Felicia from different angles.

The police officers sensed that the man had harassed Erika and quickly apologized on his behalf while the man simply stood like a statue, unwilling to move. He was disappointed.

The police officers insisted on taking the man away and giving him a few punishments but Erika tried to stop them.

She understood that the man was confused but even after the employee had said she wasn’t the criminal that escaped, he was still hellbent on arresting her on behalf of the police officers.

But the police officers didn’t want to let him go Scot free so they pulled him into their van and drove away.

The employees urged the customers to continue their shopping after she apologized to Erika and the inconvenience the strange man had caused her.

"Mam," Jude called Erika who was shopping as if nothing had happened. "Felicia has escaped from prison. I have a feeling she escaped to come after you," she added.

Erika nodded. "I know. It seems like she wants to die in my hands so I will be waiting for her."

"But what about the kids," Jude asked, worry laced in her tone. "What if she goes after them first?"

"She wouldn’t. They are in school and there’s no way she can get a hold of them. The only thing she can do at this moment is just monitor them. But she wouldn’t be able to get closer to them. And also, I will be waiting for her call."

Jude stared at Erika in admiration. Erika looked so ready to go fight. When they were done shopping, they paid for their goods and drove back home.
