Chapter 1162: Chapter 1162: Thank You, Dad

Noah first pulled out a rabbit doll and excitedly asked Arthur Sutton, "Is this for me?!"

Arthur Sutton nodded, "Yes, it’s your rabbit. Your brother has a bear. Your mom said you like this the most."

Noah happily spun around, "Yay! I have a little rabbit to sleep with!"

Seeing the child’s happiness, Arthur Sutton smiled along, "There are others too, open them all."

Noah waved at Chase, "Brother, come over! There are Transformers, too!"

Chase showed some disdain but still put down the TV remote and reluctantly walked over.

The purchased items included snacks, toys, and clothes.

And children are particularly easy to please; a bit of kindness makes them extremely happy.

Arthur Sutton watched fondly from the side, his eyes filled with indulgent smiles.

Suddenly, Noah hugged her beloved rabbit and walked up to Arthur Sutton, smiling at him without saying a word.

Seeing Noah being shy, Arthur Sutton patted her head and asked, "What’s wrong?"

Noah climbed onto his leg and said, "I have a secret to tell you."

Arthur Sutton chuckled and lifted Noah into his arms, leaning his ear over to her.

Noah covered her mouth with her hand and whispered, "Thank you, Daddy."

Arthur Sutton instantly froze, looking incredulous.

He pulled Noah close and asked her, "What did you call me?"

Noah smiled shyly and whispered, "Daddy."

Arthur Sutton smiled, but his eyes turned slightly red.

"You two go wash your hands and eat first, then open the gifts later." Janelle Tollman came out of the kitchen holding a soup, greeting the two kids.

Arthur Sutton led the two kids to wash their hands and saw Janelle Tollman taking out bowls and chopsticks in the kitchen, so he followed her in.

Seeing Janelle Tollman on tiptoe trying to reach the plates on the top of the cupboard, struggling a bit, he walked behind her and helped her take down a plate to hand to her, smiling and saying, "Noah just called me ’Daddy’."

Janelle Tollman paused as she held the plate, then smiled, joking, "Maybe it’s a bit early to call you that?"

Arthur Sutton: "But I’ve been waiting for a long time. I was planning to wait a while longer before bringing you and the kids home. Now I can’t wait any longer. How about... tonight?"

Janelle Tollman became nervous immediately: "Ah? Meet your family? Wouldn’t it be too sudden? Maybe wait a few days... You should go and explain to them first. The kids are grown already, it might be strange to suddenly meet them."

Arthur Sutton laughed gently, with a bit of helplessness in his tone: "I don’t think my sister is the kind of person who can keep secrets, she probably told the family about it early already. My mom has been hinting all the time recently, so she must be waiting for me to bring you home."

At the kitchen door, Noah popped her head out, looking at them saying, "Daddy, Mommy, come out and eat."

Janelle Tollman and Arthur Sutton shared a smile, their eyes full of happiness.

At the dining table, Arthur Sutton discussed a bit with Mrs. Tollman and decided to arrange for the two families to meet in the afternoon.

All the Suttons had heard that Arthur Sutton, the "old bachelor," was going to bring someone home, and gathered at the house eagerly waiting to see.

Audrey Sutton had mentioned the children, and now everyone’s main concern was whether those two kids were Arthur Sutton’s.

The children are so big. If they are his, when were they born?
