Chapter 72: The Void Beasts Strike Pt. 1

Ruby was relieved. As expected of a god-like Fate, of course he was immune to that girl’s charm magic. This is the ability that she used to gain the position of the saintess of The Church of Divine Promises. fгeewebnovёl.com

This ability, and the fact that Mary Jane Dawson was willing to carry out any orders she was given by the church, established a relationship of mutual benefits between them.

Fate smiled at how Ruby looked visibly relieved. As the properly prepared and paranoid individual that he is, Fate went through relentless psychological training in his last life to resist the temptations of women. He gave up women for a whole week one time. This was the hardest thing Fate had ever done in his life.

So compared to giving up his MILFs, this kind of petty magic is nothing. In fact, Fate knew that if he had to go a full week in this world without enjoying Ruby, Amara, someone was definitely going to die, and that person would not be any the wiser about how they burned to death.

This thought made Fate think of a certain prince who seemed to have some delusions about his women. But Fate still did not take Nimrod seriously at all.

In the eyes of Ruby and Amara, Nimrod and those heroines are only playthings to be discarded when they are no longer entertaining. It’s so nice to have such overpowered wives in this life.

With a knowing smile on his face, Fate took Ruby’s hands in his own and led her to a nice blanket that was laid out for them to enjoy this moonlight picnic date. freēwebnovel.com

As she looked at the moon in the sky, Ruby said to Fate, "Fate, it was a great idea coming out here to enjoy this date. I think before school starts at Bloomspire Academy, we should go on a trip with Amara. We can grab a quest at the Adventurers Guild and go fight a few monsters. I’m sure that Sam is eager to promote us from F rank adventurers as soon as possible."

Fate nodded his head, excited at the thought of this idea. "We can do that, Ruby, but first let me show you where my Big Dipper goes. It’s time for you to learn about the mysteries of the heavens while I take you to heaven."

The night with Ruby came as quickly as it left.

When Fate awoke, he found the picnic basket they brought with them still unopened. So, curious, Fate opened it up and looked inside.

Fate was dumbfounded as he discovered two cheeseburgers inside with pickles and cheese on them, complete with ketchup and mustard.

Fate looked around to make sure there was not another victim of Truck-kun around here.

Ruby reappeared by his side after she had just taken a bath in a nearby creek to clean off the evidence of last night’s vigorous stargazing activities. Ruby saw Fate looking at the cheeseburgers in his hand and smiled.

Fate liked to talk about food a lot in his sleep, so Amara and Ruby, along with the new research and development team they put together to recreate some of the things Fate talks about in his sleep, were able to make cheeseburgers among other new creations.

Ruby had to admit that the effort Fate went to learn things for his inevitable meeting with Truck-kun was quite extensive. Fate learned everything from advanced mathematics to military training techniques; among them, the idea of guerrilla warfare was very interesting to Ruby and Amara.

Walking up to sit on the blanket next to Fate, Ruby smiled and took one of the cheeseburgers from Fate and said, "I found the recipe for this unique sandwich in a few old books at the market. It’s called a cheeseburger. Someone created it a few hundred years ago, but the recipe was lost to time until I found it in that book."

Fate took a bite of the cheeseburger as Ruby fed it to him. It tasted just like a cheeseburger from Whackdonald’s. After enjoying the taste, Fate smiled and said to Ruby, "This is a very good sandwich. I can’t believe that someone was able to create something like this and recorded it down in a book."

Fate was glad that this recipe came from an old book and not from another Truck-kun victim. Fate was not sure how Ruby would handle someone who approached him from modern times.

Fate did not fear for his own safety but for the poor idiot who tried to inevitably hit on one of his wives. They were in for a world of hurt.

With a smile on his face, Fate enjoyed the two cheeseburgers that Ruby fed him.

After his meal, Fate looked at Ruby sitting by his side with her still wet red hair and asked her, "Ruby, don’t you want to eat? There is more food here for you to enjoy."

Ruby shook her head in denial and said to Fate, "No need, husband. I’m too full from last night’s activities, so I’m fine."

Fate saw the ambiguous look on Ruby’s face and laughed, saying, "Ha ha, fine. Have it your way, my dear wife. I will be sure to give you more nourishment soon."

After his meal, Fate and Ruby cleaned up their picnic site and retrieved their horses. After mounting Janus and seeing Ruby mount her corrupted unicorn, Midnight, they began to ride back to Valoria. While Fate and Ruby were returning to the relative safety of the city, Amara encountered some trouble while following them back.

Amara and her guards intercepted a group of "bandits" on the road that did not belong to the group from last night sent by the church. These bandits fired arrows at Amara and her subordinates. One of these arrows, with a barbed tip on it, went straight towards Amara’s shapely and sexy knee. But how could Amara be hit in the knee by a simple arrow? Amara only lifted her foot up and, using the momentum of her horse Juno, she kicked the arrow aside. Then she did a flip in the air off her horse, landing on the ground.

Amara pulled a handle from her back, and using her dark magic, the handle began to turn into a giant seven-foot-long hammer with a several hundred-pound head on it.

Amara stores her weapon inside of its handle while traveling since it makes her able to travel faster on Juno, her female zombie lord horse. A zombie lord is the highest level a zombie can reach; at this level, an undead is no different from a living person, except for the fact that they can’t be killed.

Amara’s twenty other subordinates all dismounted their mounts and gathered at her side. A mix of Blood Maidens and Dark Paladins wearing their sleek and sexy battle armor.

Amara smacked her maul on the ground and called out to the men hiding in the woods.

*Bang*

"Who dares to try and attack Amara Sterling?"
