Chapter 431: Chapter 433: The Self-Repairing Mirror

The scar-faced male ghost swallowed hard. He’d been found out. This monster definitely wouldn’t let him go, so he turned and fled.

Su Nian couldn’t be bothered with him. She slowly, unhurriedly turned to look at the other ghosts.

Although the other ghosts still looked dazed and clueless, they clearly sensed Su Nian’s mood. Their movements slowed, and they couldn’t help but inch backward.

’This psycho really kills. If I’m careful, maybe I can still get away. But if I just stand here frozen, it’s game over for sure.’

The surrounding ghosts began to scatter. A single glance from Su Nian sent them into a panic. Then, she turned her head again to look at the scar-faced male ghost, who was already running into the distance.

Humming a song, she leisurely strolled toward him, dragging the white-clothed female ghost and the red-faced female ghost along.

As Su Nian walked, dragging the ghosts, her pace was exceedingly slow, yet it projected an immense, suffocating pressure.

The fleeing scar-faced male ghost felt this pressure acutely. He was in a total panic, constantly twisting his head back to see where Su Nian was, his heart pounding with terror.

He was genuinely afraid Su Nian would kill him. After all, in all his time as a ghost, he had never seen a psycho like her.

’Forget just killing me,’ he thought. ’It would be perfectly normal for her to slaughter this entire nest of ghosts.’

With that thought, he ran even faster, trembling all over. He kept frantically looking back at Su Nian as he fled.

He was terrified Su Nian would catch up to him at any moment. But then, Su Nian suddenly yanked up the white-clothed female ghost and hurled her toward him.

The white-clothed female ghost flew through the air like a white net flung by Su Nian. Thanks to her long, elastic hair, she felt no discomfort from being thrown and successfully ensnared the scar-faced male ghost.

Just then, the gecko ghost, which had been hiding all this time, could no longer restrain itself.

It already held a deep grudge against Su Nian, and now it swiped a claw down at her.

The claw stirred up a gust of wind as it lunged for Su Nian, but its sharp talons never made contact. Instead, its tattered claw was suddenly and firmly caught in Su Nian’s hand.

Her grip blocked its attack. Not only that, but the gecko ghost felt as if its hand had been detached from its body—the pain gave way to a terrifying numbness. It refused to believe it and tried to wrench its hand free, only to make a horrifying discovery.

Its hand seemed fused to Su Nian’s, utterly immobile. It looked up in terror and saw Su Nian break into a smile.

"I knew there was something off about you. And now you’ve come to serve yourself up on a platter. What a happy coincidence."

Su Nian grabbed it and prepared to throw it into the mirror.

The moment she’d found the mirror, Su Nian had sensed something was off. It was the only new object to have appeared in the park.

The mirror gave off an unusual aura.

Su Nian was certain she hadn’t seen any mirror when the wooden cabin was destroyed, yet the Mirror Ghost had appeared from it out of nowhere.

Su Nian strongly suspected there had to be some kind of channel here, a passage leading to the outside world.

Ever since being caught, the gecko ghost had been panicking nonstop. This wasn’t the first time it had been captured like this.

When it was alive, people had found it repulsive. Its death, in particular, had been excruciatingly painful.

But even then, it hadn’t felt the same level of terror as it did now. Squeezed in Su Nian’s grip, a chill ran through its body as cold sweat poured down. It grit its teeth.

’Fine, I’ll just abandon this hand!’ It threw its body in the opposite direction, planning to leave the limb in Su Nian’s grasp.

’This is just my bad luck!’

’Even if it means losing a hand, I have to escape. Permanently losing a hand is awful, but it’s nothing compared to my life.’

’It was a miracle I even survived to become a ghost. If she gets a hold of me, I’m dead for sure.’

But without even moving her feet, Su Nian swung her free hand and slapped it across the face. The gecko ghost was sent tumbling to the ground. As it fell, its face hit the dirt and it bit its tongue.

Its already sticky and disgusting face twisted into a featureless mask of pain. It took a long moment to recover, only to turn its head and see Su Nian holding a massive rock.

Remembering how it had been smashed flat before, the ghost was terrified and tried to bolt, but Su Nian grabbed it again. She had said she would throw it in the mirror, and she meant it. Su Nian was not one to mince words.

Because it had tried to turn and run, Su Nian yanked its arm. With a sickening tearing sound, the limb nearly ripped off. The crisp crack of bone followed, and the gecko ghost shrieked in agony.

But it was still determined to abandon its arm. It never expected Su Nian to be so quick; she grabbed hold of its body in an instant.

Utterly impatient now, she ripped out a handful of the white-clothed female ghost’s hair, tied the gecko ghost up in a few deft movements, and then went back to chasing the distant scar-faced male ghost.

The scar-faced male ghost was still tangled up by the white-clothed female ghost Su Nian had thrown earlier. Originally, the white-clothed female ghost hadn’t wanted to submit either.

But the more she witnessed, the more terrified she became. ’This woman is just too twisted,’ she thought. ’If I actually betray her, I’m not sure I’ll make it out of here alive.’

After all, she had watched with her own eyes as everyone who refused to follow Su Nian died, one by one.

Her own power was already a cut above the scar-faced male ghost’s. Now, using every ounce of her strength, she managed to hold him in place.

She forced a trembling smile. "Boss, I’ve got him!"

Su Nian gave her an appreciative glance and nodded, but her gaze then fell upon the gecko ghost.

She walked up to the mirror. Much of it had just been smashed, and only about a third of it remained stuck to the wall.

However, the mirror was quite large, so even with so much of it shattered, it could still reflect half of Su Nian’s body.

Su Nian looked at the black hole in the center of the mirror and, without a second thought, shoved the ghost into it.

The gecko ghost’s eyes widened in horror, but before it could even realize what was happening, Su Nian was shoving its entire body toward that pitch-black spot.

But the impact and pain it expected never came. It was as if it had entered a strange place, enveloped in warmth.

Su Nian, however, witnessed a far more horrifying scene from the outside. The gecko ghost, with its sticky skin, was shoved inside. Though its body had been smashed flat by a rock, it was still somewhat pliable. But the moment it entered the mirror, it was bizarrely and suddenly sucked dry. It shriveled up, then gradually vanished before her eyes.

Even more bizarrely, a piece of the broken mirror actually repaired itself.

The shattered glass shards slowly, gradually began to mend, moving as if they were alive. Like a film playing in reverse, they followed their original trajectories and reattached themselves to the wall.

Su Nian watched a piece of glass in the corner. It floated gently, as if alive, but the process wasn’t over.

Instead, it slowly sealed itself from within, restoring that corner to its original state.

This eerie spectacle startled every ghost present. And now, it was the scar-faced male ghost’s turn.
