Fate began to eat his meal, but he frowned as soon as he tasted the food. This food was awful. He much preferred the dishes that Amara and Ruby had been making from Earth recipes. He was just glad they found those old books that mentioned how to make such good food.
Looking at Ruby with a disgusted expression, he said,
"Ruby, honestly, I don’t know how you’ve perfected all of those foods you’ve made for me lately. But this food is bland and tastes like crap. The cheeseburgers you made on our date were perfect and spiced just right. You and Amara must have to do a large amount of testing to get these foods just right."
Amara heard this and smiled as she responded to Fate,
"Honey, it’s no trouble to make your favorite foods. Sure, we go through a good number of test subjects making it, but it’s all in the name of love." ƒreewebηoveℓ.com
Fate ignored the fact that they seemed to know his favorite food and just looked at Ruby with a questioning look. Recognizing this look, she pulled out a boxed meal for Fate to enjoy.
Amara then produced several drinks for her husband to enjoy. To the dismay of their guests, the three of them began eating their own food, completely ignoring the expensive meal that Nimrod had paid for.
This made Nimrod furious. How dare they eat their own food in front of him! That food looked foreign and disgusting as well.
Nimrod glanced at Mary Jane Dawson, and even she was grossed out by this strange food. Seeing this made Nimrod feel better; at least he knew that his own food tasted the best.
Nimrod knew all about Mary Jane—she was a true specimen of a woman and everything he could want in a virtuous and sweet wife. Not so much of a shrew like Kathy, the woman Nimrod would have to take as his first wife. But don’t get him wrong; he was still deeply in love with Kathy despite her personality. Mary Jane was just much more agreeable. Kathy just needed to stop asking him for money.
At this moment, Count Victor Dupont took the opportunity to tap his knife on his glass made from precious gems.

With a serious face, Count Victor Dupont looked at the gathered nobles and spoke in a grave tone,
"Thank you to everyone gathered here today for coming. As all of you are aware, the church has declared Duke Fate Grimsever an abomination and ordered him to be killed on sight if possible. Nimrod stood up at this totally not pre-rehearsed moment and said in support of Count Victor Dupont,
"That’s right, Duke Victor Dupont. My father will now entrust this territory to you to handle in his name. No longer will the wealthy and nobles of this city live in fear of the Fate Grimsever Tax Collection and Inspection Department. These three individuals, with the recent addition of that skinny bodybuilder Sprout, have been illegally taking money from everyone present here and giving it to the homeless and disenfranchised. A disgusting habit that goes against everything that noble etiquette stands for. Today, the combined armies of all the nobles are marching on this city to eliminate this scourge from our lands."
Everyone began to applaud these speeches as both Nimrod and the new Duke Victor Dupont bowed to the surrounding nobles.
They all condemned Fate and issued a call to action for him to be taken into custody using the army they had gathered.
Nimrod knew that not even Ruby and Amara, as formidable as they are, could fight off an army by themselves.
But why would they? Both of them are in love with him, after all. So, if anything, they will help take Fate into custody today.
While all this grandstanding was going on, none of these idiots noticed that Fate hadn’t said a thing the entire time.
Out of curiosity, they all looked at him and saw he was busy flirting with Ruby and Amara while eating his strange food.
Seeing everyone looking at him, Fate suddenly looked at them with a look of surprise and said,
"What? Did you say something? I was busy enjoying my food. Discussions happen after we eat. Everyone knows it’s bad manners to talk with your mouth full of food."
Ruby smiled in happiness. Her husband loved their food so much that he completely missed all of these nobles saying they wanted to rebel against him.
This was all according to Ruby and Amara’s plan, after all. Why burden Fate with unnecessary information?
Nimrod looked at Fate and shook with anger as he pointed his finger at him and said,
"What do you mean, ’Did we say something?’ Have you not been listening this entire meal?"
Fate looked at Ruby and Amara, who shook their heads with questioning looks on their faces. Seeing that neither Amara nor Ruby had heard anything either, Fate looked at Nimrod and said,
"Well, whatever you said, it must not have been that important anyway if my wives didn’t hear it. After all, Ruby and Amara handle all of my affairs for me, so if they didn’t think it was important, then it must have been nonsense as usual."
Nimrod shook from the revelation that Ruby and Amara were the ones who managed this entire territory.
How was this possible? Nimrod had never heard about this detail from anyone before. If that’s the case, then everything they accused Fate of was actually done under the direction of these two women.
The thought of all the men who go missing in Valoria and all of the murders that have been happening lately being ordered by these two women made Nimrod begin to shake with fear.
What kind of women did that idiot Fate let into his home? Nimrod no longer wanted these two death dealers for himself; instead, they are better off dead with Fate before they kill him too.
