"Damn! This woman is too powerful! We’re no match for her at all!"

Witnessing the man’s tragic state, his remaining companions gasped. They all backed away unconsciously as Xiao Xiao took step after deliberate step toward them.

"What do we do now? Our strongest fighter and even our boss were taken down by this woman. Even if we all attack together, we won’t be a match for her," someone in the crowd said, his voice trembling.

The others shook with fear. "He’s right, what do we do? Are we all going to die by her hand today?"

"I’m still so young... I haven’t even gotten married yet! I don’t want to die by her hand!"

Before long, sobs echoed through the crowd.

The man at the front, irritated by the noise, shouted, "What’s the point of crying at a time like this?! Can’t any of you think of a plan?"

Watching them, Xiao Xiao’s eyes slowly turned red as her aura grew increasingly malevolent. "A plan? Hahaha! You’re already at death’s door. It’s all futile."

The ferocity in Xiao Xiao’s tone silenced everyone with fear.

Perhaps her appearance was too terrifying, because a voice slowly rose from the crowd. "Right, that’s it! I remember, isn’t there a great monster’s cave nearby? If we can lure it out to deal with her, maybe we can escape?"

The group huddled together, quickly formed a plan, and then ran off in one direction.

They ran blindly for a great distance but still couldn’t find the monster’s cave.

"What’s going on? Wasn’t it in this direction?" someone asked, spinning around in frantic anxiety.

The men running behind him were just as panicked.

"Yeah! Where is it?! If we can’t find it soon, we’re done for!"

They were on the verge of tears from desperation as Xiao Xiao closed in behind them.

"Go on, keep running! Let’s see how long you can last!"

Xiao Xiao’s words were like a death knell, spurring them to run even harder. However, one man was slower than the rest and suddenly tripped on a stone. When Xiao Xiao caught up, she didn’t hesitate, smashing his head in with a single blow.

The sight terrified everyone into a desperate, frenzied search for the Monster Beast’s cave.

"Found it! I found it! It’s right ahead!" the man in the lead suddenly shouted, pointing excitedly at a huge cave.

Those behind him let out a collective sigh of relief.

"Quick! Don’t waste time! Let’s lure the thing inside out!" The man directed the others, and they all scrambled into the cave.

Xiao Xiao stopped at the entrance, finding it utterly ridiculous that they were still trying to hide. Still thinking of hiding, even now? Do they really believe the creature inside can defeat me?

Her eyes filled with a bloodthirsty light, making her look like a crazed killer. This, combined with the faint Demonic Qi leaking from her body, gave her the appearance of a goddess of slaughter.

ROAR!

Just as Xiao Xiao prepared to charge in, a deafening roar erupted from within the cave. A moment later, a huge monster charged out. It was as tall as a five-story building. It had the massive body of a bear but, bizarrely, sported the head of a tiger.

Upon emerging, the monster roared furiously at Xiao Xiao. "Puny human, you dare disturb my rest! Such arrogance!"

The oppressive might emanating from the monster was exceptionally strong. As it appeared, the very colors of the sky and earth seemed to shift. A violent gale howled, blowing so fiercely that Xiao Xiao could barely keep her eyes open.

"You’re nothing but a talking monster, daring to act so brazenly before me! How preposterous!" Xiao Xiao shouted back as the energy around her surged.

She thrust her fists forward. Streams of air converged in the sky, forming a giant phantom of the Vermilion Bird that hurtled violently toward the Bear Body Tiger Head Monster.

The Bear Body Tiger Head Monster let out a screech. It opened its gaping mouth and spewed tongues of fire that collided with the Vermilion Bird phantom. The two attacks met with a fierce explosion in mid-air. A powerful shockwave swept out in all directions, shaking the world and filling the air with dense dust.

After the two forces neutralized each other, a calm returned, but an incredibly terrifying pressure lingered. Neither had expected the other to possess such terrifying strength. It was something neither of them had ever witnessed before.

With a mere thought, Xiao Xiao dissipated the Vermilion Bird phantom. She then stepped forward, shooting toward the monster like a blade.

The Bear Body Tiger Head Monster roared in anger and swiped its claws through the air. Countless black rays of light flickered in its palms and shot toward Xiao Xiao like bullets, tearing through all resistance in the void.

Xiao Xiao’s brows furrowed. She lifted her right foot and tapped it gently forward, instantly triggering a series of sonic booms in the air.

"You’re truly seeking death! Daring to act up in front of me with just a little bit of strength!" Xiao Xiao roared furiously, positioning herself directly above the monster.

The monster’s eyes narrowed as its body suddenly dropped low. With a tremendous kick against the ground, its entire body shot into the air, its claws slashing viciously at Xiao Xiao.

Xiao Xiao snorted coldly. She rapidly retreated to dodge its claws, then spun around. Her left hand transformed into the Vermilion Bird Palm and clawed at the monster’s neck.

Seeing her move, the monster pressed its claws downward, and the surrounding space seemed to solidify.

Xiao Xiao’s expression changed slightly. She executed a roll to evade its claws and stomped hard on the ground. A powerful force surged toward the monster, pushing it back.

The monster’s claws shot out again, reaching for Xiao Xiao.

"This is horrifying! That woman can actually fight the monster in there to a standstill!"

"Thank goodness! We were so lucky! If we hadn’t found this Monster Beast at the crucial moment, we’d have died without even knowing how!"

"Right. We have to report this to the Young Miss immediately!"

"But we won’t even have to tell the Young Miss. There’s no way this woman is walking away from that monster alive!"
