The pack is assembled in the backyard. We made sure to tell everyone if they didn’t want us to make it an Alpha command they had to show their faces. We made sure to have benches for everyone to sit on, and a raised platform for the ranked members. Maze and I decided to come early to make sure everyone, except those who are on guard duty get here. We even have people, ranked members, going through the pack during the meeting to make sure no stragglers are left unattended. We need to nip this in the butt already.
We made our way to Madelines’s parents house to get her things, and Maze had to make it an Alpha command for us to gain entrance to their house, which is just ridiculous. They kept shouting about how this was a breach of privacy, and they forbid their daughter to be mated to a lowlife fox. I told them to shut the fuck up at that point, and if they didn’t want a month in the cellars on the break, I would keep it shut! It worked wonders. But the issue still lays ahead. We have no idea how bad this really is. We thought it was a one time thing with Ryan’s parents, but apparently it isn’t. After we also helped Madeline, more have come to us with similar problems.
We also found out the kitchen Omega who taddled on her was jealous of her and wanted her gone from the packhouse, which she would have been forced to by her parents when they found out had Maze and I not intertwined.
"Are you ready, my Queen?" Maze asks, kissing my hand. I smile at him. He has been such a perfect mate lately. The picture perfect mate actually.
"I am! We need to weed out the bad seeds if we don’t want to end up like White Mountain." I tell him with seriousness. We have also moved up the Alpha meeting, which is going to start tomorrow with the first arrivals. That is another issue. We need the pack to be the best it can be before they arrive.
"Kristian, Alastair and Jon say they can’t see more stragglers, but they’ll keep patrolling the backgrounds." I nod, as Maze stands up silencing the crowd with his mere presence. I’m so impressed and slightly turned on by him right now. He gestures for me to stand up as well.

’I might not be able to read Kiara’s thoughts, but Maze’s are screaming right now. Will you two take it down a notch please?!’ Willow says just them, and I blush deeply. That’s so embarrassing. Maze kisses my hand again and chuckles. Then he turns to the waiting crowd.
"Silver Moon, we have summoned you here tonight because we have some pack issues we need to address. I am willing to listen, change and work for a better pack, if you are willing to do the same?" Most of the people nod. "We have, my mate and I, have been made aware of some issues between families where the parents are being deliberately unreasonable. We want this to stop immediately. The money one earns belongs to the person who earns them, not to the parents of that person. A small fee for living at home is acceptable, but not their entire salary." Mumbles erupts, and someone stands up with a hand raised. Maze nod to her.
"Excuse me for saying so, Alpha King, but that’s none of you or your mates business. That is something within a household, and family. Something people will find out between themselves." Murmurs of agreement. I noticed how she didn’t even look at me.
’She thinks you are not going to be able to lead as a wolf would lead. She thinks her daughter should have been Queen, and is disgusted by you being a fox. Oh wow. Now she thinks she hopes you die soon, so they are rid of you.’ Willow says. I smirk.
"Madam?" I ask, and she has to look at me. Her eyes show the disgust she is trying to hide.
"Adale." She says, crossing her arms.
"You can call me your Grace or my Queen, but your insolence you can keep to yourself." I tell her sternly, and she blush bright red. "Madam Adale, I am sure that this worked great for the old packs, but we are not the old packs. We are young and new to the roles of Alpha and Luna, yes, but we have the best in mind for everyone. And parents do not have a right to the money their children earn on honest work. It makes it our business when we have people asking us for help, and you can believe me when I say; with a mother like you, your daughter would make a bad Queen. And I am not just going to go out and die so you can get rid of me. I don’t care if you like me or my fox counterpart, but I am your Queen and you will respect me or get the hell out of our pack. Understood?" Madam Adale scowls.

"I wholeheartedly agree with my Queen." He just says, raising an eyebrow. "We’re on the same side, and anyone who thinks they can come here tonight and cause a rift between us, or make me go against Kiara can think again. I agree with everything my mate says and does. If she banishes you for lack of respect or something else, I agree with her. If she strips you of your title or anything else she can think of; I agree and support her. She is my Queen as much as she is yours. I will never make the mistake again of taking her for granted." Murmurs of agreement, disagreement and straight up uproar courses through the crowd.
