Chapter 354: Chapter 354 We Would Never Harm Her
Allison
’You’ve been holding back.’ I mock scold my fox, making her snort in derision.
’With that welcoming and open minded pack we got back home, are you in the least surprised?’ She asks back, and I have to just agree with her that I’m actually not.
Suddenly Mateo points and we see Kiara’s fox and others leave the battle. They look like a hunting party. I shrug it off, they probably need to find the two figures who left a little while earlier. A moment later Havoc follows alone, sniffing the ground and the air.
I sent him a mind picture of the direction. He looks up, nodding to Ruby and hurrying after his mate. I bet he was supposed to stay here and fight, but he couldn’t stay behind knowing Winter and Kiara are out there without him.
After a few more moments in the air, Ruby decides to land and tell the others we are winning all over the place now. Allies are working together, rounding up enemies, killing those who keep fighting us, and containing the others. When we see we are no longer needed here in the camp, we return to the pack grounds, where the scene is the same. We shift back, me in my clothes, the other finding places to shift and clothes to put on.
"Did you see where Kiara and the others went?" Mateo asks, watching me. I shake my head.
"Nothing more than you did, but I have a feeling who they are after."
The triplets, Daniel and the fox guard walk out from where they were shifting, coming up to us as Matthew trots up as well. He looks tired and worn, but otherwise unscattered.
"Allison, I heard you have a gift of calming people who need tending in human form, but whose wolf is refusing to subside?" I nod, confused for a moment. Where would he have heard that? "Between-pack information sharing. I pulled your file because I remember Kiara has a knack for it."
He excuses us to the others, but Ethan, Ezra and Elijah insist on coming with us. For a moment Matthew seems like wanting to argue with them, but then thinking better of it. He leads us to the pack hospital, where a metal bowl flies out of a room, while someone growls thunderously.
"He doesn’t need the healing, she does. But the doctors can’t get to her." Matthew explains showing us the room.
On the bed is a beautiful female, her face contracted in pain, a gaping wound in her side and her thigh. The male is standing over her, his eyes dark with fury, his features showing his wolf’s presence.
"What’s his name?" I ask, getting tons of protests from the triplets. I shoot them one scorching look and they shut up. freeweɓnøvel.com
"His name is Brandon, her name is Morgan. Mira Rose was their daughter. I think he is going slightly crazy at the thought of losing both his mate and his daughter in one night." Matthew explains. I nod.
’Let’s try medium amplitude, Ruby.’ She agrees, and I walk into the room with my calming aura surrounding me like a blanket.
"Brandon, please look at me." I tell him, not getting closer than an arm’s length. He whirls around, growling angrily. I give him a small smile. "We need to treat your mate, or this will end in a bitter night."
"You touch her and I’ll..." Ruby presses forward in my mind, sensing she is needed more than back in our pack.
"We would never harm her. What is your name?" I ask, calmly, quietly. The aura slowly taking over the room and the male. freewebnσvel.cøm
"Samson. I will not lose her. Not now. Not tonight. NO!" He growls, and I take a deep breath, slowly exhaling. I watch as he subconsciously mirrors my actions.
"Samson, my name is Allison. How about we sit besides your mate? You hold her hand, and let Brandon have back control. Then the doctors help her, and she will be fine." I amp up the aura a little knowing I got him.
"You promise I’ll sit here?"
"I promise I will sit here with you and Brandon, watching over your mate. I just want Brandon to be in control please. You are scaring the staff and your mate."
He turns his head to the woman in the bed. His demeanor changes, and the man breaks down in tears and sobs. I amp down the aura, not completely shutting it off, and get two chairs.
"Come on, we can sit right here. We’re not leaving before she is healed and doctors tell us how things are looking, alright?" He nods, sitting down. Doctors quickly move in, grabbing tools, working on Morgan. My mates quietly enter the room, and after a while Ethan excuses himself to go help outside. I nod, not taking my eyes off the bed. Another while and Ezra and Elijah ask if I need them in there, or if they can go out and help. I smile and tell them to go.
