Chapter 83: The Fun And Strike Clan

"Do you want me to be your cat? Meow~" PearChasm said while posturing like a cat with her two paws up.

Flora saw PearChasm and imitated her. She also raised her hands up like a cat’s paws.

"Flora, don’t imitate her." Misho pointed at her.

"Yes, Father..."

Flora lowered her head and looked wronged.

"Come. I won’t tell you if you don’t behave," Misho said to PearChasm.

"Yes, Owner."

PearChasm jumped up from the bed and stood beside him obediently.

Maia rolled her eyes at PearChasm and pulled Misho’s hand.

"Let’s go."

...

The group left the inn and headed to the Adventurer Guild.

"Owner, they should be here," PearChasm said as she led the way.

"Stop calling me that."

"Meow?"

PearChasm turned around and blinked her eyes innocently.

She really looked like a cat, causing Misho to look away because of how cute she looked from his perspective.

PearChasm grinned proudly after seeing his reaction. She walked closer and playfully scratched his chest.

As for Maia, she felt odd seeing PearChasm openly flirt with Misho. Instead of feeling jealous, she was proud that Misho had a woman flirting with him like that.

It was a weird thought from Maia, but she realized it would be her life now that she was playing Aphrodos with him. She accepted it and decided to continue supporting him.

"Stop doing that. Everyone is looking," Misho said and awkwardly rubbed his nose.

He glanced around them and saw both players and NPCs alike staring at them weirdly. He felt awkward from all the judging gazes they gave them.

"Hehe."

PearChasm grinned smugly and stopped acting like a cat. They walked for a while before they arrived in front of the Adventurer Guild. Compared to before, there were fewer players around, but it was still a crowded place.

The Adventurer Guild was a tall wooden building with a double door entrance. Unlike before, there were various stalls set up all over the place.

"There they are." PearChasm pointed to a stall with a party of seven players standing behind the counter.

Misho’s group approached them, and their eyes collectively lit up.

"Welcome! Do you guys want to join Fun And Strike Clan?" a busty woman in her late twenties asked.

She wore a tight dress around her chest that emphasized her two voluminous mountains. It was white, and she looked rather noble and beautiful.

"Yes. We want to join," Misho replied.

The six other people behind the woman smiled widely after hearing his answer. They all released a sigh of relief at the same time. Misho could tell that they were nervous before.

"Thank you!" the woman screamed in delight.

"What’s wrong?" Misho curiously asked.

The seven of them looked at each other before looking back at Misho.

"We needed to achieve a quota today to be promoted by the Clan," the woman answered.

"Quota?"

"Yes. Our superiors gave us all a Quest. We thought it would be easy to achieve, but it suddenly became impossible to recruit anyone. They were either in a clan already or don’t want to join any clan," she explained to him. freewebnøvel.coɱ

"What’s your clan about?" Pear asked.

"Hmm... We aren’t that familiar with it, but the superiors told us the clan focuses on having fun and striking monsters," the woman said while holding her chin.

"Oh? But why did it say that you guys were an organized army in the RG Booklet?" Misho asked.

"We do formation training outside the city. It’s rumored that one of our founders is a member of the Solar Army. You know, the space army ran by the whole human race."

"Really? What is he doing playing this game?" Misho asked in disbelief.

Soldiers of the Solar Army were said to not have any time to have breaks. They were the epitome of hard work in the eyes of every human. Their job was to monitor the Solar System’s outskirts and make sure there was no extraterrestrial threat.

And they were also popular with their spaceship formations. It was much harder to traverse space, so it required a lot of skills to do. In comparison, they were equivalent to the popular Blue Angels of the past.

"It’s only a rumor. The founders rarely show their faces except to the trusted Core Clan Members."

"That makes it worthwhile to join then," Misho said.

"Here. Fill these papers up. Once you are done, we will send copies to the headquarters, and you will officially be a part of the clan. They will then confirm it and give you a link to our own forum," she explained.

"What about her?" Misho asked and sneakily sideglanced at Flora, who was looking around as she had no idea what they were talking about.

"She can’t join our clan. The developers haven’t prevented us from doing so, but we believe that they would only be a hassle. They wouldn’t know about the real world, so it was better not to invite them."

"Okay. Thank you." Misho nodded his head at her.

He understood everything she said. He was initially reluctant to join this clan, but after hearing about the member of the Solar Army playing the game, his interest was fully acquired.

It also made sense to him that they deny NPCs because it was impossible to tell them about the real world without the game cutting them off. It would only make the clan more complex than it needed to be.

"Father, what about me?" Flora asked with a saddened look on her face.

Flora felt left out by them. It was as if they were isolating her. It was a bitter feeling for her, and she wanted it to stop.

"You don’t need to join," Misho replied.

"But I want to join with Father!" Flora complained.

Misho felt bad as he looked at her frowning face. She looked like she was about to cry.

"Okay. Relax. You can’t join, but that doesn’t mean you can’t follow me when I do their quests," Misho said in a gentle voice.

"Okay, Father..." Flora responded in a weak voice as she looked down at the floor.
