Chapter 134: Chapter 134 Gone
Chase’s POV ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com
"So, you are saying that you planned all of this shit with that dumb bimbo just to get Amber jealous? That is the most stupid thing I’ve heard all year, and that is saying something. You do know that your plan was a complete failure, right?" Blaze huffs. He looks at his phone and pales. ƒгeewebnovёl.com
"I need to go now. Unless the two of you have some more long lost family members I need to know about."
"Well, now that you mention it."
"I was joking, Queen..."
"Mom, please. Or just Amber." Mom answered with tears in her eyes. I think she has been wanting this meeting forever, but never got the chance - before tonight.
"As I said, I have somewhere to be tonight, so.." Blaze hoists his backpack back on his shoulders and walks to the door. He looks at me over his shoulder.
"I wish you would have trusted her instead of going off with this insane plot." He opens the door, only to get nearly hit in the face by Ezra. I had honestly forgotten this guy was still here. He is the quiet and broody kind of guy, and he tends to just follow Amber around in the shadows. Making everyone forget he is even there.
"Ezzy Boo! You scared me." Blaze whines with a teasing tone, but Ezra only stares blankly at him.
"Somethings wrong. I can’t get a hold of Amber or Merida. I came here because I thought you were with them." He answers, his tone angry and concerned. Blaze looks at me, and then both our eyes cloud over at the same time.
"She’s not there?" Blaze says, after I have tried four times to reach her. I open our matebond connection, but I can’t feel her either.
"Can you feel her through the bond?" I ask, my thoughts going a mile a minute. Blaze concentrates, but then he shakes his head.
Ezra turns on his heel, and marches down the hallway. Both Blaze, my mom, and I hurry after him.
"Mom, how long do you have here?" I ask, not knowing when she is due to go back to the realm of the dead.
"I have time to make your father and his bitch of a mistress squirm." She answered with a hardened expression. Ezra runs down the hall and barges into the dinning hall where people are still eating and talking amongst themselves. He looks around, nods, and runs out again. People look at us with widened eyes, but I could care less. My princess, no, my Queen is missing and I will move all the realms to find her and bring her back with me. I know Blaze feels the same. We don’t have to speak, it’s like mom’s revelations opened another connection. The one to my long lost twin. I know per instinct what he is feeling, and I know we are in agreement. Amber needs to be found. She is in danger.
Gia’s face lit up at the sight of me, but I spared her no mind. My dad narrows his eyes at me, probably wondering where my warmth towards the girl he wants me to marry went? Blaze looks at both Gloria and Gia with unmasked contempt and they definitely notice it, as they exchange looks.
Then my father rises, a fake smile plastered on his face so as to not disturb the light and happy mood in here. When I don’t return the gesture, the happy mask falters a bit, and a look of discontent replaces it.
He walks to me, while asking the only thing he can in this situation.
"Son what’s the meaning..." My father pales at the sight of my mother.
"You can’t be here. You are dead." He stammers, while gripping the table. I spare him no chance to think before saying what I need.
"I know everything, Dad. And if you know what’s good for the Kingdom and yourselves, you will crown me and my rightful Queen the moment she is back. And if I find out you, Gloria, or Gia had anything to do with our mate missing, then you will be dead before you can claim innocence. Am I clear?" My aura is on full blast and so is Blaze’s. He can’t be King, but he is my twin brother and he will be respected as such!
"Chase, you have this all backwards I am sure. Let’s go and.."
"I am only going to find my mate." Then we are out the door, following the growling and heavy footsteps of the guardian who may have lost his charge - again.
In the clearing we find Merida lying, unconscious. Ezra runs to her, every muscle in his body tense as he reaches out to stroke her chin tenderly. How my fingers ache to touch Amber again. To stroke her cheek, look into her beautiful eyes and claim those plumb and soft lips of hers. I want nothing more than to worship her body, mind and soul. I want to redeem myself, because I know I fucked up big time. I know I am going to have to gravel and beg for her forgiveness, but I don’t care. She’s my everything, and have been since I met her as a small child. It is time I start showing her that and stop being selfish. Does the fact that Blaze is my twin have anything to do with this. Well, it certainly makes the decision and resolution easier.
"Merida, what happened?" Ezra asks, as the girl comes too. Her eyes sweep the clearing and land on Blaze and me. As she looks at me her eyes show anger and resentment.
"What’s he doing here?" She asks, not answering the question.
"He’s her mate too, babe."
"He’s a selfish and idiotic male. Nothing more and nothing less."
"He is, but he is still her mate, Mer. He has a right to be here." Ezra explains while hugging her to his side. Since when did they become so close?
"Princess Merida, I understand your hesitation, but I am here because I love Amber and I realize my mistakes. I will have to earn your trust and hers, but I’m here because she is missing." Merida snorts, but her hard expression softens a bit.
"The dark goddess took her." She says, and my world crumbles down.
