It was true that he had used the mana from other sources to improve and create aspatial storages. That was the key to the multi dimensional storage skill after all. But he also possessed the understanding to make that happen.
The fact that he had the portable forge skill, the portable alchemy lab skill, and also a portable healing tent skill was also very important knowledge to make this happen too.
While the elemental plane that they had come from was already being consumed by some small parasitic monsters, it would not last as long as the all around appraisal believed it would. Besides this, it also made it clearer to Walker that he could have the ability to do something with all that mana.
Materials, monsters, herbs, and whatever else was developing within this elemental plane did not have a chance. It was mostly abandoned and decrepit by comparison to one elemental plane.
"I should be able to get an appraisal on the monsters consuming it from the inside out, so you two will need to handle them. As soon as I start to pull away the food that they have to come out and try to handle the ones causing it. They might attack us, or they might try to flee. But if they are causing issues here if they flee they will be a problem to other elemental planes."
While Walker knew that other abandoned elemental planes would come to exist, it would be better to let their mana to dissipate naturally than to feed parasites that might target elemental planes that are developing well and not abandoned.
Not to mention that there were plenty of monsters like this. They would surely not be a small species without plenty of members. It was just logical that there would be many varieties and numerous members of their species attempting to pursue food like this.
A small fluctuation in mana appeared from what Walker and Remey could track. Remey had noticed a fraction of a second sooner than Walker but Walker had managed to get the apprisal for Remey.
"They have shells and needle like heads, I don’t want to tolerate those things." Remey was sure that they were gross looking monsters that should be dealt with quickly and with the strongest punches she could manage.
"You are alright with fighting right now?" The worry made Remey shake her head to stave off Su’s worries. She knew that Su would be close to her anyways so even if it was tougher she would be in a good position.
’Flame drilling centipede
These monsters use the dense fire elemental materials they consume from fire elemental planes to protect themselves while they travel between smaller forming fire elemental planes. They are pests that are best considered impossible to entirely eradicate since they will lay eggs upon their death to keep their species surviving in dormancy.
They often hatch once they are exposed to fire mana and then will track the source of it. Once there they use the three sharp piercers on their heads to break in to a fire elemental plane and begin to consume the mana. If they can, they will dig inside of it and breed until all the fire mana is consumed and no materials remain.
They are not the only form that their species takes due to their varying various elemental manas. However, the fire variant of their species is considered the most violent since they will even consume one another once the fire mana begins to thin out. This reaction is often why more eggs are left dormant than not for the fire variant...’
Su and Remey took the appraisal information from Walker and prepared themselves to crack these tough shells if they decided to fight. However, the two also understood that Walker had gotten them information that could make this easier.
"Once he starts to take the mana, they will start to fight one another first. That should make it easier for us to handle the stragglers. They aren’t natural run aways in fear sort of monsters. They are fighting without thought." Su knew that it worked in her favor since she could use her shields to keep them better contained while Remey would handle the injured ones faster.
They would make the perfect team to handle these little monsters trying to steal away the very life of this fire elemental plane.
"Perfect, then I will start to drag in the alchemy flame mana and see if I can actually link it in the way we are experimenting with." frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
As Walker did this, he found the mana moving extremely efficiently. He could tell that was because he had just delved more in to elemental planes than he ever had. It would be beneficial to him and his goals and methods of mana manipulation overall.
He was also seeing the differences in quality of mana, this alchemy fire mana was much weaker because it had been dissipating for a long time now. That also made moving it easier.
When the mana was absorbed, he found that it was an easier task to store it and began to use some space mana to create a storage. But even without his intent, the storage skill for the portable alchemy lab activated and the space he had created with that skill appeared around him.
This was not what he expected or intended and realized that it might be the fact that alchemy flames themselves were in abundance. The skill was naturally beneficial to this attempt to the point that it was an instinctual and natural event for the skill to activate even without Walker’s express desire.
The alchemy flames were being drawn in to more than just the furnace and fire aspects of the portable alchemy lab skill. The tools and other parts that came together to make the skill possible were absorbing it. There was also the fact that the space mana attached to the skill was taking in the alchemy fire mana. Allowing for the bonding to be that much closer.
"I knew that it would work. It just makes sense that his skill would work with it. He doesn’t even need to make another storage space I bet." Remey gloated a bit before she spotted a curled up broken shape. The monster that had been kicked out of the fire elemental plane was dead but the shell had started to condense in to an egg shape already, proof that it would make a dormant egg and float through this area until it could find more food.
"Keep your eye out, there are more trying to eat one another showing up." Su slammed her shield in to a small squirming group of flame drilling centipedes. Her face showed the disgust at them trying to consume one another the moment that their food seemed to be lessening. It was atrocious activity from anything.
While the two started to work, Walker felt the rate of flow from the mana increasing and understood a fact about skills he had not realized.
Just as levels could go up and people could improve skills through hard work and training, some skills might need more.
For skills like the portable forge, alchemy lab, or other similar spatial skills, more materials might be needed. Some could be used to help him make spatial storage, he knew this. But it was the fact that to enhance the portable alchemy lab skill he needed mana of a certain sort in higher amounts from an elemental plane, well, that was something he would never have guessed.
It meant that further improvements to some unique skills might need to be documented with more clarity and attention to detail. It might not be the class or the user or the training but the materials and experiences that defined some skill more so. It could greatly improve the flow of knowledge. Some people who enhance their skills could be leading the charge on how skills could grow as a whole.
Genesis could use this knowledge and share it with everyone. However, where it would be more important was how to achieve these growths and breakthroughs. If they would be worth it, or cost too much to achieve for the average person.
He worried for a moment about this before he refocused and doubled his efforts. He wanted to complete this so that they could focus on the core reason they were here.. And he knew he could learn something when he saw the core aspects of this alchemy fire elemental plane left behind. It would be a remnant fed on by monsters, but it might show something to him that helped.
Meanwhile, more and more of the parasitic monsters were being defeated by Remey and Su. their actions perfectly in synch and Remey showing her strength despite her weakened state.
