Chapter 370: Chapter 367: Dorothy’s Mommy’s IQ Is Truly Worrying

"But weren’t we all clueless when we were two or three? I don’t think these two darlings get their brains from me, though the younger one’s temper is a bit like mine."

Ethan Ellsworth smiled. "Every parent is different, so of course their children will be, too. And who’s the father of these two? Quentin Grant. Tell me, how many men in this world are like him? Why would you expect anyone else’s kids to be just like his? Putting that aside, Dorothy’s maturity really surprises me. It makes my heart ache a little, too. She’s so young, yet she understands everything."

Nora Ainsworth said goodbye to the teacher and the director. They all shook hands and then left.

She and Ethan Ellsworth walked back side by side.

Of course, they talked as they walked.

"Have they ever taken an IQ test?" Ethan Ellsworth asked.

"No."

"Let’s give them one when the kids get out of school. I’m also curious what those two’s IQs are."

Nora Ainsworth smiled. "Sure."

"A famous psychologist once said that if a child’s mental age matches their chronological age, their intelligence is considered average. But if their mental age is higher or lower than their chronological age, then their intelligence is above or below average. This is a well-founded concept; high or low IQ is determined by testing."

"I had mine tested once. It was 120," Nora Ainsworth said.

"That’s already considered very intelligent. The other two and I all tested ours before. Want to guess what your man’s IQ is?" Ethan Ellsworth asked.

"What is it?"

"165," Ethan Ellsworth scoffed. "Do you have any idea what 165 means? An IQ of 140 is already considered genius or near-genius level. Your man is at 165. How low could his sons’ IQs possibly be?"

Nora Ainsworth actually had a hunch. ’For Quentin Grant to be able to manage the entire Grant Group, he must be much, much smarter than me.’

"What about you?"

"Mine’s 144, and Young Master Hawthorne’s is 153."

Nora Ainsworth said in disbelief, "Young Master Hawthorne’s is really high, too. And you’re basically a genius! Anyone who achieves great things must be miles ahead of the average person mentally."

Ethan Ellsworth nodded. "So that’s why your two little ones don’t act like kids. With a father that brilliant, how could his sons be anything less? This is just kindergarten. I bet once they start elementary school, they’ll skip grades. Quentin himself skipped from first grade straight to fourth. He graduated from college way early."

With that, the two of them reached the stairwell and headed upstairs.

Ethan Ellsworth and Quentin Grant analyzed the situation together once more. Finally, Quentin Grant stated with conviction, "This has to hit the news today. Dorothy definitely won’t be coming to kindergarten tomorrow. Report this matter directly to our superiors and await instructions. The incident with Chloe was public knowledge; everyone knew she was your woman. Now, we have the child’s DNA test right here. It doesn’t matter if they’re suspicious, as long as our superiors aren’t. If they’re on our side, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will certainly speak out and give orders. We’re heading back today, and I will resolve this perfectly. Even if that Lillian Bancroft is a head of state, if our nation’s dignity is threatened, the representatives will have him removed from power."

Upon hearing this, Ethan Ellsworth remarked in admiration, "On the way back just now, Nora and I were talking about your two boys’ intelligence. With a father’s IQ that high, how could the children’s be any lower? Right, Young Master Grant?"

Quentin Grant crossed his legs. "I’ll consider that a statement of the obvious. My two sons will definitely grow up to be extraordinary. Which means your Dorothy has good taste."

Ethan Ellsworth gave a couple of dry coughs. "I’m not one for arranging child marriages."

Quentin Grant shot him a look. "You old traditionalist. I’m not for it either. I’m just worried. If the boys are this smart, won’t our house be completely surrounded by girls when they grow up?"

"Well, Elmer is certainly a chip off the old block," Ethan Ellsworth chuckled.

"Of course my son takes after me. Who else would he take after, you? When Chloe gets back, you should have a good talk with her. Tell your Dorothy to learn a thing or two from her mama. That’ll give her more room to grow."

Ethan Ellsworth understood his meaning and couldn’t help but retort, "My wife is a ditz. If my daughter ends up being a little ditz too, she’ll just get pushed around by your son. It’s bad enough her future mother-in-law won’t be the sharpest, but my daughter too? I can’t bear it!"

"What the hell are you scared of? It’ll be fine as long as *you’re* sharp. Besides, our Nora would never let Dorothy get bullied. But that’s all talk for the future. The most critical thing right now is getting Chloe out of there unharmed. My dear co-father-in-law, I will pour all my efforts into rescuing our dear co-mother-in-law."

Ethan Ellsworth snorted. "Holy hell, can you stop calling me that? I’m still young!"

Nora Ainsworth listened to their exchange in silence, utterly speechless.

After school, Ethan Ellsworth found an IQ test. It covered areas like numeracy, spatial reasoning, logic, vocabulary, creativity, and memory. Each section had 30 questions, arranged from easy to difficult, designed to test a person’s judgment, comprehension, and logical skills.

It was a little ridiculous to make two children who were just over two years old answer these questions, but Ethan Ellsworth had a feeling they would do well.

The two kids managed to finish the test by dinnertime. After the meal, Ethan Ellsworth and Quentin Grant went to check the results together.

Both men were stunned.

Ethan Ellsworth turned to look at the two identical boys. "I remember seeing on the news that a two-year-old girl abroad had an IQ of 156 and was called the world’s youngest, most intelligent child. But that record might not stand. Usually, if the parents have high IQs, their children will inherit that. Still, you two have surpassed all my expectations. I thought you’d max out at 140, but who knew you’d be even more incredible."

Dylan, still a little grumpy about Dorothy kissing him, snorted lightly. "Uncle, is our score almost as high as yours?"

Though he didn’t want to admit it, Ethan Ellsworth said it all in one go. "Congratulations, kid. You and your brother have the same IQ. You twins really are in sync. It’s 158. You’ve successfully surpassed me and your Uncle Hawthorne, and you’re about to catch up to your old man. What is happening to this world? To be honest, I’m a little worried. My IQ isn’t low, but Dorothy’s mama’s IQ is a real cause for concern. I just hope Dorothy took after me."

Quentin Grant burst out laughing. "See, Young Master Ellsworth? This is why there are so many advantages to Dorothy marrying into my family. Thankfully, my son’s intelligence comes from me. If he took after his mother, an IQ of 120 would be just as worrisome. It’s not a bad score, but it’s still not on my level. And the Grant Group has to be handed down to my son, after all."

Nora Ainsworth pouted, a little displeased at being slighted. "It doesn’t matter who they take after. They’re still my sons."
