Chapter 51: Chapter 51 Traitor

The Third Person’s POV

Sylla stands ready to fight Aros, when she feels another stab in her dark energy. Someone tied to her magic is dead, but not someone who is tied in a way that it will take her own life. She doesn’t think much of it because they tied most of the coven members to her, so she will always know where they are or what they are doing. Especially if they should have gotten cold feet or turned their magic from the path of the dark.

She smiles a sinister smile, void of all emotion at Aros. Something is telling him it is not Sylla that is in control right now. And as he looks into her eyes, his suspicion is confirmed. In there, he sees a red circle surrounding her pupils. A clear sign a demon has taken home in her body.

"What’s your name, demon?" He asks calmly. Her smile widens.

"So, the little traitor isn’t as stupid as he looks, huh? Who would have thought?" A deep voice come out of her mouth. Aros crosses his arms, seemingly already bored with the conversation.

"Are we here to throw compliments at each other, or do you want to give me your name so we get a move on this show?" He asks, rolling his eyes in annoyance. Demons have always bored him to death with all their games and taunting.

"You are absolutely no fun, little warlock. My name is Eversor, and the pleasure is all yours." The voice introduces itself. Aros pales. Eversor. The destroyer. Oh, this wasn’t good at all.

They are about to have a showdown when running makes them halt. They can hear paws all over the quiet field. All the rogues here have shifted here as well, to Abby’s surprise, as well as all the warriors. Those who are not currently taking anyone into custody stand by to await new orders from the King or Queen.

’We heard your announcement, my love. So, that joint packhouse is really becoming a reality, huh?’ Matt asks in a mind-link, including Jason in their conversation.

’It was all Galaxy. I wanted to ask you two, but...’

’No, she is right. All the ranked members here are family, and you two are our royals. It would be a shame to let it go to waste. I am just glad I keep being Alpha,’ Jason says in a cheerful voice. He is excited about what the future holds for all of werewolf and magic communities.

Sylla/Eversor turns around slowly. She recognises that aura everywhere. But it can’t be?! Their plan was foolproof. Before her stands four other wolves. One of them walks up to Antares, who bows down. The silver wolf nudges Antares, who stands with pride and respect. Then she turns her menacing glare towards a stunned enemy.

’Never, ever, threaten one of my people, evil witch/demon.’ A voice rings out. Loud and clear to everybody’s head. fɾēewebnσveℓ.com

It couldn’t be. Maria was supposed to kill her. But here she stood, tall, proud and annoying as hell. What the fuck happened?! She made her ally so strong, strong enough to take her down.

’You really didn’t think that little worthless girl could be a match for me. Did you?’ The wolf asks in a condescending tone.

Suddenly a shot rings out from the treeline, aiming at Abby and Galaxy. They brace themselves for the impact, but it never comes. Abby hears a soft whimper, and someone yelling "NOOOOO!"

Down on the ground in front of Galaxy lays a small human form. The life and happiness in her eye dissipating slowly as she looks at her sister. Ellie runs to her, naked from shifting back. And out of the side of her eyes, Abby sees a large panther jumping into the treeline, and then a scream and a gurgle as the live leaves the shooter. The big cat runs from the trees and immediately to the little hurricane on the ground. He shifts back and, surprisingly, has all his clothes on.

Abby shifts as well, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Why did you jump in front of me?" She chokes out the question. Sylla laughs a menacing laugh, as she watches the child die slowly from her wound. The bullet is cursed and dipped in both silver and wolfsbane. No one will survive this.

"One down, three to go." She states before teleporting away, just as Samson, Brandon’s wolf and Nigel, Kaiden’s wolf, closes in to capture her.

"You are the only witch and werewolf Queen. We can’t lose you. You are too important. And you are family, and we protect our family." The girl whispers hoarsely, before her eyes close and her heart stops beating.

Abby’s POV

As her heart stops beating, I grab her and start running towards the infirmary. She can’t be dead, she can’t be dead, she can’t be dead. That is all that is running through my mind as I rush her little body to the doctors. I can hear everyone following me, Jax running at my side, yelling for Willow to wake up and open her eyes.

He sounds so mad and heartbroken. Everything moves in slow motion when I enter the infirmary, the nurses taking Willow from my arms; the doctors yelling for a defibrillator and more nurses trying to keep everyone out of her room.

"Your Highness, I’m sorry, but you need to let the doctors work on her. They need space." Then I feel an arm coming across my abdomen. I flinch in pain and growl before I feel the sparks flowing on my skin. It’s Matt.

"Baby, come on, we need to give them space." He says as he leads me to the hallway where everyone else is waiting. The silence is ominous. People are staring straight ahead and crying or mumbling to themselves. Maybe they are praying? Should I do that too?

’Selene, and every higher power there is, please let my little sister live! She is precious to me and everyone else here. We need her and her bubbly self to keep the insanity at bay. She is the glue keeping us together. You can’t take her away from us. From me. I just met her, and I need more time! I DEMAND MORE TIME WITH HER!’ I end in tears as I yell the last part out in my head, hoping against all hope they are hearing my plea.

The time goes painfully slow, as the doctors keep fighting for Willow’s life, but if she is not fighting with them I know it can’t end well. No! I need to believe she will make it. Her heart wasn’t stopped that long when I brought her here?

I am brooding to myself when a nurse walks over to where me and Matt are sitting silently doing our own thing. Nothing else matters right now, but the little hurricane of happiness in there, fighting.

"Your Highnesses, I’m sorry to disturb, but the guards informed me that we have guests, one of which is the current Alpha of Black Moon. They are holding them both until they get the okay to let them into our territory, but both of your mind-links are off." She says with a slight bow of the head. I come out of my daze. Why would both Daemon and another come here?. The wheels are turning slowly, like they are covered in goo.

"Abby, it’s probably Daemon and Benjamin. Didn’t you teleport all of us here when under attack?" Sami asks, while pointing at Isadora, Ellie, Morgan and herself. I nod. Why hadn’t I noticed even Isadora had followed us in here? Feeling guilty, I hurriedly introduce Isadora to everyone and explain how we came to meet. The girls accepted her immediately, seeing that she fought with us, no questions asked, a moment ago. The guys seemed more hesitant.

"Tell the guards to let them in. I will teleport them to their mates when they are in our territory." I say with a small smile. The nurse nods, her eyes glaze over. When they clear, she says they are both over the border.

I teleport the two guys to their girls. As they arrive, they yell at me for kidnapping their mates and not telling them they were okay. Matt and Sami try to get a word in, but it is when Isadora shouts at Daemon to shut the hell up and listen, they both quiet down. She then smacks them both on the head, walking over and doing the same to Matt.

"Ow! What the fuck was that for?" Matt asks, as he rubs his head from her smack.

"You are OUR KING DAMMIT! USE IT!" she yells at him.

"Wow! I like you." All the girls say in unison. Even the guys have to hide the smirks.

I lightened considerably in the mood, with Isadora putting the three guys in their place. I smile and mouth "thank you" just before the door opens to Willow’s room. Straining my hearing, I get nothing but silence from in there. Even before the doctor speaks, I’m lost in my head.

’No, no, no, no. She has to be okay!’ I chant again and again.

"Your Highnesses, everyone, I have to tell you.."
