Chapter 405: Chapter 407: Horror Park
"Look at me! I’m the one who truly loves you. All those times I hit you before? That was just to get your attention!"
The greasy, cringy pickup line made Su Nian’s skin crawl.
’This ghost is really shameless. Did it figure out that bullying me wasn’t working, so now it’s trying to gross me out with this emotional garbage?’
But Su Nian wasn’t some love-struck fool. She was a living, breathing person. She wasn’t a masochist who would fall for someone who hit her for no reason.
If there was one thing Su Nian hated, it was phoniness. She had always been a direct, no-nonsense person.
Whatever these people were planning today, Su Nian had only one goal: take them out.
She smiled, but her eyes were filled with malice.
She advanced step by step, walking toward the boys who were still striking all sorts of cringy poses.
But before she could reach the boy at the front, her consciousness was yanked from the scene. When she opened her eyes again, she was back on the bus.
This time, the bus was completely empty.
Silence returned to her surroundings. It was as if every single person in the entire world had vanished.
Su Nian frowned. She looked around, wanting to get off, but the bus doors were locked tight.
But that didn’t matter. It wouldn’t be enough to stop her.
Su Nian slammed her fist into the door, and a crack appeared. With a second punch, the crack grew wider.
The strange entity watching from the shadows couldn’t take it anymore and floated out.
"Alright, alright, that’s enough!"
"You’re not from this world. Why are you here wreaking havoc?"
The speaker was a strange, floating black mist.
Su Nian was about to fire back at the immediate accusation, but then something occurred to her.
’It knows I’m not from this world.’
’The only one that could say something like that would have to be the Heavenly Dao. Only the Heavenly Dao could sense that something was off about me.’
But Su Nian just sneered. "And what does that have to do with you?"
The black mist trembled. This world was following its intended course of development, which was to transform from a normal world into a world of ghosts.
This was its designated evolutionary path. As for the humans?
They could just die!
As the supreme Heavenly Dao, it naturally couldn’t be bothered with the lives and deaths of mere humans. If they died, new ones would take their place. What was so special about them?
Su Nian was in no mood to listen to its grand theories. As it droned on, she grew impatient.
"I just want to go home. What’s so wrong with that?"
The Heavenly Dao was furious, but it was powerless against this person. It took a deep breath—and though it was just a cloud of black mist, its rage was palpable.
In an instant, it swelled to ten times its size, filling the entire bus.
"I have a mission for you. If you can survive it, I’ll send you back to your original world."
"If you don’t survive, then you can just die along with everyone else in this world!"
With that, the Heavenly Dao vanished. Su Nian’s surroundings returned to normal once more, and she found herself back in her home.
She wasn’t livestreaming. Time had rewound to the very second before she was about to start.
This time, Su Nian hadn’t started the stream yet. Her finger had just begun to tap the screen when she saw the page on her phone change.
It no longer said "Go Live," but "Begin Mission."
Su Nian could clearly read the words on the screen.
Mission 1: Horror Park. Confirm to begin?
