Chapter 393: GO AHEAD

In the middle of the night, a shadow tried to sneak past a sleeping warden whose mouth was opened widely as she snored, inviting bugs, and the figure could only snort before she walked past the warden.

"This place is so filthy," the figure mumbled as she tried to get past the warden while dodging the camera that was aimed in her direction.

Sticking her body to the wall that was in front of the warden, Felicia tried to control her breathing while she waited for the camera to turn to the other side. When she was sure she wouldn’t be seen, she immediately snuck past the warden while she made sure that her shadow wouldn’t be seen in the camera.

Minding her steps, she ran towards her destination while being careful of bumping into any warden on her way.

Even though it was already midnight, there was still a high possibility that she would bump into one even though she was lucky enough to bump into one that was already asleep and snoring like a pig.

Unbeknownst to Felicia, another figure followed behind her in quiet steps. The strange figure made sure to fit into the darkness just like Felicia did and she had no idea about it.

Felicia finally reached her destination and smiled when she looked up at the building in front of her. This was a separate building where the operations of the prison were being handled. It was a place where no inmate was allowed to be, which is why it has a gate separating it from the other buildings. It also has a different key and a different key holder which Felicia was able to snatch from the warden who was in charge of locking the place up.

Swinging the keys in her hands, a smirk pulled up on Felicia’s lips.

"Let’s see if this works," she said to herself.

Juliet, who had been following Felicia since she saw her woke up and snuck out of her cell room.

Ever since Madam Laura had told her about her instincts telling her that Felicia wanted to escape, she had been following her nonstop but she tried not to make it obvious.

But nothing can go unnoticed under Felicia’s eyes.

"She must have figured out why I was following her, that’s why she’s making her moves at night," Juliet mumbled as she watched Felicia unlock the gate and push it open to enter.

Sneaking past another CCTV camera, Juliet made her way to the gate and waited a bit until she didn’t hear Felicia’s footsteps anymore before she pushed the gate slightly open and made her way in.

Entering the building, Felicia made her way to where the cameras were. She is going to have to manipulate them first in case she left a trace earlier.

When done, she stared at the key holders in fascination. They were the keys to all parts of the prison. The bathroom, the cell rooms, the main gate of the prison, the visiting room. The keys there could open every part of the prison if it was the right one but it was there. This was exactly what Felicia wanted.

Picking the key that had the word ’main gate’ written on its holder, Felicia couldn’t contain herself. This was the moment she had been waiting for. The time for her escape.

Keeping the key to the main gate back to where to pick it from, she chose the one that was written ’the second gate key.’

Even though she was happy about finally being able to escape, she wasn’t going to escape while leaving a trail behind her which is going to assist the police in finding her.

"This one should do," she said to herself.

Suddenly, she saw a figure pass through the camera. It was a warden and the person was coming to where the building was.

Felicia’s heart immediately skipped a beat when she saw the warden. It was the same warden who was sleeping earlier and snoring like a pig.

The key she was holding fell off her hand as fear gripped her when she saw the figure. She hadn’t expected anyone to be in this office with her.

Bending down to take it, she noticed another figure behind her.

She nearly screamed out loud but if not for her hand that quickly covered her mouth.

"What are you doing here?" Felicia questioned Juliet when she was finally able to calm down. The scar on Juliet’s face made her look like a monster that was out for blood.

"I think I should be the one asking you that question," said Juliet. She took a quick look at Felicia before she continued. "You are finally going to try to escape, I see."

Felicia frowned when Juliet used to word ’try’ as if she wasn’t going to do it. "Are you going to try to stop me?" Felicia asked, raising one of her eyebrows. "A warden is already on her way here, I think we both should leave before we get into trouble, Juliet." She tried to negotiate.

"And what makes you think that I will listen to you? I think the warden should catch us here together. That way, you will be questioned why you have the key to the second gate. Believe me, Felicia, I don’t mind being punished but you, who knows what will happen to you."

Felicia scowled at Juliet. She was so close to escaping and she wasn’t going to let Juliet get in her way.

Taking a step closer to Juliet, Felicia said,

"You don’t want this to happen, Juliet. Get out of my way, or..." she drawled. "Or you can come with me. We can both escape together."

Juliet scoffed when she heard Felicia’s offer. She was at a loss for words for a few seconds before she smiled at Felicia. freёwebnovel.com

"And why would I risk that when I’m going to be released soon, and no police officer will be on my trail anymore?" She questioned. "
