Chapter 15: Meeting with Teacher Rose
[At the Infirmary]
’Blink, blink.’
The first thing Kira saw was Lynx, who was still looking around the infirmary. ’He’s looking so handsome. This is not how I remembered him to be.’
"How long was I out, and why are you still here?" Kira asked with an expressionless face concealing her thoughts as she slowly helped herself sit up.
Lynx turned back to look at her. "You’re awake. Wow, the healers here really know how to do their jobs."
"That’s not what I asked. Why are you still here, and how long was I out?" Kira spoke coldly.
"Hey, calm down. You’ve been here for two hours. I’ve been here for two hours too. Didn’t leave your side at all. Can’t leave my dear cousin sister alone here" he winked at her.
"Get out. I don’t want to see your face. You’re supposed to be meeting Teacher Rose now, and trust me, you don’t want to see her angry. How did you even become a Blessed?" She hissed sharply.
Lynx stood up from his chair, walked closer to her, sat by the side of the bed, got comfortable. Then he took some of her hair and brushed it aside.
"Kira relax. I know you hate me. I don’t know why, but it’s okay to be angry at someone. I’m sorry for whatever I’ve done." He let go of her hair and took her right hand, then placed it on his chest.
"What are you doing? There are people here, we’re cousins, stop whateve—"
"I know. I’m not doing anything. Just feel my heartbeat and stop trying to struggle or break free. It’s okay."
She slowly relaxed herself, placed her palm on his heart, and felt his heart beating slowly. Not the human kind of beat - just one beat every few seconds.
"What the fuck, why is your heart like this?" she asked, shocked. His heartbeat wasn’t normal.
"I’m not the same Lynx you knew before, Kira," Lynx spoke while looking into her eyes.
"Well, technically we’re the same. But I was supposed to die 24 hours after my birthday. Infact I was already dead long before. But Before the final hours were up, something awakened inside me. fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
I was chosen, granted a chance to become the strongest Blessed ever. My plan now is to learn my powers, get stronger, rule the whole Aetherion, and a lot more other exciting things." He smiled softly. Of course the exciting things he meant was Sex.
He touched her face and started caressing it. "But more importantly, I want to protect the people I love. I want to rule the world, but with the people I love by my side... but I can’t do that if you don’t let me. Don’t build walls around me, or around your mom.
She came here the other day. She was really sad you didn’t come to see her." Kira looked away, acting as if she doesn’t care.
Lynx stood up. "I have to go meet Teacher Rose now. I’ve spoken enough. It’s your choice to take whatever decision you want to take."
He brought out the tiny artifact. "Uhm, hey... I can’t use this. How do they use this?" he asked with a pleading gaze.
Kira stifled a laugh. "Bring it over here." He brought it over. "Place your thumb on it, and ask for permission to visit her."
’Lynx seems really different. He’s more talkative now, less brooding and gloomy. He looks so handsome, hot and he’s kinda glowing now. Ah shit. I’m already giving in.’
Lynx did as he was told, and a few seconds later the artifact started shaking. Then he placed it on the floor and a portal appeared.
"Thanks. I’ll see you later. You can continue hating me and your mom, whatever choice you make, I’ll support either way."
He entered the portal and disappeared.
Kira sank back on the bed. ’Oh shit, my head is a mess now. Nicely done, Lynx.’ She lay down and slept off.
...
Lynx appeared in a big room, like an office, but bigger and grander. There was a bed here too. ’Wow.’
"So Lynx Azarion, Blessed at 18, the kid with four Affinities... care to explain why you’re late again?"
Lynx turned back and saw his teacher, arms crossed, sitting on a desk.
’Damn she’s hot. Does she even know what she does to men walking in those tight pants?’
"Sorry, I was with my cousin the whole time at the infirmary. Had to make sure she’s okay before I see you... Uhm, can I sit? I have a favor to ask" Lynx smiled.
"Ohh, you’re late and now you’re asking for a favor. Wow the brave kid. Go for it, I’m all ears," she replied sarcastically.
He ignored her sarcastic remark, found a chair, and sat down.
"I want you to train me. See, I recently awakened and my affinities are kinda locked right now, and I don’t have time to play. I would have loved to train alone. But I prefer the hot and strong Rose Firehart of the Firehart household to be my guide" he smiled.
"And why would I train you?" She raised her eyebrows.
"Because when I become the strongest Blessed to ever live, take over the academy, the human continent, the whole Aetherion... you will be by my side, and you will be able to say proudly, that you had a hand in my growth."
Ha ha ha.
She laughed loudly. "You’re really funny, kid. You’re not the first person to say this, and what makes you think you’ll succeed? I mean, I admire your dream. But you have to face the Humans, Stupid Vampires, Dragons, Elves, Beastkins, and worst of all, those disgusting Demons.
And we’re not talking about taking them on individually. You’re taking on continents."
"I don’t know if you noticed, but I’m pretty different from the rest of you Blessed," Lynx stood up, walked up to her, and faced her.
"Why, because you’re the first to have four affinities?" She asked, still amused.
"No... okay, maybe. But I can have all the affinities in the world, of all races. I’m going to be a God, the most powerful God to ever exist. And I need to start by getting stronger. So will you be a dear and teach this humble student?" He bowed. His charm doing the rest of the work.
"I like you. I’m going to do it, and I’m going to be very brutal about it. Let’s just hope when you say you’re different from us, you meant it." She turned around and started walking.
"Oh, I definitely meant it."
