Amber presented this in a way I didn’t thi possible. She’s been the picture perfect of the Queen she is meant to be, and I am so proud of her. She’s been in hiding ever since our meeting with Berion, and Blaze and I agreed not to push her. But her mother got enough of it and sent for her brother. I was awkward to meet him again after our little run in at her pack earlier. But he’s a nice guy, and he got her to open up. I need to get him to tell me his secrets.
The silence drags on, but Amber looks at everyone calmly. I admire her from the side of my eye and Calor purrs.
’She’s so perfect, I just want to take her back to bed and have my way with her.’
’Calor for goodness sake, calm down! We’ll have time for that, but that time is not now. We are in a serious meeting.’

"If everyone has thought this over I would like to start with my opinion on this serious matter." He turns his head to the others, who all nod their heads.
"Well then. I have thought about this long and hard, and I still don’t know what to think to be honest. This is a lot of process, but if this is the will of our divine goddess, then I will be nothing but corporate. I can see how you will be a great High Queen, Amber, and I will support you." He smiles, and I can feel how Amber relaxes a bit. She has been tense ever since we set our feet in this room, even though I think only me, Blaze and maybe Maze can feel it.
"I too think this is a bit much to just be thrown in our heads, but I do also support the goddess’s plan. This has been written in the scripts from long before we were born, and I will not be the one to question her plan. Although this is going to be a strange situation for us all. We have to answer to someone now, someone who is higher in the ranks than we are. Something neither of us have ever experienced before. I will do my very best, but I can’t promise bumps on the road." Oron says, and then continues. "Besides; I owe everything to Queen Amber. She removed the residue of the spell that fake bimbo had put on me, and she saved us from a conspiracy that would have damaged the Royal image all over the lands."
"I had help with that, King Oron. Don’t forget your own role in helping me escape when I was a prisoner." King Oron nods, but his eyes show that he still gives her all the credit.
"King Mesus? Queen Adalia?" Amber asks, when the couple keeps being quiet.
"We are both firm believers in the goddess and her plans. But this is maybe a bit much to ask us. We can’t give a definite answer.."
"Oh for heaven’s sake my children! How can I make myself any more clear than I already have?! She is the one! The one who is going to save our realm. Well, her and her flea infested brother, that is."
"MOTHER! Don’t talk about my children that way. They do not have fleas!" A sharp golden/silver light emerges in the room, and everyone except me, Blaze, Amber and Maze falls to their knees on the ground. Out of the light walks Solei and Selene. I’m still not used to our goddess being so.. Communicative. But it is what it is. A lot around here has changed since Amber came into my life, and I would not change anything about it. It all has changed for the better.
’We need to do it tonight.’ I mindlink Blaze.
’Are you sure she’ll not just say no? I think it’s too soon.’
’No! It’s gonna have to be tonight. We both agreed we wanted this.’
’I do! I just don’t want to scare her.’
’Matthew already gave his blessings along with Abigail. We can’t postpone it any longer.’
’Alright. I’ll set it up, while you keep her distracted.’
"Good afternoon everyone. Do you have space for two more?" Solei asks, while not waiting for an answer before summoning two chairs for her and Selene.
"So, where were we? Oh, yeah. You were saying King Mesus?" She turns her whole attention on the blushing King, who seems to have lost his tongue.
"I.. I.. Uhm. Well, I was saying that this is a lot to take in and that we can’t decide just on a whim here. We need time."
"Oh pish, posh with you! You are only buying your time to go back home and go radio silent. Don’t think I don’t know your inner thoughts Mesus Iceborn. I know." Solei answers his statement with a handwave. Mesus crosses his arms, a stubborn look on his face.
"I will not just surrender the North to some girl who is not even a Dragon." Both Blaze, Maze and I growl at the same time. How dare he insult my mate like that! Calor is in uproar, wanting me to challenge the man to a duel, like we in the middle age or something.
"How dare.." Blaze is silenced by Amber, as she shakes her head.
"King Mesus, I understand your concern regarding your position and your Kingdom, but I promise this will not change anything in your daily life."

"You question my abilities to be a good ruler based solely on my heritage as a wolf shifter, yet you participated in my rescue not long ago. We have been nothing but forthcoming with you all from the start, keeping you informed and open about the issues and troubles regarding the treason and those working with the leaders. Yet, you question me and my leadership skills. You also question your goddess as well as mine, and I will have no problem putting you in your place if this childish act does not stop immediately!" Amber stands, her eyes blazing and her aura oozing with power. Mesus’s eyes widened.
"Dear, I think it is time we have a shift in power in our Lands, and Amber will be a breath of fresh air." Queen Adalia says, putting her hand on her husband’s arms.

"That will not be necessary, Solei. And if I can have you leave now, thank you. No one asked you to come and raise conflict." Amber turns her blazing eyes on the smirking goddess.
"You really are a rude little thing, huh." She waves her hand and both her and Selene disappear. A moment later Selene reappears in the room.
"Look within and the sun will always follow you, my child." She says all cryptic and then she’s gone.
"My Queen, I am sorry for my husband’s behavior, but he is not used to anyone telling what to do. We will gladly cooperate with the new order, and I look forward to our future corporation." She drags her husband from the room, and as they leave we can all hear her say "oh, shut up for the love of the goddess you whiny child!", and everyone laughs.
