Chapter 69: Chapter 69 Approval

Matt’s POV freewēbnoveℓ.com

I could practically see Abby bouncing on her feet, pure excitement at the prospect of us moving in and filling her dream home with all the people she loves. Hear her voice squeal as she looks over the project with me, demanding more room for family and less room for formalities. When she had set our contractor straight, with a "Mr. Spade, I admire your work and your dedication to this project, but this is going to be our home. The home of our family and friends. I sincerely do not give a rat’s ass about formalities and what a pack house should or should not contain. We want this done our way. If you see yourself unable to meet our needs, I will gladly call in someone who will! Am I clear?"

She was a badass, and she was mine! I was so damn proud of her that day. She showed that old fart how things were working, and that he was here to fulfill our vision, not his own. freewёbnoνel.com

As of right now, it was still empty, but as soon as we gave the ready, everyone would start moving in. I mind-linked the staff in both previous pack houses to move. We wanted it done, and there was no time to waste.

We had agreed to make my previous pack house to a new joined school for all the kids in the pack, and Jason’s would be new training and living quarters for the warriors. Only those who were living alone could live there. Making good use of the old houses. They needed some remodeling, but that would start as soon as the houses were empty.

Jason went to help his people move, telling me what they were having and making me promise to give it to my sisters so they could shop. He didn’t give a damn about the costs, he just needed it done, probably. We would decorate it when the girls came back, but we needed to assemble the furniture at the very least. But he and I were practically bouncing with excitement. Really manly, I know.

I looked for Brandon before speaking to Helena and Sally. Sally and Nate had arrived the night of the call for the Alpha gathering. Sally had spent the following day ranting and cursing every goddess, demon and even the king himself so profusely my mom had shot of her seat yelling at her.

"SALLY ANN BLUE! DO YOU KISS MY GRANDHILDREN WITH THAT DIRTY MOUTH OF YOURS? I HOPE NOT!" Everyone had laughed at her and my sister having a standoff. Sally defending her position to curse everyone for being after her sister-in-law, and my mother for being horrified by her darling girl could use such language and be proud of her for being so protective of my mate. She herself viewed Abby as a daughter, and was absolutely outraged at her kidnapping. But at the same time she was a former Luna tried to stay collected. Even though she had threatened to go to the underworld to kick some demon ass for trying to hurt her little girl and her grandchildren. Make no mistake. My mother is no pushover. Far from it.

I found Brandon in his office, packing the last things to take to the new place. I knocked on the door before entering and closing it behind me.

"Hey Alpha. What’s up?" Brandon asks when I close the door.

"Did you just say ’Alpha’?" I ask back in disbelief. He never called me that unless absolutely necessary. Brandon smiles sheepishly.

"Uhm, what’s up, Matt?" He answers, not looking me in the eye. He is probably expecting me to yell at him for Morgan going rogue and taking Laurel with her. Sami and Isadora made their choice with their Alpha’s approval.

"Well, we need to talk. That’s what is up." I say sternly. Brandon slowly looks up from his papers and swallows.

"Oh? What about?" He asks innocently. I fix him with a stare, not letting up for one second. In my head, Blade is rolling over, laughing in amusement. He is really enjoying to make his best mate sweat.

"I have something serious to discuss with you! And I need an honest answer from you!" I say as I cross my arms over my chest. Brandon is looking more and more uncomfortable. But none the less he nods to my question.

"Good. Seeing as I have already discussed this with Jason, it will be quick because I need to move on it." I say, dragging my true purpose for being here out a little. Brandon nods again, dragging his hands over his pants.

"I need to know if you want me to talk to Helena and Sally about buying things for your nursery, because they are doing ours and Jason and Ellie’s." I say with a straight and stern face. Watching his eyes widen as saucers, I burst out laughing. Blade and I are laughing so much we are crying. Doubled over, and not able to see shit, I hear him ask where the fuck I know that from?

"Antares taddled to Galaxy, who, of course, told Abby." I answer between sobs of laughter. I’m struggling with breathing right about now. Brandon laughs with me.

"Would your sisters be alright with helping us too?" He asks. I give him a pointed look, saying ’duh, more shopping’ and he chuckles.

We decide to see my sisters together, but before we can reach the door, a frantic omega mind-links me.

’King Matthew, we need you at the new pack house. Something is wrong with Alpha, Jason.’ Just as the mind-link ends, I fall to my knees. An immense sorrow washes over me, replaced with a fury I have never experienced before.

Something is not only wrong with Ellie, but with both our girls. We just can’t catch a break, it seems.
