Chapter 93: Alone [8]

Oscar looked at Asher and then said, "Enough talking. I like talking with my fists more."

A layer of stone manifested over Oscar’s arm, and he started charging toward Asher at a frightening speed.

Asher merely looked at the approaching figure of Oscar before glancing toward the sky and muttering, "Today’s weather is really good."

Oscar was at the Gold 3-Star rank, yet Asher was ignoring him and admiring the beauty of nature. This behavior only made Oscar even angrier. The next moment, he was already in front of Asher, his fist just inches away from Asher’s ugly face.

But before Oscar’s fist could land on Asher, Asher simply vanished from his position and reappeared one meter above Oscar’s head. Then, while falling, he performed a downward kick aimed at Oscar’s head.

However, Oscar reacted quickly. Before Asher’s kick could gain enough momentum and land on his head, he turned toward Asher and blocked the attack with his arms, which were covered in a layer of stone.

A dull thud echoed through the area as Asher’s kick collided with Oscar’s stone-covered arms.

The force behind the attack pushed Oscar several steps backward, leaving deep footprints on the ground. Cracks spread across the stone layer covering his arms, but it did not completely shatter.

Oscar’s eyes widened slightly. He had expected Asher’s leg to break upon impact, but nothing of the sort happened. Instead, it was his own stone layer that was covered in cracks.

Then he looked closely at Asher’s foot and noticed that it wasn’t even touching his arm. A thick layer of mana surrounded Asher’s leg, and somehow that layer was sturdier than his stone armor.

Asher’s face remained calm, devoid of any emotion.

But before Oscar could think any further, Asher jumped, and his other leg was already in motion, delivering a kick toward the side of Oscar’s head.

Oscar discarded every distracting thought and focused entirely on the fight.

He blocked Asher’s kick again with one arm, but once more, it was his stone layer that cracked rather than Asher’s mana coating.

That mana layer was far too dense and seemed to consist of countless compressed layers.

After blocking the kick, Oscar immediately counterattacked. With his other arm, he threw a punch toward Asher’s torso while Asher was still airborne.

He expected Asher to teleport away and dodge the attack, but to his surprise, Asher did not teleport. Instead, he raised both arms and crossed them in front of his torso, attempting to block the incoming punch.

Oscar was surprised by this, but he didn’t let down his guard and continued his attack.

His fist connected with Asher’s arms—and yet it didn’t.

Rather than striking flesh, his fist collided with something hard: the dense layer of mana surrounding Asher.

The moment the attack connected, Asher was sent flying toward a cluster of nearby trees.

Oscar stared in confusion and muttered, "What is the meaning of this?"

However, before Asher could collide with the trees, he vanished in midair and reappeared directly above Oscar.

Being a werewolf and possessing senses far superior to most species, Oscar immediately noticed Asher’s presence and raised his arms to defend himself.

Asher descended with frightening speed, using both the momentum from Oscar’s punch and gravity itself to strengthen his attack.

Then he unleashed another downward kick.

The instant Asher’s kick collided with Oscar’s crossed arms, a thunderous boom echoed throughout the forest.

The ground beneath Oscar’s feet shattered as he was forced onto his knees.

Blood trickled down his arms, and the stone layer covering them finally broke apart.

By the time Oscar looked up, Asher had already teleported away.

Standing several meters from the point of collision, Asher calmly observed Oscar’s kneeling figure, his expression as indifferent as ever.

Oscar looked at Asher and muttered, "You are not even taking me seriously. Do I look like a joke to you?" fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

But Asher simply continued looking at him without saying anything, his expression remaining indifferent.

Oscar then roared, and his body began transforming into a wolf standing on two legs at a height of three meters. His bleeding stopped, and his injuries healed rapidly.

Oscar looked at Asher, hoping to see some change in his expression after witnessing his transformation from a half-human, half-wolf into a full wolf.

However, Asher’s expression remained indifferent, as if the transformation meant nothing to him and he could still defeat Oscar with ease.

Oscar then charged toward Asher at a frightening speed and immediately began attacking with his sharp claws. Asher responded instantly with his mana blades as soon as Oscar closed the distance.

They continued exchanging strike after strike. After some time, cracks began appearing on Oscar’s sharp claws. Asher’s mana blades also developed cracks, but they recovered instantly.

In the end, Oscar’s claws broke, while Asher’s mana blades remained in perfect condition.

Oscar then switched to attacking with kicks and punches.

Asher dissolved his mana blades and coated his hands and legs with mana.

Once again, they began exchanging blows with their fists and legs. Asher kept teleporting between exchanges and landed strikes whenever he found an opening. However, every injury Oscar suffered healed rapidly due to the superior regeneration granted by his transformation.

They continued fighting for half an hour. Asher’s bracelet started revealing his location, but none of the remaining students approached him this time.

As the battle dragged on, injuries continued to accumulate across Oscar’s body. Eventually, his body stopped healing on its own due to the loss of mana.

Meanwhile, Asher did not look tired in the slightest, nor did he appear low on mana. He still had nearly half of his mana remaining because his mana barrier had suffered little damage. Furthermore, he had stopped using teleportation once Oscar’s speed became manageable enough for him to dodge easily.

The main reason he still had half of his mana left was that his recovery rate was enhanced by absorbing mana from the surrounding environment.

Oscar staggered backward and blood kept dripping from the wounds covering his body.
