Chapter 1729: Chapter 1279: Only Four Brides (Part 2)
"Could you not bully me like this tonight?" Vishi bowed her head, her voice trembling slightly, speaking with grievance, "They’re watching..."
Ash licked the tear at the corner of her eye and whispered, "I just want to tell you, you really don’t have to worry, because you can never return to being the Ghost Prophet you once were."
"Though not many, I believe I have changed you a bit, just as you have corrupted me somewhat. No matter what happens later, you will never again be that mad Ghost Prophet, although your nature remains cruel and fierce, you have now seen higher scenery with me, and your pride won’t allow you to waste time gazing at the clouded beings below... More importantly, you have found your path, even without me, you will strike towards the Seven Heavens, seeking supreme opportunities amidst chaos."
"Certainly, you won’t be exclusively my Demon Maid; your dignity won’t allow it, and your thousand-year persistence won’t allow it. Neither Ghost Prophet nor Demon Maid, you will have a louder, more dazzling, more awe-inspiring title."
"You will surely become a mage standing at the pinnacle." Ash said seriously, "I never doubted that."
"Yet in my eyes, you’re always Maid Vishi. Who let me see a cute maid waiting for me to wake up at first glance after losing my memory of you?"
Vishi wiped her eye sockets, looked at him with a complex expression, and after a long time, softly said:
"How can you say such sweet words while taking off my underwear?"
Ash hesitated for a moment: "Shall I help you put it back on?"
Vishi giggled, glared at him angrily, her eyes charming with allure, causing Ash to be momentarily dazed.
"Three lives adrift, a millennial cultivation..."
"I’ve been wicked all my life, deservedly I met you, this scoundrel, now truly locked by you." She unbuckled the back of her bridal gown, her breasts pressed against Ash’s chest, then leaned down and whispered in his ear, "All my years of persistence shattered upon you, bastard."
Ash’s scalp tingled, blood boiled, he took a deep breath and asked: "Do you still want to leave?"
"I now want to be your slave for life." Vishi bit Ash’s ear, softly saying, "Lock me in."

Ash didn’t bother to replenish water this time.
Because Vishi held him tightly, refusing to let him go. Besides the reason of acting coy, another reason was...
"Pfft, Vishi, aren’t you just too... too cute?"
"Now I truly believe Ash was your first love."
"Great, I’m not the weakest one anymore!"
Everyone, who had held back laughter for half an hour, couldn’t resist anymore and quickly commented on Vishi’s performance. Yes, less than an hour, half an hour and Vishi was completely defeated, forced to stop and recover health, her health bar couldn’t match Sword Maiden, her revival ability fell short of the Witch, her burst couldn’t compare to Silver Lamp hence she refused to show her face, burying herself in Ash’s chest pretending to be dead.
Ash touched Vishi’s curly pigtails, suppressing his laughter. He was used to teasing Vishi, so couldn’t resist provoking Vishi earlier, making the proud Elf maid say sweet words she usually wouldn’t, which was particularly amusing.
Just at this moment, he heard Vishi unhappily asking: "Are you very disappointed in me?"
Ash finally couldn’t hold it in, burst out laughing. Vishi was so angry her face turned red, yet she dared not show her face, only held him tightly.
Ash stopped laughing after a while, wiped the tear from his eye, and said: "I have too many reasons to be disappointed in you, but you only focus on this?"
"Since you’re so disappointed, then don’t seek me out next time, let those three accompany you."
Oh, she’s the type to like acting coy after relaxing... Ash embraced Vishi’s slender waist, smiled and said: "You want insincere words; I’ll play along. You want a deal; I’ll comply. Refusing to join the team: I’ll follow. Insisting on completing the Six-winged Trial alone: I’m with you..."
"So there’s no need to rush, just follow your pace. There’s no such thing as disappointment; I’ll cooperate well with you. Don’t worry about your image in my mind; I’ve prepared myself to accept everything about you, whether good or bad, happy or sad, because... I love you."
After quite some time, Ash heard the person in his embrace softly reply, very quietly: "I love you too."
Ash felt as if he’d taken a big bite of ice cream, sweet and satisfying, his whole being relaxed, feeling the last bit of regret evaporate from his heart. He looked at Sword Maiden, then turned to look at Silver Lamp and Witch, finally having the courage to match his desires, gathering them all in his arms.
"Eh?" Sonia raised her eyebrows
"Wow!" Diya looked expectantly.
"So even lard can grow arrogant." Weiser laughed.
"Your scheduled time is up; next is supposed to be mine, right?" Ash blinked, his voice seemingly filled with an incredible magnetism: "This night is still long."
...
...
As the early morning sun penetrated the curtains, casting a golden outline on the chaotic room.
Sonia and the others slept soundly, even Weiser was no exception. They still wore their Bride wedding dresses, some hanging on, others not, thankfully the bridal gear was taken off, otherwise, it would have been damaged during last night’s combat.
Ash sat up in the midst of them on the bed, very rarely wearing pajamas, looking at the photo in his hand, with a faint smile on his face.
"If you ask me again, I might really regret it."
He glanced at his lovers, Sonia’s mouth slightly curled, dreaming perhaps; Diya curled up hugging a pillow, murmuring seemingly; Weiser had the most standard sleeping posture, her body glowing faintly; Vishi slept the soundest, evidently exhausted.
"Originally, just wanted to see them in wedding dresses and be satisfied..." Ash mused, "But now I really can’t bear to leave."
"Want to stay a few more days, just accompany them one more day."
"I know I can, but each day I stay longer, the more I yearn to survive, the less I want to leave. It must be now, it must be me."
"Come on, Death Mad."
Ash took a last look at Sonia, Diya, Weiser, Vishi, showed a helpless smile, and said softly: "All because you love me, now I have to become someone deserving of your affection."
As the wind blew the curtain, a photo gently floated to the bed, capturing the four brides watching the flower carriage parade within a castle. Vishi mischievously flamboyant, Weiser serene and quiet, Diya lively and adorable, Sonia charming and brisk... Their most beautiful moments perfectly frozen in the photograph.
Sonia suddenly opened her eyes, sat up and looked around the room but didn’t know what she was searching for. She looked down and saw a photo on the bed, picked it up, vaguely noticing a blurry shadow, but when she rubbed her eyes for a second look, there was no shadow in the photo.
Only the four brides.
PS: Adjusting schedule tomorrow, watching a movie, messing around, taking a day off.
