Walker read the skill description out loud only focusing on the changes. He saw Remey snap her head around to see what Walker was talking about. She had just broken the shell of a few more monsters but was much more interested in seeing what the skill had become.
Knowing this, Walker activated the portable alchemy lab skill causing a flash of alchemy fire.
It felt more like a forge had appeared since the ambient alchemy flames seemed to radiate around the area. This was the alchemy fire resonating and protecting the space while also showing the natural enhancement of the entire area. It was perfect for when someone would seal away the potions in a vial so that nothing would be lost on quality as it happened.
Remey seemed to be much more interested and energetic than before since alchemy was a passion she held for so long. But more so, because she could sense the changes in what she was looking at.
The feeling of alchemy flames around would have been perfect for any normal alchemist. This was because they did not normally have the ability to call on alchemy flames and use them. Therefore, they would be able to have a better alchemy creation process while working in this environment.
For Remey who could use alchemy flames whenever she wished, this was a way to preserve mana and make more potions consistently. It would also enhance the quality of her potions since she would be able to put more focus on the process itself.
Then again, she also had to convince Walker to let her use the skill while she was around. She would need him to use it since she didn’t have the same skill with the same mana saved within. "Walker! Attach that skill space to me, just like you did with this mini fire elemental plane. It’s the price you have to pay for having me pull it with me."
She was instantly trying to convince Walker to do this since she was sure that it was possible. Especially since she had seen how he was able to connect spatial mana and fire mana together to her and allow her to exchange the manas as she needed or wished to do.
"How about you both stop messing around and deal with that later!" The reprimand from Su snapped the tow back in to focus as they saw several monsters trying to escape. Walker easily used some mana to stop their movements while Remey broke their shells and left their bodies to be stored away.
While they were small parasites to elemental planes, in Genesis, their shells would be valuable as material to craft with. It was perfect for those projects that needed more purified and focused fire mana. Especially since these monsters were only ever eating the purer fire manas form the elemental planes that they harmed.
After a few moments of cleaning up and Walker realizing that he actually felt pretty invigorated, Walker realized it was because he had managed to absorb some of the mana in to his body overall. It was helping him better understand the skill he enhanced and also the fact that existence itself has reacted to the enhancement and not the will of the world.
This proved even more that existence and the system that encompassed all things was more likely attached together because they were the same parts of the overall whole.
Or at least that was his theory. If existence was this large, then he would need to consider just what strength and power truly was. Especially if the origin race members were traveling in to the unknown.
Who was to say that there weren’t more worlds or elemental planes out there?
Just as this thought came to him, Walker heard Remey and Su talking about how the skill enhancement that Walker used hadn’t been used for over a thousand years. Proving that some methods of skill enhancements might be so unique and hard to obtain that it was normal for it to take multiple generations to achieve.
This wasn’t even considering the very fact that someone would have to even know how to accomplish such an enhancement. Let alone be able to actually pull it off!
"We need to find more ways to enhance skill and make them better. It might be the best way for some people to change the path of their lives. Some people might even be able to make their classes grow and change if they are able to enhance a skill." Su’s enthusiasm was being matched by Remey who wanted to see just what else could be enhanced. They hadn’t tried to improve their skills at a foundational level before.
The party always tried to improve themselves through skill and control, they worked hard for those things too. But where they might be missing a piece of the overall puzzle was trying to enhance the skills themselves to new levels.
It should be obvious since they had changed their skills to become better but never a pure enhancement of an already existing skill.
Walker’s mana manipulation had gotten to the point where he could sense and begin to manipulate pure manas that were the core of what a mana should be. But he has yet to delve in to that properly due to his growth needing to be more stable in his position. This left him at a standstill.
But, if he managed to increase his understanding of the skill and enhance it without changing the skill at all, then he might see things he couldn’t before. He might even consider new forms of that mana and the ways that they are moving and being processed. He might even realize flaws in his mana senses and manipulation that he never realized before today.
"Stop getting caught in your own head. I need to know what you learned from dissipating and absorbing that elemental plane. Can you make a dungeon so I can relax a bit?"
Remey was fair to be annoyed that Walker was clearly drifting off in to thought about other things. She knew that if she didn’t keep him partially focused that there would be a greater and longer term strain on her because she was carrying the mini elemental plane with her.
She didn’t hate the feeling, but she also didn’t like it. she didn’t want to carry it forever while they experimented and struggled to reach a solution. But she also didn’t want to leave it behind since they had put so much effort in to it. They needed to do something sooner than later.
"We can worry about that later, I want to know what that is." When Su took notice of the drifting white light in the distance, the other two also focused and wondered. It was too perfect and too organized while moving through the area before getting further and further away.
"You got an appraisal, right?" Su was sure that Walker could with better eyesight and the skills to enhance his eyesight too. She understood he had the ability.
"I did but I don’t know if I should read it all out. That was a lot of information at once." His eyes twitched showing the strain on him. He had appraised the light moving when he had seen it since he did that often instinctively now. It was a habit that became part of who he was. He only ever held off on appraisals when he knew that he could handle the situation with or without the appraisal itself.
"It was a dragon, I know that." Remey and Syuu both sense that. They weren’t sure if it was just the dragon aspects of their race now or not, but they knew it.
"It was a dragon, but one that was much stronger and older than any dragon alive in the world or even the elemental planes." Walker looked in to the distance again trying to gather his wits before explaining.
