A creepy laughter was heard from the woods around them as the attackers appeared in front of Amara.
There were around a hundred of them, all dressed in what appeared to be clothing made from human skin. They reeked of a foul and malicious odor that was wrong and not supposed to exist in the world of Eryndor.
These tall beasts resembled humans, only they had lifeless red eyes, long pointed teeth used for killing and eating meat, and long pointed ears with distinctive white hair.
All of them were well over eight feet tall with strong muscular bodies and ash grey skin.
Amara saw these creatures and her eyes grew wide with surprise. "What are Void Beasts doing in this world?"
With a serious look on her face, Amara said to these creatures who discard all human life, "What the hell are you Void Beasts doing in our world?"
The lead Void Beast smiled, revealing his white pointed teeth that looked like they recently fed on a human, as he said, "The Void Sovereign has ordered the death of your little lover, Fate Grimsever, as well as you, Amara Sterling, and Ruby Valentine, two abominations that have somehow broken the curses placed upon you. We have come to fix this mistake on our master’s orders. You both are not meant to become human again; this cannot be allowed to happen."
Amara sneered at the mention of the Void Sovereign. If that coward was actually here, she would crush him under the heel of her boots.
Amara said to this idiot in front of her, "Well, if that’s all you wanted to say, then you can return to the Void from which you came as a corpse."
Amara took her Maul and swung it into the air towards the lead Void Beast. She used the momentum of her swing to propel her body forward and smash into the beast’s giant black sword.
*Boom*
Clouds of dust were kicked up by the impact as several of the weaker Void Beasts around their leader were instantly turned into a bloody pulp by the impact of this single hit from Amara’s weapon.
It could be seen from this that Amara did not take her battle at the church with Bishop Gary Oldman seriously at all.
Then her subordinates ran into the nearby enemies with daggers and swords drawn.
The Blood Maidens used the Shadow Veins to appear behind the backs of the Void Beasts.
With their twin daggers in hand, they backstabbed the Void Beasts as you could hear the sticky sound of their daggers piercing into the spines of these creatures, with black blood spraying out onto the faces of these alluring killers.
The Dark Paladins used their long great swords to meet the blades of their enemies.
*Bang*
*Snap*
To the surprise of these Void Beasts, their own weapons broke on impact with the weapons of the Dark Paladins.
One of these Void Beasts said to the Dark Paladins in front of him, "How can you be so strong? You’re only supposed to be human after your curse is broken. You lost your power as undead; it’s not possible to be even stronger than you were before."
One of the Dark Paladins sneered and said to this Void Beast, "A damned creature like you can never understand the power that our god and master has granted us. Not only are we alive, but we have become so much more than mere undead or simple humans. We have ascended to a level beyond human through our connection to our masters, Amara Sterling and Ruby Valentine."
The Void Beast who heard this said to this woman, "Nonsense! No human can evolve beyond what they were already born to be. That kind of ability only belongs to demons, monsters, and hell spawn. You are saying that none of you are even human anymore. How can a human like you ever willingly forsake your humanity?"
The Dark Paladin responded, "We have ascended to a level beyond human through our belief in our master. What foolish human would not jump at the opportunity for a better future?"
This Dark Paladin swung her sword at another nearby Void Beast and decapitated him. All around them, Void Beasts were being slaughtered left and right like chickens.
The leader of these Void Beasts, simply referred to as Primal, as this was his rank, with a frown on his face, Primal said to Amara, "How the hell can all of you be so strong? You should only be a simple human. If the curse Damon cast on you was ever broken, it was supposed to leave you a powerless and crippled human. Now you are more powerful than ever before. That is something that is impossible without the intervention of a divine being."
Amara swung her Maul at Primal once again as he used his sword to block it.
*Bang*
Primal looked with shock on his face as all of his subordinates around him were being slaughtered faster than they could even lift their weapons.
Many of his own soldiers’ weapons were being broken in their conflict with these twenty-one women. Primal wondered how such a fierce group of women could exist without anyone knowing, especially the Void Sovereign.
Looking at Primal in front of her, Amara smiled as she saw an ally coming to aid her.
Amara smiled and said to the beast in front of her, "Primal, you should look behind you, or you might not know how you’re about to die in a few seconds."
Primal only sneered as he responded to Amara, saying, "I’m no fool. The Shadow Monarch would never help her enemies by telling them about the danger that is coming for them."
Amara smiled. She could not blame him for saying this, but this time it was true. Primal could not blame her either. Amara swung her Maul as it made contact with Primal’s sword.
*Bam*
*Bang*
*Boom*
Sounds of intense fighting could be heard around them as every swing of Amara’s Maul crushed several Void Beasts like a hammer squishing worms.
*Splat*
"Ahhh, you bitch! You will pay for this!"
With this statement, Primal went berserk, and as his body size grew to twice his original size, now over sixteen feet tall, he brought his toothpick-like sword to meet Amara’s giant Maul.
*Boom* freeweɓnovēl.coɱ
*Crack*
But to Primal’s surprise, his own sword broke rather than him breaking Amara’s arms or her weapon. All he was left with was a giant half-broken Great Sword.
Amara smiled, and twisting her arms quickly in a circle, she sent her hammer flying into Primal’s chest.
*Boom*
*Crack*
*Crunch*
Amara’s Maul left a giant indent in Primal’s chest with the sound of broken bones being left behind from the impact.
Withdrawing her Maul from Primal’s chest, Amara’s smile faded from her face as the wound on this creature’s chest began to heal at a pace visible to the naked eye.
Primal began to laugh out loud as he threw his broken Great Sword to the side. Then Primal used his teeth to bite into his own wrist. As he did so, blood began to rush out of his body.
"Ha ha, to think you would force me to use my blood magic. One of the greatest powers at the disposal of me and my kin."
Amara frowned as she saw the bodies of all the slaughtered Void Beasts begin to shrivel up as the blood from their bodies and on the ground began to rush towards him. Amara put on a rare serious face and yelled to her subordinates, "All of you, fall back at once! This is no longer a battle that any of you can participate in!"
All twenty of her subordinates yelled in unison, "Yes, Mistress!"
Amara, with a serious look on her face, smiled then.
*Crack*
Amara cracked her neck because, for the first time, she could unleash a bit of her true power.
"Heh, it’s time to have a bit of fun!"
