Lynx fell and started breathing heavily, his chest burning. "You want to kill me? How does all this improve fire affinity?" Lynx asked panting, sweat dripping down his face.
"I told you, I won’t go easy on you. Besides, you’re taking it so well" Rose said, her legs crossed.
She created a small fireball that hovered on her palm.
"People underestimate the fire affinity so much. They think it’s just to burn, do fireballs and whatnot. That’s what makes them and their affinity weak.
Never underestimate any affinity. There are many of affinities out there, Lynx. Many people think it’s only Blessed that can use affinities. Which is true, but some people can use affinities too, with artifacts, and some with immense practice."
She looked at Lynx, who was still breathing heavily, and smiled. ’He’s really handsome and he’s got talent’ she thought, her eyes softening for a second.
They’d been training for hours now. It was already night time. Classes were over. Everyone was supposed to be in their dorm rooms by now.
We should stop here for today, you’ve missed the rest of your classes, which is not good for a newbie," she said, standing up.
"Okay, thanks for today," Lynx stood up, his legs shaking. He asked, "How will I get to my room faster? And is there any important competition coming up which you’re aware of?"
"Yes, the Supreme Blessed Tournament. It involves the four Blessed academies of the Human continent. The Void Academy has been leading for the past 10 years and they will likely win this year.
It’s coming up one month from now. Why do you ask?" She titled her head curiously.
"Oh, nothing, just curious... and how do I get to my room faster?"
Rose smiled. She used an artifact to open a portal, blue light swirling. "Here. Goodbye, young man."
"Thanks and by the way, you should smile more often, you look more beautiful when you smile," Lynx almost entered the portal, then he paused. As he stared at the floating screen only he could see.

"Wait, what the fuck" he muttered, his eyes widening.
"Hey, why aren’t you leaving yet, did you say something?" Rose said, smiling softly. She heard his talks about her smiling, which made her heart beat faster. To get complimented by a man as handsome like a god. Please.
"Nah, just got one more question to ask. Two actually. Since the Humans, Dragons, Elves and other races have their own continent, have you heard of a place where all races live together... and how does this human continent work?" Lynx asked, his pulse racing.
He had read somthing like this in some fantasy books back on Earth and he still had no clue how this human continent operated.
Apart from being a failure, he had read lots of por... fantasy books.
"Yes, there is. How do you not know about it? It’s the biggest continent in Aetherion. It looks like a whole different world.
All races and creatures live there together, Blessed or not. It’s called the United Continent.
It was the first continent of Aetherion, but due to problems and some races thinking they are better than others and some oppressing other races, Elves left and found their own continent, dragons found theirs too, before demons, then humans...
The human continent has 4 Empires. Each ruled by the strongest Blessed of their various empires."
"Thanks, that’s all I need to know. I learned a lot today". He started walking towards her.
"You’re so beautiful, Rose. I know you hear that a lot, but you’re really, really beautiful and hot. I want to kiss you right now."
Rose just stood there, dumbfounded. Her heart was racing, cheeks heating up. ’I am one of the strongest Blessed in the Human Continent. People don’t dare cross me. Men don’t dare look at me twice. But why the hell am I feeling like this?’ She’s not dumb, of course she know what this feeling is.
But she couldn’t understand why she’s feeling this way for a boy she met earlier today and much younger and weaker than her.
Lynx stood in front of her. His 6’2 height towering over her 5’8 frame. He raised her chin and smiled softly at her. His Transcendent Charm doing the rest of the work.
He kissed her slowly and softly. Then pulled away. "You’re really beautiful, Rose." He stepped into the portal, disappearing from the scene.
"What the hell just happened?" Rose was speechless. She could have easily killed him, but she waited to see what he was trying to do.
He was the first person to kiss her. She hadn’t even stood this close to a man in her life. She blushed softly, her face turning red.
’That kid is something else. We’ve been using the Firehart training for hours and he’s still able to stand up. I think we got ourselves a monster in this academy,’ she thought.
Lynx stepped out of the portal, dizzy. He placed his hand on the shining stone on the door, which recognized the inmate. The door opened and he saw two boys there, laying on their beds. ’They must be my new roommates’ he thought.
He ignored them, opened his crystal-like door and entered his room. He fell on the bed, exhausted. He noticed the way Rose had been stealing glances at him when she was training him.
"Damn, this system isn’t bluffing about my charm. Man I’m tired," he yawned, closing his eyes.
’Hey System dude, why didn’t you say my powers are not awakened yet? And are there a lot more than 4 affinities?’
[Stop calling me that, and why would they be awakened? You’re the chosen one, so you have to work really hard. You’re not some overpowered main character. You’re going to make yourself overpowered and I’ll assist you, immensely at that.]
’Okay, but how do I awaken it? I really have to get stronger faster. I can’t train like this anymore.’
