Chapter 191: Killing Demonic Beasts
"Alright. If you somehow manage to return from the north zone alive with precious information on the enemy’s forces, then you shall be rewarded with 100,000 sect contribution points." The old man declared.
Excitement appeared briefly on Tang Yin’s face before disappearing. He then bowed once more to show his respect and left the building.
Once Tang Yin left, the Elder let out another soft sigh. "Greed can send a person to their death. It’s a pity, a disciple of her strength would have been very useful on the front lines. Forget it, obtaining intel on the Demonic Beasts is also very important if she returns." The old man muttered under his breath. He then slowly closed his eyes.
Tang Yin left the island as soon as he exited the Elder’s building. He headed straight for the giant ravine.
When he arrived before the large crack which separated the ocean in half and led to an abyss, Tang Yin stopped.
He looked down into the darkness, even with the Heaven Piercing Gaze, he could not see its depths.
’These giant ravines which split the Devil Sea Region into 4 zones should not have appeared out of nowhere. Where did they come from or who created them?’ Tang Yin pondered internally, but he did not dwell on this, it had nothing to do with him.
He sped across the giant ravine, even with his speed, it took a good minute to cross.
Once he reached the other side, nothing happened or changed despite now being inside of the north zone.
Tang Yin dived into the ocean. He used the Heaven Deceiving Art to transform into a tiny harmless fish. Then with an insane burst of speed, he rushed off into the distance looking for Demonic Beasts to prey on.
The outskirts of the north zone were rife with low-ranking Demonic Beasts, Tang Yin killed any that he chanced upon.
He took their Beast Souls and stored them in the Beast Soul Receptacle. Then he stored their corpses in his storage ring.
As Tang Yin neared the outer depths of the north zone, he finally started to encounter Rank 4 Demonic Beasts.
The first one he met was a Demonic Beast which looked like a shark. Its fins and tail were covered in scales which shone with an azure light. Its teeth were also much larger and sharper. It was a Low-tier Rank 1 Demonic Beast.
Tang Yin did not need to do much to kill it. He immobilized it with the Void Chains, rendering it no chance to resist. Then he finished it off with the Ethereal Slaughter Art. It required almost no effort or cost to kill the Low-tier Rank 4 Demonic Beast.
After killing it, he stored its soul in the Beat Soul Receptacle and its corpse in his storage ring.
Finally, Tang Yin transformed back into a harmless little fish to search for his next target.
Tang Yin spent the next few days repeating this. He mostly encountered Low-tier Rank 4 Demonic Beasts and a few Mid-tier Rank 4 Demonic Beasts.
The Low-tier Rank 4 Demonic Beasts were very easy to deal with and required minimal effort.
The Mid-tier Rank 4 Demonic Beasts required more effort and expenditure than Abyss Qi. However, they still died in the end.
Tang Yin made sure to capture their Beast Souls, he had a use for them later. As for their corpses, he saved them inside his storage ring instead of devouring them.
Before long, Tang Yin finally encountered his first High-tier Rank 4 Demonic Beasts.
The Demonic Beast was a 30-meter large pufferfish. It had numerous sharp black spikes protruding out of its body. The spikes were also coated in a layer of corrosive poison. It had huge red lips which could send shudders down one’s spine.
Tang Yin had a neutral expression. He was planning to hunt down Rank 5 Demonic Beasts, this Rank 4 Demonic Beast was nothing to him. frёewebηovel.cѳm
As the pufferfish closed in, it opened its huge red lips and sucked in. Tang Yin felt a suction force trying to pull him into the sea beast’s mouth.
He let out a cold snort, and a single Void Chain emerged from the void to close the beast’s mouth.
Crimson fog seeped out of his pores and took the shape of several spears before shooting toward the pufferfish’s body.
Tang Yin used a large amount of the refined Killing Intent inside of his body to attack. Therefore, the amount of Killing Intent compacted inside of a single spear was colossal.
The pufferfish’s body inflated upon seeing the several crimson spears approaching it at an insane speed.
Corrosive black poison gathered at the tips of its spikes before shooting out in all directions.
The water made sizzling sounds before being corroded. This gave rise to a large amount of steam and bubbles which clouded Tang Yin’s vision.
Tang Yin smirked coldly, he activated the Heaven Piercing Gaze.
