Su Nian clicked her tongue in disgust. "I’ve barely done anything, and you’re already about to fall apart? So useless!"
Su Nian strode forward and landed another slap. The Scarface Ghost immediately let out a pained shriek, and Su Nian could clearly feel he was much weaker than before.
She wasn’t concerned, though. No matter its strength, she could crush it with ease.
The Scarface Ghost was so badly beaten by Su Nian that its very soul was on the verge of dissipating, yet it still hadn’t made a move.
The beating was so painful that the ghost was still completely dazed.
’Who am I? Where am I?’
After a moment, it finally registered in its daze that this pretty little snack wasn’t food delivering itself to the front door.
No, she was here to beat it up. The ghost grew vicious, consoling itself internally. ’I was just caught off guard.’
’I still have a chance.’ It lunged, grabbing Su Nian, intending to teach this pretty little snack a lesson before devouring her.
In the next moment, it understood.
Fantasy is a beautiful thing, but reality was something it couldn’t contend with.
Su Nian slapped it right across the face.
"What are you thinking about, moron?"
Su Nian’s insults were vile, and her strength was immense. The male ghost grimaced in pain from her blows.
The chunks of flesh all over its body began to tremble frantically, and it looked as if the skin on its face was about to peel off.
"This is just too ugly!"
Utterly disgusted, Su Nian grabbed the female ghost in white lying at her feet.
She started using the long hair of the female ghost in white to wrap around the Scarface Ghost.
The Scarface Ghost tried to escape, but Su Nian ruthlessly kicked it over. As it fell to the ground, Su Nian seized the opportunity, planting one foot on its face and the other on its stomach.
Su Nian’s hands kept busy, winding the hair of the female ghost in white around the Scarface Ghost.
Watching Su Nian’s face loom ever closer, the Scarface Ghost couldn’t help but let out a shriek.
The female ghost in white shrieked at the same time, "My hair is expensive! Don’t use it to tie up this filthy thing!"
Su Nian paused at her words.
The Scarface Ghost, however, froze completely. It wasn’t doing well at all.
This was the woman who had killed him. She was the reason he had been so timid, hiding away on the grounds.
He never expected her to show up here. Now, the way he looked at Su Nian was completely different.
He gulped. Seizing the opportunity of Su Nian’s pause, he immediately began to act. The chunks of flesh all over his body instantly started to come apart.
When he died, he’d been hacked into pieces of flesh, one after another.
After becoming a ghost, his spirit maintained its appearance from before death—shattered into countless pieces.
But as a ghost, he was undying and indestructible. Although his body was just a collection of fleshy chunks, he could reassemble it at will.
He used to love relying on this trick to scare people and had killed quite a few with it.
He was certain that Su Nian and the female ghost in white wouldn’t be able to counter this move.
’This was the very move that let me escape the female ghost in white time and again when she came after me, wasn’t it?’
Thousands of chunks of flesh began to squirm across the ground. Su Nian, still holding the female ghost in white, stood motionless with her head lowered, seemingly at a loss.
The Scarface Ghost’s face twisted into a triumphant smirk. ’See? My method works best. Now no one can get a hold of me.’
The chunks of flesh began to scatter, moving frantically in all different directions.
But Su Nian just smiled. "It’s fine. If I can’t catch you, I’ll just kill you instead. Wouldn’t that solve the problem?"
Su Nian took out a box of matches, struck one lightly against the box, and tossed it to the ground.
The chunks of flesh squirmed even more frantically, trying to piece themselves together into a person and escape this place.
’This is terrifying. Have humans these days really evolved to this level?’
He desperately tried to surge forward, but Su Nian was faster. A single matchstick fluttered to the ground.
Although the Scarface Ghost was already dead, he could still feel pain. He shrieked as he burned. The terrifying flames indeed grew larger, and a significant number of his fleshy chunks were already scorched.
He frantically tried to put out the fire. If these pieces of flesh were burned, they would be gone for good!
He wanted to reassemble his body first, but because of the delay, some pieces of flesh were completely burnt to a crisp before they could be pieced together.
A foul stench filled the air, and several patches on the Scarface Ghost’s face were now burnt black.
His face had already been ugly and terrifying; now, it was utterly disgusting and grotesque.
The Scarface Ghost’s lips twitched as if to say something, but no words came out. Barely managing to piece his body together, his first move was to turn and run.
’This woman is too terrifying. How can a normal person be like this? Today is just my unlucky day.’
’But as long as I can get back onto the grounds and shut the gate, I should be fine, right?’
But a second later, he realized he was wrong. Su Nian was somehow already standing in front of him.
Like a psychopathic killer, she revealed an impatient smile.
"Jeez, what’s with all the running? We’re not done playing yet!"
The next second, Su Nian hoisted up the dazed female ghost in white and the female ghost with the big mouth from where they lay on the ground.
Su Nian twisted the two ghosts together, binding them tightly. Then, she hoisted them up like a giant log and charged.
By holding them horizontally, their combined length increased significantly. Su Nian charged from behind, aiming the two ghosts’ heads straight at the Scarface Ghost.
The immense impact shattered the Scarface Ghost’s body into pieces all over the ground once again.
He barely managed to piece his head back together, utterly panicked.
’What kind of devil is she?’
’She’s insane! Absolutely insane!’
He had to run, now! Turning, he decided to abandon the rest of his body parts. All he needed was his head.
He fled frantically, his scattered chunks of flesh tumbling and rolling after him.
He was beyond nervous. ’Can I really get out of here alive?’
Reality’s answer was no.
Somehow, Su Nian had already lit another match and was standing up ahead, waiting for him.
The flesh on the Scarface Ghost’s face trembled. He took another look around.
"Can I surrender already? I was wrong! My mistake was breathing in the first place!"
He babbled incoherently, his body trembling. He was out of options.
Su Nian nodded, satisfied. ’At least he’s got some sense.’
She was clearly satisfied with his gesture, but the motion of her hands didn’t pause in the slightest.
"Then get in here yourself!"
Su Nian looked at his body with some disdain. ’It’s all sticky and gooey. Can’t be used as a weapon.’
’I guess he can only be a projectile.’ Su Nian held open her small blazer. Cowering inside, the ghost in the suit and the old woman ghost revealed incredibly awkward expressions.
They had been hiding inside, feeling quite pleased with themselves and grateful they hadn’t suffered such abuse.
They were feeling smug, the smiles not yet gone from their faces, when they came face-to-face with the newest victim.
Awkwardness filled the air, but both ghosts had been through a lot. After sharing an awkward laugh, they even amicably made room for the Scarface Ghost.
The sheer shamelessness of the two ghosts completely astounded the Scarface Ghost. He took a deep breath, but before he could even ask them why they were here...
But the next moment, his mind cleared.
’Why else would they be here? It couldn’t possibly be voluntary, could it?’
’Look at the suit-wearing ghost, who didn’t even have clothes on his back, and that old woman’s dusty, grimy face.’
Su Nian quickly bundled up the three ghosts. ’Utterly disgusted. Not a single one is useful!’
The next second, her gaze fell upon the female ghost with the big mouth and the female ghost in white. ’These two are still useful.’ The two female ghosts shivered in unison.
