Chapter 2911: 2911. Not A Fight
There was a density in the wind mana around them that the three were familiar with. However, it was the slightly chaotic and viciously sharp aspects that they were unfamiliar with.
That aspect was abnormal and they all knew that there was trouble brewing in terms of this singular fact. It was also why Walker began to buff them with various skills, all focusing on protecting from wind mana.
The wind mana being this sharp and holding a tension that proved dangers were here meant that he needed to be clearly prepared for what else might be ahead of them. It was also clear that the area that they had been brought in to was somewhat destroyed too.
There were trees made of singular wind mana affinity broken and destroyed in splinters of degrading manas. Not to mention the flowing wind currents that should be organized and smooth being broken and causing small tornados around the area. Even the more valuable wind elemental herbs that should be producing fruits in this dense wind mana were cut or torn from where they had been growing.
The issue was, they did not see everything that could have caused this other than the shocking changes in wind currents and terrains. It was like they had walked through another portal of sorts and entered an entirely different section of wind elemental plane.
This was how they managed to begin their search for the area and when Remey shouted in worry, Walker and Su knew something more serious had happened.
"There are small eggs on all of the leaves of these broken trees!"
’Destroyed wind fall sapling
This wind fall sapling would normally live and grow in dense wind mana for two hundred years before dissipating its leaves and branches to reproduce ten more saplings that would take root within the wind currents and be reborn. Due to chaotic wind manas, it was destroyed and the eggs and leaves mostly destroyed as well.
It has lost the stability needed to be used as a material or sustenance for the hidden breeze butterfly race...’
Walker read the appraisal out loud and they all understood the severity of this. A species like the hidden breeze butterfly needed these trees for their young to eat and grow to become what they were meant to be.
They needed them to grow and flourish so that they could keep up their short and quick moving lifespans.
Meaning simply, that this was a loss for them and for their entire race. It could even put them on the brink of destruction.
No, extinction.
"So this was an added elemental plane?" Su caught on to what would cause these drastic changes in this area. This place had clearly been peaceful and calm before but was now just chaos and destruction. The mana was even tense to the point that it felt like it could lurch or slash out like a monster.
"That depends on what the elemental plane added here can do. But I don’t see the wind fall saplings ahead so they can’t be enough for the hidden breeze butterflies to live and survive.
"Not enough. Help us. Bring the nesting trees back."
More than one voice carried in the breezes perched around them. They were voices that seemed young and old, all calling for the help needed for their race to return.
"The wind king told them to ask for me because they knew I would do what I could to save their race..." His face was showing a mask of calm but his heart wrenched.
Walker had handled situations like this before but the hidden breeze butterfly race felt even that much more hurt. They lived short lives and advanced rapidly, but they were not fighters or violent. They lived peacefully and helped where they could in their short lives. Because of this they earned the attention of the entire wind elemental plane. They lived within its will and for its will.
They deserved to thrive so that they could show what peace and help was for their race and others. They were a core of the wind elemental plane because of the way that they chose to live their short lives. So, Walker did not turn away from the sudden voices coming from various wind currents. Especially as he understood many of those voices would only utter these words today before they passed on.
"We will help you as we can. The eggs we find will be placed on new trees for their future. I understand that we may not be able to grow enough, but the elemental plane added here by whatever origin being dropped it here will be removed so that you can live in this area safely."
The promise was loud. Not because Walker called out, but because he had said something entirely insane to any other living being within an elemental plane.
Even Su and Remey were somewhat silenced by his declaration.
Walker and them came looking for a small elemental alone to gather and try to make in to a dungeon. Yet, now he was saying he would take this one?
Even further than that, he had said he would help them all while doing this which meant that he was literally going against whatever origin being had managed to drag this wind elemental plane here and opened it up to the remaining wind elemental plane.
It was risky and dangerous since it might cause the origin being that placed it here anger. This was surely not the way that anyone should go about meeting a new person let alone an origin being surely stronger than what Walker could manage.
Nonetheless, Walker was handling this and he immediately began to latch on to the already stressed space mana.
What Walker could understand about space mana was great and small at the same time. But he had learned important things. frёewebηovel.cѳm
He understood that space did not like to change. It was preferring to be the same and allow itself to bind with everything as a foundational mana. It preferred to allow itself peace and balance rather than chaos that caused it to bend and break.
However, when it was forced, Walker had never mentioned that it would be uncomfortable while adjusting. It needed time to change and calm. It needed to be adjusted properly.
And this wind elemental plane dropped in to the greater wind elemental plane was not calm or perfectly sewn together. It was also not something that should be easily done for anyone or anything. So, with that in mind, Walker decided to break the barely formed bonding and move it again. Let the space that has been here reclaim the area and then let Remey and Su bring cuttings and saplings from the wind fall trees to the area.
He wasn’t even considering this for their dungeon creation attempt. He was worrying about the potential he had to allow this race to safely live where they had always lived.
"I will cut off this wind elemental plane and start to pull it from this area. It might get stored in the multi dimensional storage space as its own area, but i won’t bind it and keep it. Whatever is inside there will be sealed away just like I saw with the others on the outer elemental planes. I just need to focus."
"Remey, Su, can the two of you gather the eggs and start to stick those broken branches in the ground? I know you have some of the wind nutrient potions we use on the experimental wind mana greenhouses. They should be safe to use in this elemental plane." Remey knew exactly her role.
They weren’t fighting some massive monster or anything like that. They were carving a safe place for the race accidentally, or maybe purposefully, harmed. It took precedence over whatever else they were doing and Remey felt she too could grow much more by just doing a little part in all of this.
Su was already moving. She had spent hours and hours helping others to the point where some people believed her to be a healer who wore heavier armor to protect herself. She had the proper heart and mind to help regardless of her goals prior. Not that she would not pursue her goal after this too.
As the two moved, they felt Walker focus his mind and body releasing more mana. They could feel the shiver of the mana around as he directly began to take control of the space mana to do something he had never done before.
But why would he be worried? Why would they be worried?
Walker was the epitome of accomplishing impossible tasks. So, when he began to pull at the space mana which had just begun to knit itself together with this new wind elemental alone, neither of them flinched. They worked hard to ensure that he would be able to help them grow these trees after everyone was said and done. ƒгeewebnovёl.com
Walker also remained focused. He was going to do something that a member of the origin race should naturally be able to do no matter what.
