I can feel Maze getting near with the others as I keep fighting demons and rogues. We need to keep Hannah safe as we are furrowly trapped out here. Maze and the others reach where we were sitting and talking, throwing themselves into the fight without a second thought. Wolves are working together, fighting and killing the enemy. Three huge back identical wolves circle where Ruby is protecting Hannah, who is huddling down and trying to stay out of sight and out of the way. Winter fights her way to Havoc, working side by side with her mate when a scream pierce the ground. Maze mindlinks me to go and he’ll hold them off. Winter hurriedly turns around to go back to where Ruby and her mates are protecting Hannah, but when I get there a magnificent caramel colored wolf is standing over a wounded Ruby and growling fiercely.
’What happened?’ I ask Allison, fighting my way to the wolf standing over her. I know who she is, but how the fuck did this happen?

"We have to get them both back to the pack hospital." Someone else yells. "Get the former Queen. NOW!"
"We’ll get you to the hospital Kiara, I promise." I sob from the pain. It feels like my insides are on fire and someone keeps rotating a melting hot blade in a wound I know I do not have.
"WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO MY SON AND DAUGHTER-IN-LAW?" Someone screams, and I slightly recognize the voice of Isabella. Someone explains something, but my body is giving out from the pain. Darkness overtakes everything, and I am no longer present in the real world.
In the state of utter and complete darkness, I sat down and waited. Nothing happened and I have time to think the events over. I know what I saw, and what happened. I don’t understand how or why, but she will pay for this! She betrayed us. Fooled us! If I die now, I am coming back somehow to kill her and drag her with me into the deepest depths of hell where she will suffer with me for the rest of eternity.
’You owe me, Selene!’ I think to myself. I am so angry at her. What the fuck was the meaning of everything if we are just going to die now?
At some point I notice something or someone laying behind me and I lean into Winter. She is warm and comfortable.
"Are we dying?" I ask her, but she does not answer me. She just stays with me, creating warmth. I sigh.
