Chapter 135: Trapped

In a dark space which resembled the void, there was a large platform afloat. The floating platform was very large, around a thousand meters wide. There was nothing on the platform, it was empty with the exception of 2 bodies.

One of the bodies was a human male, he had long red hair and a peerlessly handsome face. The other body was one of a female. She had long waist-length black hair, breathtaking beauty and a curvaceous figure.

Tang Yin and Xiao Fei were both unconscious, their eyes were tightly shut. Anyone would be able to harm them in their current state, but there was no one around to harm them.

A few hours later, Tang Yin’s eyes fluttered before being flung open, he regained consciousness. He immediately got up and vigilantly looked around while taking a defensive stance.

When Tang Yin surveyed his surroundings with the Heaven Piercing Gaze, all he saw was a large platform which was a thousand feet wide. When he looked up subconsciously, his mouth went agape in shock.

There was a palace floating above the thousand-foot-wide platform. It was 5,000 feet tall and was crafted from flawless white jade. It was exquisitely beautiful and released sparkling twinkles of light. Surrounding it was a layer of dense golden light that encompassed its figure vaguely.

This was the first time Tang Yin saw such a structure, the white jade palace looked heavenly and untainted by mortal hands. Only after a while longer did Tang Yin snap out of his shock, his attention shifted to Xiao Fei who was beside him.

He crouched down and slowly injected some Abyss Qi into her delicate little body to provide some nourishment. It did not take long for this to take effect, Xiao Fei slowly woke up.

"Master, where- "Xiao Fei asked while looking around curiously, her words were swiftly cut off when she looked at the white jade palace which was afloat.

Tang Yin expected Xiao Fei’s shock, he waited a bit for her to exit her daze.

He knew what she was about to say, so he answered, "I don’t know where we are, I woke up a few minutes ago as well." fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm

"Master, you’re injured." Xiao Fei noticed some blood stains on Tang Yin’s robes and blurted out. Tang Yin looked down and it was just as Xiao Fei had said, there were small gashes all over his body, they were leaking tiny amounts of blood which stained his robes.

Tang Yin brought out some Tier 9 and Tier 8 Artifacts, he slowly devoured them to recover. The small gashes quickly closed up, only leaving small trails of blood.

He then looked at Xiao Fei’s small figure and curvaceous body, she was not injured in the slightest. This was mainly due to her body being very tough and durable as a Demonic Beast.

"Master, what happened? I only remember being hit by those sea waves and then I woke up here." Xiao Fei asked with bewilderment. Although Tang Yin experienced the same thing, in her eyes, her Master was all-knowing.

"If I’m not wrong, then we were sucked into the Tides of Chaos." Tang Yin replied after a moment of thought. He knew this because he had used Soul Plunder on all of the cultivators he had massacred on the islands the duo passed on their journey to Sea Star City.

"Tides of Chaos? What’s that?" Xiao Fei puzzledly asked. She did not have a skill which could search memories like Soul Plunder, it was only natural she did not know what the Tides of Chaos were.

"The Tides of Chaos are one of the three calamities of the Devil Sea Region. It only occurs once every couple of thousands of years. Apparently, its appearance can take place in any zone of the Devil Sea Region, it seems we are quite unlucky."

"Any cultivator who goes near the Tides of Chaos without the cultivation of at least Qi Transformation is almost guaranteed death. Even cultivators who have gone into the Tides of Chaos rarely return and most are never seen again, those who return don’t speak about what they experienced inside." Tang Yin spoke slowly to let Xiao Fei understand what he was saying.

"Then are we inside of the Tides of Chaos right now?" Xiao Fei asked once again, there was no sea or ocean other than the platform and white jade palace, only an empty void.

"Perhaps, we will have to either wait for other cultivators to enter or explore this place ourselves." Tang Yin replied, he himself was not so sure either.

"Wait for other cultivators? Won’t they be at least of the Qi Transformation Realm?" Xiao Fei immediately exclaimed.

"Most likely, it’s better to explore this place before any other cultivators arrive." Tang Yin said, the duo then walked around the platform, searching for any clues they could find.

Unfortunately, the platform was empty, the only clue was that it was very smooth. Clearly, it was manmade. Tang Yin could not reach the white jade palace because he could not fly. Besides he did not try, he could feel a strong sense of danger from the dense golden light around the white jade palace.

After finding no clues, the duo gave up. There was not much they could do other than to jump off the platform into the dark void, but that was akin to suicide.

Tang Yin and Xiao Fei sat down cross-legged on the platform, there was nothing much they could do. There was no exit, or a way forward. They could do nothing except for staying on the platform.
