Xiao Xiao had not seen Ye Qingchen all day and was growing anxious.

"That’s none of your business!" the leader of the group sneered. "You should be more worried about yourself!"

Xiao Xiao frowned, but before she could say anything, someone stepped out from behind her and knocked her unconscious without another word.

"The Young Lady’s orders are to throw her into the deepest part of the back mountain!" the man commanded. With a wave of his hand, everyone behind him sprang into action.

"Boss, what a waste," one of them said, looking at Xiao Xiao’s face with regret as they carried her. "A girl this pretty, just getting thrown out here. Tsk, tsk."

The leader looked back at his men and said slowly, "Do you know what the Young Lady’s instructions were?"

They all shook their heads in unison.

"The Young Lady said to throw her on the back mountain to feed the beasts." A ferocious smile spread across the leader’s face. "Instead of just feeding her to them, why don’t we have a little fun first?"

The men behind him immediately started shouting excitedly.

"Haha, that’s our boss for you! Thinking the exact same thing we are."

"Alright, alright, enough talk," the boss commanded. "Let’s get this girl deep into the mountain, finish our business, and get back quickly!"

The group excitedly carried Xiao Xiao to the deepest part of the back mountain. After finding a clearing, they all began to leer at her.

"Boss, if that’s the plan, then you should go first!"

"Yeah! Yeah! The brothers will wait for you to have your fun before we take a turn!" they shouted eagerly.

The leader snickered, rubbing his hands together in anticipation as he slowly approached Xiao Xiao. However, just as he got close, her eyes snapped open.

"Huh? You’re awake already?" he said, startled, though he quickly regained his composure. "Haha, well, it’s better that you’re awake. It would be boring if you didn’t put up a fight!"

As he spoke, he reached a hand toward Xiao Xiao.

But she gave him no such chance. The moment his hand drew near, she shot her own out and clamped down on his throat.

"Heh, I bet you didn’t expect this," she said coldly. "I was never unconscious."

Seeing no opportunity to escape, Xiao Xiao had formulated a plan the moment she laid eyes on them. Do these people really think I’m so easy to bully?

Seeing their boss in her grip, the other men began to shout. "Let him go, you bitch! You got a death wish?!"

Watching them yell, the man caught by Xiao Xiao still had a smug grin on his face. "Whoa, whoa, brothers, don’t be so hasty! The little lady wants to play, so let’s play with her! This is the kind I like best!"

Hearing their boss still joking around, the men relaxed their guard. After all, in their eyes, Xiao Xiao was nowhere near as strong as their boss. Even now, with her hand around his throat, it was probably nothing more than a tickle to him.

"Little girl, you’re just my type," the man said with a lecherous smile. "Be a good girl later, and I promise to make you feel good. Better yet, after we’ve had our fun, how about we ’rescue’ you from here? You can stick with me from now on. What do you think?"

The man’s shameless words made Xiao Xiao’s brow furrow in disgust.

"Heh. I think you’re the one with a death wish."

The man was about to retort but, with a single, forceful motion, Xiao Xiao snapped his neck.

This scene left everyone frozen in shock.

"Shit! The boss! The boss! That bitch killed the boss!" one of them finally screamed.

In an instant, the entire group went mad, raising their weapons and glaring at Xiao Xiao with rage.

"You bitch! You rejected the path to heaven and came barging through the gates of Hell! Since you killed our boss, we’ll kill you!"

"That’s right! The Young Lady said to leave you for the beasts, but it looks like we won’t have to bother!"

"Brothers, get her! Chop this bitch to pieces!" a man roared.

The entire group surged toward Xiao Xiao.

"You think a bunch of small fry like you can take me on?" Xiao Xiao sneered. "How ridiculous."

As she finished speaking, powerful energy erupted from her body. A terrifying aura instantly enveloped the space, so potent that the very air seemed to twist. The men’s faces paled.

"What do we do?" one of them stammered.

"This bitch is too strong! We have to retreat!" another yelled.

"Retreat? Screw that! I’m going to kill her today!" a third man shouted, refusing to back down.

"He’s right! Everyone, charge together!"

"Kill her!"

"Get her!"

As the men charged, Xiao Xiao unleashed a blast of energy from her palm. The attack was incredibly fast, crossing the distance in the blink of an eye.

SMACK!

A sharp crack echoed through the air. The man who had shouted just moments before spat out a mouthful of blood as his body flew backward, crashing straight through a nearby wall. The others froze, stunned. They hadn’t expected this woman to be so powerful. She had taken one of them down in a single move.

A burly man stepped forward with a cold snort. "So what if you’re strong? There are more than a dozen of us! I refuse to believe we can’t handle one bitch!"

The man then swung his fist, smashing it toward Xiao Xiao.

A small smile touched Xiao Xiao’s lips as she deftly dodged to the side.

BAM!

The man’s fist slammed into the spot where Xiao Xiao had just stood. The wall behind it caved in, sending shards of brick and stone flying.

Xiao Xiao looked at him, her smile widening slightly. "You’re too weak."

The man’s face darkened. He stomped heavily on the fractured ground, and the stones beneath his boot crumbled further with a loud CRUNCH. His gaze on Xiao Xiao turned icy. "Bitch, I’m about to find out if you’re really as tough as you act!"

With that, the man swung his fists at Xiao Xiao again.

She dodged once more, this time flowing from the evasion into a sweeping kick that connected brutally with his abdomen. The man was sent sprawling to the ground. He clutched his stomach, feeling as if it had been split open. The pain was so intense that beads of sweat broke out on his forehead.

The rest of the group was dumbfounded. How is she this strong?

Xiao Xiao glanced at the stunned men and snorted. A black energy ball materialized in her hand, and she flung it toward another one of the men.

He reacted swiftly, dodging the main blast, but the black energy ball still slammed into his right arm. A strange force transmitted through him, and with a sickening snap, his left arm broke, blood gushing freely.

"ARGH..." the man screamed, his face twisting in agony.
