Chapter 434: Chapter 139: The World Is a Prison (Part 2)
They have never seen the world outside the prison, in their eyes, the world is the prison.
And the Ying Family is the most mysterious and powerful existence they can come into contact with.
"Alright, go accompany Wen An, I’m getting old." Huo Canghai reached out and petted the head of the hunting dog Bobbi, he said, "Little girl, you’re the one Wen An has chosen as his wife, which makes you the future mistress of Divine Concealment Island, the Lady Captain of the Huo Family."
"To pilot is to be a captain, a guide. If you and Wen An really end up dealing with the Divine Martial Realm in the future, then just go for it. I’m old and won’t interfere with you youngsters’ decisions anymore."
"In the Huo Family, piloting is our goal moving forward."
With that, Huo Canghai called the hound, "Bobbi, let’s go hunting." He took Bobbi by the leash, sitting in his wheelchair as he headed towards the hill by the sea.
On that hill covered in azaleas, there are many wild rabbits and sea birds, a paradise for Bobbi to roam free.
Bobbi walked a bit and then turned to sneak a glance at Xu Xingguang.
Seeing Xu Xingguang still standing there, it instinctively clamped its tail even tighter.
Huo Canghai smacked its backside, scolding, "You good-for-nothing, do you think she’d eat you?"
Bobbi let out a protesting whimper, its tail still tightly clamped.
Xu Xingguang returned to the palace, heading to Huo Wen’an’s room on the second floor, meeting Belial coming downstairs in the spiraling staircase. Belial said to her, "Miss Xu, the captain just woke up and is asking for you."
"I’ll head over right away."
"Hey."
The bedroom door was open, Huo Wen’an was already out of bed, sitting in a sofa chair by the window, holding his phone to text Xu Xingguang. Andariel was helping him arrange the wheelchair, telling him, "Xingguang went down earlier, I’ll take you to find him right away."
After saying that, Andariel laughed at herself, teasing Huo Wen’an, "You’re like a child not yet weaned, getting panicked when away from Xingguang, aren’t you?"
Huo Wen’an blushed at Andariel’s teasing.
He said, "I just... don’t feel at ease about her."
"Moon Palace is your parents’ home, you think your Xingguang would get lost here?"
The usually sharp-tongued Huo Wen’an found himself at a loss for words.
Ding dong.
It was Xu Xingguang’s phone ringing.
She unlocked her phone to see Huo Wen’an’s message: [Where are you?]
Huo Wen’an and Andariel heard the message notification sound and turned simultaneously towards the bedroom door.
Seeing Xu Xingguang, Andariel covered her mouth laughing, "Xingguang, glad you’re back, I was just about to take Little Wen’an to find you."
"Mom." Huo Wen’an was slightly embarrassed.
Andariel quickly apologized, "I’m sorry, sorry, it was my mouth that said the wrong thing."
With a sly smile, Andariel said, "You guys chat, I won’t be the third wheel. You haven’t eaten yet, right? I’ve had the kitchen make some food; it should be ready soon."
"Get ready, you should head downstairs to eat soon too."
Andariel left first, patting Xu Xingguang on the shoulder as she passed the door, saying, "Wen’an looks a bit pale, seems unwell."
"Alright, I’ll keep an eye on it."
After Andariel left, Xu Xingguang came to Huo Wen’an, half-squatted down, pinching his chin to examine him carefully. She nodded, saying, "You do look quite pale, what made you suddenly faint earlier?"
Huo Wen’an couldn’t figure it out himself.
He said, "I was staring at your back, and suddenly my vision went black. When I woke up, I found we were already back at Moon Palace." Huo Wen’an wasn’t sure what happened, and he asked Xu Xingguang, "Could it be that something’s wrong with my body again?"
Xu Xingguang shook her head, giving him reassurance, "It’s not a problem with your body. I know your condition inside out."
"Did you feel anything else while you were unconscious?"
Since Xu Xingguang asked so meticulously, Huo Wen’an didn’t want to be perfunctory. He thought carefully before saying, "Before I passed out, I distinctly felt a very domineering, strange energy rampaging inside me. I didn’t even have a chance to suppress it before it knocked me out cold."
"I see."
"What’s wrong?" Huo Wen’an furrowed his brows slightly, feeling anxious, "Is it that the virus in my body hasn’t been completely eliminated yet?"
"No, it’s probably just the after-effects."
Noticing Xu Xingguang’s heavy thoughts, Huo Wen’an asked her, "Is there something I don’t know that’s troubling you?" Huo Wen’an, never one to mince words, asked straightforwardly when he sensed something wrong with Xu Xingguang.
