Chapter 27: Chapter 27: Lynx Vs Mal’Zaroth II

Chapter 27: Lynx Vs Mal’Zaroth II

Lynx’s frozen head shattered on impact.

He didn’t even have the luxury to think about anything. Just darkness consuming his vision as he slammed to the ground like a bomb, the stone beneath him cracking from the force.

Five whole minutes passed.

Lynx’s body lay still. Headless. A corpse in every sense that mattered. But Mal’Zaroth didn’t move an inch from where he stood. For minutes he had been waiting, it’s massive claws twitching, it’s molted and frozen eyes locked on the broken figure below. He knew something was wrong.

This human was different from all the humans he had fac... killed. His instinct, honed for thousands of years of blood, never lied. And right now, it was screaming at him to stay alert.

Twitch.

Lynx’s fingers twitched. Barely. A movement so small a normal eye would miss it.

But The Monster didn’t miss that. He knew somehow this human will not die from that, during their battle, the human sustained lots of damages and injuries which should have killed him. But he still lived. He is not normal.

Well no normal person would kill the Boulderhide Behemoth and eat it’s meat and bones.

Mal’Zaroth attacked again.

He had been observing every slight change in the human body, how his body kept repairing.

With a guttural growl, he dug out a massive earth boulder from the ground of the pitch black endless zone and blazed it with fire until the rock glowed white hot, molten rivers dripping down its sides.

He wanted to end Lynx with that move.

He threw the massive boulder blazing with fire toward Lynx. It tore through the air, heat distorting everything in its path.

BOOOMMMM!!!!

Everywhere shook. Thick smoke filled the air. Now he was certain for sure that the human was dead. Reduced to nothing.

Mal’Zaroth turned his massive body toward where he had come from and started walking away, each step cracking the ground.

"I don’t know why you’re still fighting," he rumbled, voice like grinding stone as he spoke to the cage, or the person inside the sealed cage.

"No one can save you from me. Just give up." He kept walking, claws dragging. "That boy was pretty annoyin—"

Before Mal’Zaroth could complete his words, he stopped walking. Every muscle in his massive frame tensed.

He raised his massive hands instinctively, shielding his chest. Something was coming.

BAMMM!

It hit him.

For the first time in centuries, Mal’Zaroth flew backward. For the first time, a human was able to push him back. Surprise flashed in his dead eyes before fury took over.

CRASH! BOOMMMM!

He hit the wall loud and hard, shattering it in the process.

.......

Minutes earlier.

As Lynx lay on the floor, headless and almost dead, his Primordial Healing started healing any damage he took inside his body. It worked silently, pulling him back from the edge of death.

His body was damaged to the core. Heart torn in half. Lungs and kidneys ruptured. Blood filled his chest cavity. But the healing healed it anyway, knitting flesh and organ back together with speed.

Headless Lynx while laying like a dead man on the ground was back in peak state.

He felt a massive rock brimming with intense heat coming toward him, trying to crush him instantly on impact.

The Massive heat brimming rock neared him, covering and destroying all the space there. Mal’Zaroth didn’t see what he did. He only saw the rock he threw destroying everything in that area.

Lynx melted to the ground. Using his fire ability, he turned his body to raw flame and sank into the ground, teleporting through the earth itself like a wisp of heat.

BOOMMM!

The blazing boulder hid the ground, cracking and burning the whole ground while it exploded.

Lynx appeared silently at the back of the sealed cage, his head is now back. Body restored to peak state. He stood there for some seconds, not even breathing, fooling Mal’Zaroth with the perfect illusion of death.

When he heard the monster’s words, he was now certain a woman was in the cage.

Lynx created a tiny fireball, no bigger than his palm. Then he infused it with a lot of energy, making the ball grow hotter and brighter until it burned reddish white.

He did this for minutes, blood trickling down from his eyes, pouring every strength into this small-looking fireball. His Veins bulged. His Muscles trembled. Primordial healing repairing damage.

He looked at the walking monster’s massive back, and locked his gaze at his hollow chest. Then he threw the fire ball brimming with devastating energy with his might at the monster chest, which he thinks is where the monster’s power lay.

The fireball shot forward and detonated against Mal’Zaroth’s with the force of a small sun.

After he blasted the monster with the fireball, he didn’t slouch at all. Without wasting another second.

He instantly raised his sword, drawing all its power, every last drop of energy the sword can produce, and slashed the air he stood in. Aiming for the monster’s chest again.

As he slashed the air, the four affinities residing in the sword bashed forward as one. Fire so hot it melted stone. Lightning that cracked the air with deafening thunder. Earth that shattered the ground into floating chunks. Ice capable of freezing air itself, turning breath to frost.

All combined into one slash. One single, world-cutting strike aimed at the monster’s chest. The sword screamed as it moved, the blade glowing like the core of a volcano.

Space itself seemed to warp around the edge, unable to handle the force Lynx had poured into it.

The attack hit.

The shockwaves echoed across the room, rolling outward and smashing against the walls and floors. Dust filled the pitch black forbidden zone. For a moment, even with his Primordial Vison he could see nothing- of course this lasted only for a sec or two.

He still gripped his sword tightly, his arm trembling. He knew he didn’t kill that thing... and he was right.

Mal’Zaroth came out of the debris, his massive frame steaming, voice as loud as thunder rolling across a battlefield.

"That was a nice attack. If I wasn’t ready I would have been weakened by it. Be proud, human. No one have pushed me like this in years."

Lynx saw the demon monster. One of his curved horns was broken clean off. His icy cold left eye was removed, socket burned and empty. His already deformed face looked more hideous now, twisted in rage and something that might have been respect.

But that was it. He didn’t take much damage physically. Not enough to kill him or to stop him.

Lynx used his Primordial Vision to scan the monster.

[Name: Abyssal Inferno Titan, Mal’Zaroth.

MP: 500,000/1,000,000

Total Strength: 3,000,001]

"Fuck," Lynx muttered.

"I will forever remember your name, Human. You have earned my respect. Be proud,"

Mal’Zaroth growled.

Its chest was beginning to split apart, a dark line appearing down the center, the swirling fire and ice coming together.

All the hair in Lynx’s body stood still. Fear creapt up in his veins. He could tell whatever is coming out next from the monster was going to end him. End his system. End his Primordial Healing. End every fuckung thing.

His system was screaming warning in his head. Give all red messages.

He ducked at the back of the sealed cage, then he created a massive earth barrier, slamming his palms into the ground. Stone rose up in thick slabs, forming a fortress wall between him and the demon.

He summoned fire around the earth barrier, burning with intense heat that made the air shimmer. He held his sword tightly, using it as an inner shield. Lightning cracked from the sword, dancing along the blade like angry serpents.

As soon as the words left Mal’Zaroth’s mouth, the hole in his chest split open wide. Massive Energy poured out of it. Not normal energy.

This was something disruptive, destructive and wrong. It came out of his chest like an eruptive volcano blast, destroying everything in the place they were in.

Everywhere turned hot.

The heat from it alone was enough to kill a few beasts far away, their bodies turning to ash before the wave even reached them.

It was targeting everywhere. Mostly Lynx.

The force of the energy burned down the cage. The ancient seal that had held for centuries shattered like glass, runes flaring once before turning to dust.

It broke Lynx’s fire barrier as if it were paper, absorbing the flames in an instant. Then it hit his earth barrier. The stone melted, cracked, and disintegrated, layer after layer peeling away under the impossible force.

Lynx used his sword to protect himself. The sword combined all its energy to shield him, the blade started glowing so bright it hurt to look at.

BOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!

A deafening sound happened in the forbidden zone, the sound was so loud that even the Human Empires heard it. In cities days away. The ground trembled.

Lynx’s body was burnt. His skin peeled. Muscles cooked. Only his skeleton remained now, blackened and smoking, standing defiant in the ruin.

His Primordial Healing kicked in but this time it was slow. Bone by bone, muscle by muscle, he was being rebuilt from the beginning.

Through the smoke and the ruin, Lynx saw the cage broken and a feminine figure lying down on the ground. She wasn’t moving. She was barely breathing. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com

He rushed to the figure. His bones scraped against the debris. He picked her and placed her on his skinny-humanish shoulder.

He bolted out of the place, with full speed.

The demon was shocked. The dust is still there, but he could see clearly. The human survived? The human survived one of his strongest attack. He was stunned and impressed.

Lynx has etch a deep memory on the demon.

He raised his head and saw Lynx. Running at full speed with that woman on his shoulder, he saw the cage destroyed. The demon shook his head and left the place, not chasing after him.

"That Human Is Not Human" He muttered.
