Chapter 94: The Void Beast’s Strike Back Pt. 2
Ruby was not able to deal with the Void Beasts since she was busy dealing with Mary Jane.
Shadow and several of the Blood Maidens appeared around Ruby to help her while she was busy.
But none of the women actually thought that the Void Beasts were stupid enough to target Fate.
Dozens of them jumped onto the drawbridge and began to surround Fate.
Mary Jane, seeing these creatures covered in human skin clothing and with their fierce white hair and razor-sharp teeth, began to tremble in fear. She called out to Ruby and Fate.
"What the hell are these creatures? Let me go now, Ruby! I have to get out of here. The goddess is telling me to flee from these things."
Fate moved to stand in front of Ruby and deal with these creatures. Fate may not like to handle things himself most of the time, but that does not mean he is afraid of killing when it is necessary.
Fate looked at the Void Beasts and said to them, "Tell me, why have you Void Beasts come to this world? Who let you run free in Eryndor, knowing that creatures like you feed on the suffering of the mortal races?"
One large Void Beast moved in front of the others and said to Fate, "I am Primal. We have come to eliminate you, Fate Grimsever, for breaking the curse placed upon Ruby Valentine and Amara Sterling. They are meant to destroy this world, not save it. You have interfered in the plans of the Void Sovereign and his allies. For that, you must die."
Fate heard this explanation and simply ignored it. So what if his interference in this world has caused all of his OP MILF Harem targets to focus on him rather than destroying the world?
With a smile on his face, Fate said to Primal, "Primal, you should not have shown yourself in front of me. Now I am required to kill you all rather than letting my wives deal with you. They would be far more fair in a fight than me."
Primal sneered when he heard this statement and said to Fate, "Puny mortal man, what can you possibly do to me? You are nothing but the plaything of the cursed ones. The women you have saved have a predetermined destiny to destroy this world and make way for the Sovereign Lord and his armies to take over this world."
Fate just smiled as Primal waved for his soldiers to attack Fate. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
Fate, seeing the dozens of Void Beasts coming at them, said to Shadow and the Blood Maidens, "Girls, leave this battle to me. Perhaps it’s past time for me to demonstrate my strength since I am continuously underestimated."
Fate waved his hand in the air, and a quarterstaff made of pure fire formed in his hands. Fate ran to meet the first Void Beast as he swung his sword at Fate. The sword made contact with his body and turned to ash.
Caught by surprise, Fate hit the Void Beast on the side of the head with his quarterstaff. Upon contact with his weapon, the first Void Beast cried out in pain as fire began to burn his body. From his face, it spread to his chest, then to his lower body. Within only three seconds, the Void Beast was reduced to nothing but pure ash as his body was burned up by the divine power of Phoenix Flames.
Primal looked on in horror as his soldier was reduced to ash with a mere tap from this human’s weapon.
Fate met the next Void Beast soldier’s sword with his quarterstaff. It again turned to ash. The beast dropped his weapon and used his claws to try and rip out Fate’s heart.
Fate only tapped the end of his quarterstaff on the beast’s hand as it went up in flames. As the Void Beast cried out in pain, "Ahhh, what kind of weapon is this?"
The beast quickly began to turn into ash and dispersed into the wind, flying up from the moat below.
Fate then transformed his quarterstaff into a flaming spear and threw it at the next three Void Beasts to run at him.
*Squelch* x3
His spear impaled the three right through their chests, then came out the other side of the last beast’s body. It flew right at Primal, who jumped out of the way of the incoming spear.
Primal cried out in shock, "Oh shit, what in the Sovereign’s name is this magic?"
The spear kept flying through the air behind Primal, only to hit one of the archers standing on a building behind him. The archer cried out in shock, "Ahh, Primal, help me! How can this weapon do something like this?"
Primal, seeing three of his soldiers die at once, yelled out to his archers and mages, "Archers and mages, use your ranged weapons to take him out. Mages, use water magic to take out that fire magic he is using."
All at once, the sky lit up as dozens of spells and arrows flew in Fate’s direction.
Fate dispersed his flaming spear and waved his hand into the air. A giant wave of flames rose up out of nowhere and formed into a giant flaming tide that shielded Fate and the others from this magical bombardment filled with magic and arrows.
With a smile on his face, Fate waved his hand forward, and the tide of flames flew outward like the tide of an ocean. Fate sent it towards the Void Beasts still running at him on the drawbridge. The fire harmlessly washed over the wooden drawbridge and engulfed all of these Void Beasts, who quickly turned to ash while caught up in the Phoenix Flames.
Primal, seeing an ocean of fire sweeping at him, made a split-second decision and jumped into the green moat below him.
After Fate’s flames cleaned up the drawbridge, the tide of flames dissipated and turned into flaming birds the size of crows. The flaming crows flew through the air and right at the dozens of Void Beasts hiding on the far-away roofs, using long-range attacks on Fate.
The first three crows turned into six, and six into twelve, and twelve into twenty-four right in the air above the drawbridge of Shadow Spire Citadel. This scene of living fire flying in the air was seen by Shadow and the Blood Maidens, who all took out magic recording stones to record the battle of their lord and god.
Ruby, of course, was the most impressive of all as she recorded the fight from beginning to end, all while still holding the ear of Mary Jane.
The twenty-four flaming crows flew into the distant Void Beasts and set them aflame as all of them screamed out in pain, shouting in unison, "Ahh, curse you, Fate Grimsever! The Void Sovereign will not let you go!" x24
Then they also turned to ash, only to dissipate into the wind. Fate looked at the unblemished drawbridge and the distant buildings as he said out loud, "My control over my flames has gotten much better in the last few months."
Fate began to walk over to the spot where Primal jumped into his moat from. Fate looked down at this stupid unnamed creature. Primal is only his rank, not his name. With a smile on his face, Fate watched as this Void creature screamed at Fate.
"Fate Grimsever, you will never escape the Void Sovereign or his allies. We will hunt you down until the day you die. This fight is not over. I will return with a legion of my soldiers."
Fate smiled as he looked at the green water. This poor guy did not even realize that his body has begun to melt from contact with that water. Fate was not even sure if his own flames would hurt this guy more than this moat can.
Primal began to feel a stinging pain all over his body. Then he saw his fingers begin to dissolve in this strange water. Suddenly, Primal saw the bones of his fingers, then his hands. Primal tried to use the magic of the Void to protect his body, but this corrosive water ate through his magic in an instant, then his flesh.
Primal cried out to Fate, "Fate Grimsever, please kill me! This is not a fate that an enemy should die from!"
Fate just sat down on a chair that appeared mysteriously from somewhere while Shadow brought him some lemonade to sip from a glass. Then Fate said, "Hmm, this lemonade is good. It’s always nice to see the death of your enemies with a refreshing drink in your hands."
